Watchdog group Judicial Watch released 42 pages of heavily redacted State Department documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which reveal that the Obama State Department provided Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) a "dossier of classified information on Russia" in order to undermine President Trump, according to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
“These documents show the Obama State Department under John Kerry gathered and sent its own dossier of classified information on Russia to Senator Ben Cardin, a political ally in the U.S. Senate, to undermine President Trump,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Judicial Watch will pursue information on who pulled this classified information, who authorized its release, and why was it evidently dumped just days before President Trump’s inauguration.”
The documents show Russian political interference in elections and politics in countries across Europe.
According to a March 2017 report in the Baltimore Sun: “Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin received classified information about Russia’s involvement in elections when the Obama administration was attempting to disseminate that material widely across the government in order to aid in future investigations, according to a report Wednesday … Obama officials were concerned, according to the report [in The New York Times], that the Trump administration would cover up intelligence once power changed hands.” -Judicial Watch
In March 2017, Former Obama Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Evelyn Farkas, made some stunning admissions during an interview with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.

Trump Rips Sen. Blumenthal's Fake Vietnam Status: 'Single Greatest Fraud That I’ve Seen of Anybody That Ran for Office'
Without naming him, President Donald Trump ripped Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) Thursday for lying about his military record, saying the Connecticut senator “defrauded the whole world with his Vietnam status.”
The president made his comments while responding to John Frey, state representative and Connecticut National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee (RNC), during a Q&A session at the Winter RNC meeting in Washington, DC.
Earlier in the event, the White House press pool was escorted out, cutting the broadcast coverage of Trump’s speech short, but Breitbart News obtained a copy of the event’s audio.
“How about your senator who defrauded the whole world with his Vietnam status?” Trump said after Frey mentioned the state’s governor.
“When I was in [unclear Vietnam] province…” Trump continued — pretending to be Blumenthal, who for years, misrepresented his military service until exposed in 2010 by theNew York Times.
“Guy never went to Vietnam!” Trump said. “And then he won the race. He’s a fr– And then I watch him on television.”
“I do not like what I see on [unclear],” Trump said in a proper voice, again impersonating the senator.

Jim Jordan: DOJ & FBI Dressed Up Opposition Research to 'Spy on an American Citizen'
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), former chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, argued during a conference call on Friday that members of the DOJ and FBI dressed up an opposition research document to “spy on an American citizen during a presidential campaign.”
The White Hous and the House Intelligence Committee released the FISA memo that details how the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) allegedly used the Steele dossier to spy on Trump campaign staffer Carter Page.
Breitbart News’s Kristina Wong asked Rep. Jordan, “Do you agree with Comey’s assertion today that the memo has wrecked the House Intelligence Committee, destroyed trust with the IC [Intelligence Community], damaged its relationship with the FISA court, and exposed classified investigations?”

Subject: Rod Rosenstein Reportedly Threatened Nunes, House Intel Members With Subpoena: Report
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena the "texts and messages" of House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and other members of Congress, according to legal analyst Greg Jarrett.
I can tell you a congressional source tells me that Rod Rosenstein in a meeting three weeks ago threatened Chairman Nunes and members of Congress he was going to subpoena their texts and messages because he was tired of dealing with the intel committee. That’s threats and intimidation and retaliation. -Greg Jarrett
Rosenstein was named in the four-page FISA memo as both signing off on one or more FISA applications on behalf of the DOJ, and working closely with then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr - who was demoted for failing to reveal his ties to the author of the infamous 35-page "Trump-Russia" dossier.
Moments after the announcement that the memo was declassified, Trump spoke to reporters and was asked if the memo makes it more likely that he will fire Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, to which Trump responded:

House Intel Memo Vindicates Breitbart News, Mark Levin, Donald Trump
Politicians and pundits are debating the memorandum released Friday by the House Intelligence Committee, which suggests that the FBI used the dubious products of Democrats’ opposition research to obtain a warrant to spy on a Trump associate.
But no one is debating the fact that the surveillance took place, and there is now evidence that it was politically motivated — which vindicates Breitbart News, radio host Mark Levin, and President Trump himself.
On March 2, 2016, Levin noted mainstream media reports that suggested that law enforcement and intelligence agencies had conducted surveillance of Trump associates during the last months of the Obama administration. He also noted President Barack Obama had taken the unusual step of allowing surveillance reports to be disseminated more widely within the government, which made it more likely that details would be leaked to sympathetic media.

Reince Priebus Recounts White House Conversation With Andrew McCabe
Former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus gave new details on Sunday about a conversation that he had last February with then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe at the White House.
In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Priebus said that McCabe walked into his office on Feb. 14, shut the door, and told him point-blank that a New York Times report about alleged contacts between Trump campaign aides and Russian intelligence was “BS.”
That meeting has been the source of allegations that Priebus pressured McCabe to publicly knock down the report of repeated contacts with Russians.
On Feb. 24, CNN published a report citing multiple unnamed sources who said that the FBI rejected the request from McCabe, who left his job as deputy director earlier this week. The article, which has been heavily edited since publication, initially framed the White House and Priebus in a negative light by suggesting that Priebus took a proactive step to ask McCabe to rebut the Times report.

Mark Felt - Wikipedia
William Mark Felt Sr. (August 17, 1913 – December 18, 2008) was a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) special agent and the Bureau'sAssociate Director, the FBI's second-highest-ranking post, from May 1972 until his retirement from the FBI in June 1973. During his time as Associate Director, Felt served as an anonymous informant, nicknamed "Deep Throat," to reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post. He provided them with critical information about the Watergate scandal, a scandal which ultimately led to the resignation ofPresident Richard M. Nixon in 1974. Though Felt's identity as Deep Throat was strongly suspected by some in Washington, including Nixon himself, and was speculated by many others, it generally remained a secret for the next 30 years. In 2005, Felt finally acknowledged that he was Deep Throat, after being persuaded by his daughter to reveal his identity.
Felt worked in several FBI field offices prior to his promotion to the Bureau's headquarters inWashington, D.C. In 1980, Felt was convicted of having violated the civil rights of people thought to be associated with members of the Weather Underground, by ordering FBI agents to break into their homes and search the premises as part of an attempt to prevent bombings. He was ordered to pay a fine, but was pardoned by President Ronald Reaganduring his appeal.
Felt published two memoirs: The FBI Pyramid in 1979 (updated in 2006), and A G-Man's Life, written with John O'Connor, in 2006. In 2012, the FBI released Felt's personnel file at the agency, covering the period from 1941 to 1978. It also released files pertaining to an extortion threat made against Felt in 1956.

ASSANGE: Twitter bots boosting McCain attacks on FISA memo release, Trump
U.S. Sen. John McCain gets a lot of love on social media, but it’s fake and intended to attack President Trump, according to Julian Assange.
The WikiLeaks founder noted on Twitter today that bots are supporting the Trump critic and darling of Democrats.
Assange posted screen captures of several of examples of what he calls bot activity.
They show several accounts tweeting the same article, titled “John McCain just made a startling public accusation against Trump amid phony Nunes memo release,” at exactly the same time.
One Twitter user, @LoudaCristy, pointed to a suspicious-looking site called “LineJournal.org.”
That website published a pro-McCain article reporting on his criticism of Trump.
So did @milenbu and @DaryaBoyko4, as well as @petrina_liza.

Steve Hilton: Yes there is a Deep State -- and Tony Blair warned me about it
In the months before the British general election of 2010, one of my responsibilities as Conservative Party Leader David Cameron’s senior adviser was to help prepare for what we hoped would soon be our first days and months in government.
We put together detailed implementation plans for our key policy priorities, devised a system of progress reporting to keep everything on track, and discussed how to organize things at 10 Downing Street and across Whitehall (the United Kingdom’s equivalent of the federal government).
As part of that process I spoke to a wide range of people who had worked inside government in various roles, to get their insights and advice. That included – in a somewhat clandestine way, given the fact that he was once a political opponent – former Labour Party Prime Minister Tony Blair. It was a fascinating conversation. Whatever you might think of his record, there’s no question that Blair is an incredibly impressive political figure with enormous experience.

Nunes: Attacks From Left Over Memo 'Quite Enjoyable'
Doesn’t mind attacks because ‘we have the underlying facts,’ he says
California Rep. Devin Nunes said Friday that he relishes attacks from his Democratic counterparts and the mainstream media over his push to release a memo laying out FISA abuses at the FBI and Justice Department.
“It’s actually quite enjoyable because we have the underlying facts,” Nunes said in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

Breaking News: A House committee voted to release the Democratic rebuttal to the Nunes memo. President Trump has five days to decide to block it or not.
A decision from Mr. Trump to stop it could lead to an ugly standoff between the president, his top law enforcement and intelligence advisers and Democrats on Capitol Hill.
The GOP memo proves the ‘deep state’ is real
Now that we know what the declassified House memo says about government misconduct, we also know what it means: The Washington swamp — the deep state — is bigger, more vicious and more dangerous to American liberty than even a cynic could have imagined.
Because of the memo and previous revelations, we know that swamp creatures are embedded in the top of the FBI and the Department of Justice. Some used their power to try to tip a presidential campaign based on their personal politics.
They conducted a sham investigation of the Democratic candidate and misled federal judges to spy on at least one associate of her Republican challenger.
To block exposure of their misdeeds, these officials falsely claimed that national security would be damaged. Add that despicable lie — issued in the name of the FBI itself — to their shameful records.

Newt Gingrich: Here's my strategy for keeping a House Republican majority
On Wednesday, I was honored to speak at the Winter Meeting of the Republican National Committee about the how important and impactful the 2018 elections could be for America. Below is an excerpt of my remarks.
Let me thank all of you, particularly those I was just chatting with, for your generosity. I have been active in the Republican Party a fairly long time, longer than the younger people here have been alive. And I want to talk to you from the heart. When Ronna and I talked about coming by, I think it was precisely because I had enough distance to look at these things and to be involved on a number of occasions.
First of all, I thought last night’s State of the Union rivaled anything that Ronald Reagan did. It was just astonishingly effective. President Trump found specific individuals whose stories weren’t just important as wonderful human stories, but they each illustrated a part of the American tapestry in the American culture in a way that reminded all of us America is such a wonderful country. I thought it was a very powerful and very effective speech.
I also have to comment on Ronna and the financial report at the end of the year. She hit the ground running with a very simple model that said, “I’m going to work with the president. I’m going to help the president. How big of a check are you going to write?” And she must have repeated that a hundred thousand times over the past year, and she has been very, very effective.

Every corrupt politician now has a get-out-of-jail-free card
Will the courts ever again hold a corrupt political official to account? It appears unlikely, now that Sen. Bob Menendez has become the latest beneficiary of the US Supreme Court’s “get out of jail free” card.
In an abrupt reversal, the US Justice Department last week asked a federal judge to drop all remaining corruption charges against the Jersey Democrat.
This, after another judge dismissed seven of the 18 counts against Menendez and Dr. Salomon Melgen, saying: “There is no there there.”
And after the first trial ended with a hung jury.
Legal experts say prosecutors had little choice: Their case was almost entirely circumstantial, with no cooperating witness, no tape recordings and no videotapes.
The judge himself said prosecutors failed to produce any “facts, either direct or circumstantial,” to prove a quid pro quo: that Melgen lavished expensive gifts on the senator in exchange for political favors.

Trump: Memo 'totally vindicates' me in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation
President Trump said Saturday morning that the controversial House Intelligence Committee memo outlining alleged abuses of secret surveillance by the FBI and Justice Department "totally vindicates" him in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia inquiry.
"This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on," Trump tweeted about the memo he consented to have released Friday. "Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!"

The War To Prevent Southern Independence
This is the best work I have ever read on the War of 1861-present. I punctures the Great American Myth and topples Father Abraham from his throne in his Olympian Temple on the Mall. Wars are not fought over other peoples’ labour systems; they are fought over the control of other peoples’ resources. This is imperialism, and the rulers of imperial nations who wage these wars wage them for power and self-aggrandizement. Lincoln and his crony-capitalists cloaked their crime in robes of morality, and duped posterity with what Voltaire called “the propaganda of the victorious.”
The Confederacy had nothing to gain and everything to lose by inaugurating war against the industrializing colossus, but when Lincoln waged his war of invasion, conquest, and coerced political allegiance, he drove Virginia, “The Mother of States and Statesmen” – among others – out of the Union. When Virginia’s Governor Letcher received Lincoln’s call for troops to subjugate the “Cotton Kingdom” and bring it back under the heel of his “Mercantile Kingdom,” Letcher refused, and indicted Lincoln: “You have chosen to inaugurate civil war, and we will resist it with the same spirit you have exhibited towards the South.” The next day, Virginia seceded, and three years later Mr. Lincoln’s army burned down Governor Letcher’s house. Emancipation? Dr. Pace says that Union, forced by the bayonet, is slavery.

A male backlash against #MeToo is brewing
Men are scared, and feminists are delighted. But the urge to call out and punish male sexual transgression is bound to clash with an inescapable truth: We’re all in this together, men and women.
Consider what’s happening in the capital of Florida. Female staffers and lobbyists have found “many male legislators will no longer meet with them privately,” reported The Miami Herald. “I had a senator say, ‘I need my aide here in the room because I need a chaperone,’ ” lobbyist Jennifer Green told the paper. “I said, ‘Senator, why do you need a chaperone? . . . Do you feel uncomfortable around me?’ ‘Well,’ he said, ‘anyone can say anything with the door shut.’ ”
“I’m getting the feeling that we’re going back 20 years as female professionals,” said Green, who owns her company. “I fully anticipate I’m going to be competing with another firm that is currently owned by some male, and the deciding factor is going to be: ‘You don’t want to hire a female lobbying firm in this environment.’ ”

Budget Bill Should Require Clinton Special Investigation With Equal Resources
Choice must be taken away from corrupt DOJ in light of IG’s report and Nunes memo
What if the DOJ were forced to hire a real special counsel to investigate the Clintons? What if they had to give that investigator just as much time, money and other resources as Mueller has been getting for his Russia debacle, but to investigate Clinton, Wasserman-Schultz, emailgate, the DNC primary, pay-to-play at Hillary’s state department, etc.? And what if President Trump got final say over who that special counsel would be?
Congress could make that all happen. They could do it next week.

16 Bombshells in the Nunes Memo the Media Do Not Want You to Know About
In its partisan zeal to protect the ongoing witch hunt against President Trump, our Nixonian media went into hyper-drive last week to ensure that the unethical and un-American behavior of President Obama’s FBI and Justice Department remained covered up from the public.
After this cynical effort failed with the release of the Nunes memo Friday, the media quickly switched tactics and is now working feverishly to muddy the waters about the horror show revealed in the memo.
To begin with, it is obvious that a hysterical talking point about declaring the release of the memo a “Constitutional Crisis” has been spread far and wide… Naturally, the “constitutional crisis” in question is not the wrongdoing committed by federal law enforcement. Instead, because we are now deep within the head of the media’s fabricated reality where wrong is right and up is down, the “constitutional crisis” is that government wrongdoing was uncovered.
One way the media are hoping to shield the federal government from accountability for its indefensible lies, cover-ups, and civil rights violations is to muddy the waters; to distract us with nonsense so that we lose focus on the sins committed by an FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) that abused its power and public trust in unprecedented ways.
Here are 16 things the media do not want you to know about the Nunes memo:
1. The so-called Russian Dossier, the creation of Fusion GPS and former British spy Christopher Steele, is a political document — namely, opposition research, created for the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump shares WSJ op-ed which tears into FBI
President Donald Trump shared part of a Wall Street Journal op-ed that slammed the FBI over allegations made in the released memo.
Without directly linking to the article, Trump tweeted quotes on Saturday that called the memo, which alleges abuse of government surveillance powers by the Justice Department, 'disturbing'.
'"The four page memo released Friday reports the disturbing fact about how the FBI and FISA appear to have been used to influence the 2016 election and its aftermath....The FBI failed to inform the FISA court that the Clinton campaign had funded the dossier,' Trump tweeted first.
He then continued: 'The FBI became a tool of anti-Trump political actors. This is unacceptable in a democracy and ought to alarm anyone who wants the FBI to be a nonpartisan enforcer of the law....The FBI wasn't straight with Congress, as it hid most of these facts from investigators." Wall Street Journal.'
The tweets came after he claimed complete vindication from the memo that alleges the FBI abused its surveillance powers during the investigation into his campaign's possible Russia ties.

Pelosi: Nunes Memo Could Lead to 'Constitutional Crisis'
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi warned the release of a previously classified Republican memo that alleges abuse by the FBI and Justice Department could lead to a "constitutional crisis," CBS Chicago reported Friday.
"It's appalling. It's a misrepresentation. It isn't even a release of intelligence material. It's a release of a distortion of it. Its purpose is, of course, to thwart the Mueller investigation," Pelosi said Friday. "If the president uses this fake, horrible release of distorted intelligence as an excuse to fire [deputy attorney general Rod] Rosenstein or [special counsel Robert] Mueller, it could lead to a constitutional crisis."

Trump is right -- He and his campaign were victims of a political attack by the Justice Department and FBI
Whatever the media and Democratic detractors say, the memo released by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee Friday that revealed how the FBI and Justice Departments abused their powers to spy on the Trump presidential campaign is breathtaking.
This kind of thing should not happen in America. Average Americans have not heard the last of this. They were betrayed.
In sum, President Trump was right. As he said in tweet Saturday morning: “This memo totally vindicates ‘Trump’ in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on.”
It turns out the much-maligned chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., is one of the most daring whistleblowers in modern American history.
Nunes was right to be distressed at what he discovered. All Americans should be. Why Democrats on the Intelligence Committee do not share this distress is beyond understanding, except because of shortsighted maneuvering for political advantage.
The memo by Republicans on the committee summarizes raw intelligence confirming that formerly steady and professional staff of the Justice Department and FBI were motivated to act against candidate Trump by personal antipathy toward him, media-stoked fear of him, and perhaps personal loyalties to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. As a result, they traded their integrity for betrayal of democratic principles and our Constitution.

Disruption at home and abroad — follow the money: Part 1
How is it that highly organized protests against President Trump keep popping up across the country?
Follow the money.
Why is it that the traditional definition of marriage was suddenly discarded after years of citizens voting for it to be preserved?
Follow the money.
How are illegal immigrants organized so quickly and young voters corralled overnight to demand open borders? Where did the saturation of transgender and pansexual ideology come from? How is it possible that Black Lives Matter seems to be everywhere? Or that the call for pot legalization is sweeping the nation? Or that there is an international movement for globalization simultaneously occurring in countries around the world?

Larry Nassar gets a final sentence of 40 to 125 years in prison for molesting athletes
Sicko sports doctor Larry Nassar has received his third and final prison sentence.
The former USA Gymnastics doctor was handed down a 40- to 125-year sentence for sex abuse crimes Monday in Michigan by Judge Janice Cunningham.
“The defendant methodically planned and carried out years of molestation against children,” said Cunningham in her Eaton County courtroom. “The defendant also molested adults who trusted him.”
Shortly before the sentencing, Nassar, wearing an orange jumpsuit, said: “The words expressed by everyone that has spoken, including the parents, have impacted me to my innermost core.”
He added, “The visions of your testimonies will forever be present in my thoughts.”

Queen Anne's County-Arson Arrest-Castle Marina Road, Chester
Queen Anne's County, February 4, 2018, Two Queen Anne's county juveniles face arson and other related charges for their involvement in a fire that occurred on Friday, February 2nd at 5:28 PM. The fire which was reported by several neighbors occurred at 800 Castle Marina Road in Chester and brought out 25 firefighters from the Kent Island VFD and surrounding fire departments. It took the firefighters 2 hours to bring the blaze within the vacant two and a half story house under control. Deputy State Fire Marshals determined the house was owned by "K Hovnanian at Kent Island LLC" and was built in 1900. The estimated value of the home based on the square footage is $250,000.00.
Deputy State Fire Marshals determined the cause of the fire to be arson. They were later able to locate and interview two juveniles (ages 14 and 15) who confessed to pulling old Christmas trees into the house and intentionally setting them on fire with a lighter they had found. The juveniles then ran from the scene without reporting the fire.
Deputy State Fire Marshals will be forwarding charges of Arson 2nd Degree, Malicious Burning 1st Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, Burglary and Trespassing to the Department of Juvenile Services for formal court action. The home was considered a complete loss.

Steve King's Memo Warning: 'Watch Closely for Barack Obama's Fingerprints'
“Watch closely for Barack Obama’s fingerprints,” said Rep. Steve King (R-IA) on Saturday, suggesting the recent alleged partisan weaponization of state surveillance powers could be connected to the 44th president. “[Democrats and their allies] will defend Barack Obama at all costs, and they’ll defend Hillary Clinton almost at all costs unless they have to sacrifice her to protect Barack Obama,” he added.
King offered his remarks during an interview with Breitbart News’s Deputy Political Editor Amanda House on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday.
Against the backdrop of Friday’s released memo from the House Intelligence Committee (HIC), King called for further investigation into what role, if any, Obama and his cabinet officials played in procuring state surveillance of Carter Page and George Papadopoulos (two peripheral operatives of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign) via Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications submitted before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC).

Should You Stop Taking Ibuprofen?
Advil is America's No.1 selling over-the-counter pain reliever. Millions of us reach for a bottle to ease life's common aches and pains, such as headaches and overworked muscles, but should we?
Ibuprofen — the generic name for Advil and Motrin — is a popular over-the-counter painkiller (OTC) that belongs to a class of drugs known as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). It relieves pain, lowers fever, and reduces inflammation.
Ibuprofen has been used for more than 30 years, and until recently, it was considered safe. However, several studies have questioned that belief. The most recent findings, which were published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, discovered that ibuprofen can reduce fertility in men.
Male volunteers aged 18 to 35 took a daily dosage of 600 milligrams of ibuprofen twice a day — the maximum dosage listed on the label — or a placebo. Within fourteen days, the levels of testosterone in those taking ibuprofen dropped enough to cause a condition called "compensated hypogonadism," a disorder common in elderly men which is associated with reproductive disorders, as well as cardiovascular problems.
Although the researchers believe that the negative effects of ibuprofen on male fertility can be reversed in those who use it for only a short time, they are unsure if they are reversible in long-term users.
Other troubling research has recently emerged..

Gowdy Attacks Dems For Focusing On Whats Not The Memo Instead Of What Is
GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina dismissed Democrats’ criticisms of the recently released Republican memo detailing surveillance abuse within the FBI and Department of Justice, during an interview Sunday on “Face The Nation.”
“I get that Adam Schiff and others are worried about what’s not in my memo,” Gowdy said on “Face The Nation.” “I wish that they were equally concerned about what’s not in the FISA application”
Gowdy, who recently announced he will forego another term in favor of entering the private sector, downplayed the concerns of the FBI and Democratic lawmakers; namely that the memo – compiled by House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes – might compromise intelligence methods and sources.

CNN's Mudd: FBI People 'Ticked' About Memo; Are Saying About Trump 'Game Is Going to Be Played,' They're 'Going to Win'
Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” network counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd warned the FBI was going to push back against President Donald Trump’s release of the House Intelligence Committee memo and further suggestions of corruption existing within that agency.
Mudd noted the long-running operation of the FBI versus Trump’s 13 months as president and noted the FBI was vowing “to win.”
“The president is talking about basically corruption at the FBI today, but we oppose the leadership,” he said. “The workforce is going to look at this and say, this is an attack on our ability to conduct an investigation with integrity. There are hundreds of agents and analysts working on this investigation. It’s not just Christopher Wray, the FBI Director.”

The FISA Memo, Obama, And The Election that Almost Wasn't
“Round up the usual suspects,” will be as far as the Democrats will be willing to go in the wake of the FISA memo’s release. There is nothing in that memo that anyone following the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation doesn’t already know.
All the memo does is corroborate the bread crumbs left behind by a drip feed of leaks, counter-leaks and good ol’ fashioned investigative journalism. Since the memo is based on actual evidence that the FBI admits is real but will not allow us to see, the memo itself can be taken as fact.
The FBI has the evidence. They’ve showed it to the House Intelligence Committee. Both agree on the facts. So, by extension, the memo is all the evidence we need.
Put that in your DNC-scripted talking point pipe and blow it out your ass.

Former Judge: Ohr, Comey Could Be Held In Contempt Of Court For Misrepresentations Regarding Trump Surveillance
A FISA court judge has grounds to hold Department of Justice officials including Bruce Ohr in contempt of court for making misrepresentations about the sources of information used to obtain a surveillance warrant against a Trump associate, a former judge and Republican congressman said.
“I think it’s important to know who the FISA judge was, and why with all the info he’s had for some time, he has not put anyone in jail for committing fraud on his court,” Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican who serves on the Committee on the Judiciary, told The Daily Caller News Foundation Friday.
“You shouldn’t be able to get quotes from Bruce Ohr or [former FBI Director Jim] Comey or [deputy director Andrew] McCabe because they ought to be sitting in jail for committing fraud upon the court,” he said.

Trump’s shot heard round the civil-service world
Calls for agency authority to 'remove federal employees who undermine the public trust'
Pencil pushers. Desk jockeys. There are a lot of names for the bureaucrats who fill the offices of the federal government.
President Trump says they, and their work, need to be examined more closely.
He fired a major shot in the effort to enact civil service reform during his State of the Union address, creating what one leading workforce expert hopes will be an effort to root out the “intransigence and incompetence” from the federal workforce.
In his speech, Trump hailed the passage of legislation in 2017 that gave more authority for Veterans Affairs Secretary Dr. David Shulkin to fire people failing to perform at levels needed to provide veterans the service they deserve. He then said that flexibility should be available to all cabinet secretaries.
“Tonight, I call on Congress to empower every cabinet secretary with the authority to reward good workers and to remove federal employees who undermine the public trust or fail the American people,” said Trump.

Wife of ex-NFL player Rob Kelly describes his brain damage
The wife of a former NFL player has published a heart-wrenching account of her husband's cognitive decline after a career in tackle football.
Emily Kelly's article about her husband Rob, published in the New York Times on Friday just two days before the Super Bowl, is hardly the first mention of a football player developing neurological problems.
However, it is one of the most excruciatingly detailed accounts of the day-to-day hardships many of these players now live with - something that research is increasingly attributing to repetitive sub-concussive hits to the head over years.
Rob Kelly, now 43, played four seasons as a safety with the New Orleans Saints and one with the Patriots before he was forced into early retirement in 2002 due to nerve damage between his neck and his shoulder at just 28 years old.
But since 2007, when he met Emily, he transformed from a 'tenderhearted' husband and an 'amazing father' into an argumentative, paranoid and suicidal 'ghost', despite no conclusive brain injury diagnosis.

Employees Reveal ‘Nightmare’ at Popular Store
Employees at Whole Foods Market say the company’s new policies have thrown their workday into chaos, with one supervisor saying it’s not uncommon to see stressed-out employees crying on the job.
Workers for the Austin, Texas-based supermarket chain tell Business Insider that the store’s new “order-to-shelf” inventory system has been taking a toll on the staff since the guidelines were implemented last year.
“I wake up in the middle of the night from nightmares about maps and inventory,” said one Whole Foods employee who spoke with Business Insider. “The stress has created such a tense working environment. Seeing someone cry at work is becoming normal.”
Under the new procedure, store managers and employees are instructed to display the store’s inventory mostly on its shelves, rather than hold a larger inventory in a back room and constantly restock — a practice that leads to stores “constantly running out of products,” according to one employee.
Making matters worse are the new "scorecards" that managers are expected to grade their employees with. According to Business Insider, these scorecards record how an employee stocked a certain shelf, or managed the storage area for their department. Supervisors are also expected to quiz employees on the best-selling items or sales goals for that particular week, and deduct points for unsatisfactory results, if necessary.
