A suspect is dead and there were multiple other fatalities after a "mass shooting" on Sunday in downtown Jacksonville, Fla., at a popular area filled with bars and restaurants, police said.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said there were "multiple fatalities" from the mass shooting at Jacksonville Landing and many people were transported to the hospital.
"One suspect is dead at the scene, unknown at this time if we have a second suspect. Searches are being conducted," Jacksonville Sheriff's Office tweeted.
Police did not provide further information, but said they "can’t stress enough to stay away. Many blocks away," adding that "If you are hiding in The Landing. Call 911 so we can get to you."

ReplyDeleteSo, my hunch is that, someone was losing and could not handle it. Sad, that our children do not know how to lose, or lose gracefully. They can't take criticism, being called a name, being last on a list, being told they are wrong, etc...I see it on fields, school and even young adults at a work place..
Sorry for the lost lives however, mental health may not be the issue in the case, parenting may...
More people have been shot in Chicago since Friday, as of noon today. 2 weeks ago 74 people were shot, about13 killed from Friday to Sunday evening in Chicago. Where's the News coverage, the uproar?????.

Eventually it will be determined but by then the news cycle will have moved on.
Condolences to families of deceased victims, and best wishes for complete, speedy recovery to those injured.

This is the most ridiculous statement on the internet today. No not ALL young white males need to have mental health evaluations. These mass killings while very bad pale in comparison to what is going on in the inner cites. 1000's of murders a year in them and 10's of 1000's of non fatal shootings. Are you starting to see how ignorant you sound? If anything parents need to become parents and start taking charge of their children and stop ignoring warning signs. Same with the schools who because of obama era policies allow dangerous and violent students to avoid any punishment or mental health treatment. As far as inner city parents-they mostly are lost causees. They know how to make them babies but when it comes to being parents animals do a much better job.

I guess that loser was over shadowed by all the black on black murders in Baltimore so he had to go all the way to Jacksonville to kill people. It isn't the fault of the gun. Society is breaking down. Mostly due to the over reaching State and Federal government.
