A Viewer Writes

Someone should do an article on your blog about all the traffic changes in the park. It's a total mess what Jake Day has done. And will be from here on as events occur in the park, like the band concerts, etc.

  2. What a cluster that is!! And just in time for spring

  3. If you read his posts on other forums you will see he is unable to think for himself and seems to believe any and all bs espoused by the so called "experts".

I would like to know just how many pedestrian accidents and deaths happened there to elicit such a changed, because that is the reason for the change OR was it because he spent all the money from roads dept and parks dept on the folked festival and these are state funds so to get the money from the state he HAD to do this to make it look like the city was making improvements and hide the fact that he emptied important infrascture departments to put on a party?

Hmmm. Inquiring minds want to know.

    1. 9:32- How about fix the problems rather than create new ones. I love when idiots try to be snarky. Try again

    2. Should've just left it alone, there was never a problem to begin with. Just another example of Democrats "fixing" what isn't broke.

    3. Exactly right 10:17
I Rode through the park yesterday just to see what all the fuss was about. The new improvement is the most idiotic change I have ever seen. That road could not be designed worse if they tried. Some heads need to roll from this costly mistake.

    4. Compliments of Tom "I'll kiss whoever is in charge ass" Stevenson. It didn't matter if it was tilghman, Ireton and now Day I'm kissing somebodys ass to get ahead. He's F'd everything up he's touched since being employed by the city

  7. @9:32 bulldoze it all! Build a zoo where the animals won't be in jeopardy every time you get a heavy rain because your idiot mayor has spent all the city coffers on frivolous social agendas and not your 100 year old infrastructure. COMMON SENSE

  8. OOH sh** say it isn't so!! You've just revealed Tom Stevenson's incompetence again. Damn they've given him every opportunity to succeed but time and Tim's again he's proven he's not qualified to be any type of managerial administrator. The guy needs to be running a crew not a whole damn department

  9. Can a Salisbury mayor be recalled?

  10. Another failed female leader who claims to be a male. What do you think? Captain courageous .

  11. Damn Tom Stevenson just can't get anything right. Tilghman gives him every chance under the sun and he realizes he's in over his head. Now Day"creates" a position so he can bow out gracefully after his exposure of incompetence and the Parker incident. Now the idiot oversees and approved this cluster****? Wow Salisbury you have a band of idiots running your city

  12. @9:56 I guess Stevenson didn't take the correspondence course on engineering and design, LMFAO!! Prime example of what Salisbury is all about. Kissing ass and covering for each other's drunken stupor

  13. According to Jake on a now restricted thread on the speech controlled forum of Nextdoor. He claims only a minority of citizens are against this change and it is only because you fear change. One citizen asked him how he came to this conclusion and suddenly the thread was shut down.

By the preponderance of the evidence, the "Nextdoor" forum is run by a liberal who wants to control your speech. And Jake has a magic ball and knows what everyone is thinking, (as long as it meets with his agenda) and if you disagree with his magic ball you are dismissed.

  14. This whole park "re-do" mess, is just that, a mess and a big one at that. It's an accident waiting to happen. Why didn't this ignorant city take that money and just pave the road thru there.

  15. April 9, 2019 at 10:46 AM - Because they had to kiss the states azz to get it and do what the state said whether it was conducive to the area or not.

What is interesting is what the Mayor really thinks of the city's citizens. We all living in fear of change, because he be more edumacated than us stoopid old regular folk. Duh Duh Duh.

  16. Put pretty rainbow paint on it with a unicorn to direct traffic and " the world will live as one ".

  17. No need to worry Salisbury this screw up and inconvenience will all go away come September and your folk festival. You have the to, I mean best in the world OBOE player coming to perform for you!! All I can say is WOW!!

  19. Just to answer a couple of questions. I have lived in Salisbury for 60 years now and as far as I know there has never been a pedestrian fatality in the park area. And as to what my suggestion would be is to simply put in speed humps or speed tables to make sure that people are going the 25 M.P.H. speed limit. that would have been much cheaper and easier. I live in the park and it has been one headache after another. The city never let anyone here know what they were going to do until some of us called. they started construction the next day before they got our complaints. Also try getting your boat or a trailer out of your street. Just a total waste of money and nightmare. Also now there is much less parking to be had. Thanks for nothing Jake.

  20. Jake Day and his freakshow going around singing John Lennon "imagine" and forcing his admittedly progressive socialist liberal agenda down our throats. Us it just me or dies anyone else see something wrong with that picture??

    ReplyDelete
  21. My question to ALL that have property in the city limits of Salisbury why aren't you holding Day's ass to the fire?? Start forcing some public inquiries and accountability to all his wreckless spending. Make him show you proof other than some bogus statistics from his exaggerated city administrator version of the events he's wasting your money on

    ReplyDelete
  22. That park area is gonna be Hell in the snow.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 12:42, did you read 11:54 AM comment? Jake Day does not let residents know anything, nor does he accept complaints from city residents. If he wants to do whatever, he does it. No conversations with city residents, no warnings, no nothing, he just does whatever, whenever. All I can say is karma is a bitch Jake, so watch out.

  26. @1:53 then go above his head. Reach out to Annapolis and the ethics commission. I've learned when you go outside their little circle jerk you'll get results

  28. Smile Salisbury you have top shelf talent coming to your festival. Like previously stated that you have THE BEST OBOE PLAYER in the world playing. OK OK OK I'm being sarcastic. How many people on the shore listen to any resemblance of an oboe performance?? LMFAO unless this dude has some strippers dancing or a DJ scratching beats these low life's around here don't give two shits

  29. While everyone is active on this thread how did Jake Day's ice rink venture pan out for Salisbury??

    ReplyDelete
  30. first off the feds set the criteria for road and highway design. just like fitzwater street always flooding the city can never seem to figure out the wheel has already been invented. My advice when an accident happens get the highway standards and sue the crap out of the city for failure to meet those standards. Secondly who the hell goes to the city dump? more trash there then at the county dump!

  31. My stomach turns literally when Jake Day is mentioned with all his cohorts. No one has any idea. I agree with so much of what has been said. It's pretty frustrating to see spending and spending and spending on things we don't need and MESSING UP THINGS THAT WERE NICE BEFORE. And, yes, he is creating problems where there were none and IGNORING THE REAL PROBLEMS.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nope, 12:42. We tried that. What were we told? "You need to handle the problems on the local level." I am not lying. Yep. And when we tried that? We got nothing or hell like you would not believe.

  33. Is there any money left to fix the city streets that are in badly need of repairs? Pot holes everywhere.

  34. Friday four school buses picking up kids had a hard time moving around the circle and picking up kids! I travel the road five days a week, and someone has made a mess of an unneeded plan!

    ReplyDelete
  35. 9:32 am a good plan would be to undo it, I travel this road five days a week and never saw any problem, until now!

  36. I have to agree with some of the previous posts. This Stevenson guy has literally been handed a free pass at the city. He was totally out of his element trying to be an acting administrator. It was an embarrassment watching the guy try to fake his way through the city meetings. Finally after the Susan Phillips fiasco Day literally creates a position for this douchebag and look what his lack of formal training has gotten you in the Salisbury park. What kind of idiot would sign off on such a cluster F***. City of Salisbury it's not what you know it's who you B***, LITERALLY
