I can't think of anything more spiteful or "mean-spirited" than the exclusion of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin from the funeral of the late Sen. John McCain.
According to Breitbart News, not only was she not asked to come to any of the numerous McCain events where she could have been present, but she was actually asked to stay away.
Who the hell did that?
Since the Breitbart report, the McCain camp has backtracked a bit and now says Sarah would not be bounced by the security guard at the door if she actually came. According to People Magazine, the exclusion of this woman, who was so significant in the career of John McCain, was the decision of Cindy McCain, not John McCain. But its sourcing was anonymous, and that sounds like a possible attempt to paper over a public relations disaster, which would tell us that that is what it is, a black mark on McCain, who, up until now, has been drawing a lot of praise.
What supports this theory is that the New York Times reported earlier that McCain planned every aspect of his funeral beforehand, every single aspect, every detail, meticulously excluding President Trump and featuring his opponents for effect, all of whom would praise "civility" in contrast to Trump. The Times didn't get around to asking about Palin, but something tells me this Palin exclusion was McCain's doing and the family wanted to honor it, so they're letting Cindy take the flak. Sarah Palin is the only one who really knows, and she's not saying.

It was very mean spirited. I think the former governor was the only one who didn't know McCain wasn't supposed to win the election. Also I think Cindy was jealous!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know you needed an invitation to attend a funeral. Suppose you get one & do not wish to attend?
ehhhh... Death is strange for each/everyone. There are still fam/adopted fam involved with the McCains and feelings are running very high. Sometimes someone gets their feelings hurt for something they think is important. Just let it go.
ReplyDeleteBrain Cancer, remember? He had already lost it and had gone nuts. Too bad. He once had great potential like Reagan but, once the mind goes, there is no more good history, only words by others....
ReplyDeleteReally ! After all she made Trump possible .
ReplyDeleteShe's not saying because she's classier than they are.
ReplyDeleteScrew John McCain. He's in HELL where he belongs. If it weren't for Sarah Palin. This POS WOULDN'T had a chance of winning. He ran a failed campaign. He had a failed military career. He had a failed Congressional career. And in the end he showed everyone just who he was. A SWAMP CREATURE OF ELITES WHOM THINK OF NOTHING BUT THEMSELVES. Not the people they sworn an oath too. Just another selfish. SPOON fed. Rich boy. Everything he touched turned to crap. What did he expect?? When your handed everything in life you don't appreciate it. He knew whatever he did. He wouldn't have to face consequences. But now you POS. Your facing your maker. Consequences is all you deserve.
ReplyDeleteIt's an honor to have been excluded from that circus they called a funeral. The Swamp was in full view. The fake tears from the daughter were funny though.
ReplyDeleteThat funeral was composed of the SWAMP People, Elitists, New World Order/One World Government types, and Many Traitors; including McCain...Good people and Patriots weren't invited. The token was V.P. Pence.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't a funeral. It was a bash President Trump rally. Like I said elsewhere I was expecting to see Stormy Daniels jump out of a cake at the end. What an undignified circus and that daughter only proved that old man was jealous, bitter, hateful. and he's far far far from a hero. Just because he was a POW that doesn't make him a hero. Character makes people a hero and he had none.
ReplyDeleteJust another point to show McCain's hateful attitude towards people of his own Party. McCain was the reason he lost the Presidential race. McCain and his ignorant campaign would not let Palin do the job she was supposed to do. McCain tne loser.
ReplyDeleteSome people blamed Sarah for John losing the election. She had the best of intentions, but I personally though she was a poor choice.
ReplyDeleteShe’s a has been and a weak moment in his political career that cost him an election.
ReplyDeletePalin....still today talks him down. There is no need for that at a quiet ceremony. I see Trumps daughter was there and was very lady like. People know who you can invite to what based on their previous behavior.
ReplyDeleteAll the speakers at his funeral kept repeating how McCain was known for 'reaching across the isle' but then blacklists people at his funeral. Two faced even in death...
ReplyDeleteI never liked John McCain. His Poster Boy POW image he took to the heights which NO POLITICIAN should do. Granted, he served time in a Viet Nam POW camp, but he used that ploy and cashed-in like none other in our nation. How about the other 2400 unaccounted for American POWS - some of which might still be incarcerated as prisoners of war.
ReplyDeleteJohn McCain was also two-faced on many fronts. Nope, I never liked him and could see right through him.
Ditto 7;41
ReplyDelete8:51 ; 8:52.... you should have read "Going Rouge" by Governor Palin. If the old dude had turned her loose he would have won the presidency. She was the only thing that kept his campaign going.
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe her in what she wrote. Unlike the old dude, she had morals and character.
Trump was suggested as a VP for McCain during a function after he had thrown his hat in the ring, but he chuckled & mumbled something under his breath.Little did he know that Trump would have been the most powerful VP in history.
ReplyDeleteAnnouncement maybe, but I have never heard of a funeral invitation. But I am just a minion compared to the ones we pay their salary and give them the opportunity to steal even more. I am getting some years on me so I had better start my list of friends I want to be black balled. There are lots and lots of them. Going to be a very small spread catered afterwards.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is a tremendous patriot. A very strong and religious woman, a threat to many, men included. She personifies strength, wisdom and leadership characteristics that were sorely lacking in the content of John McCaiin's character, as is so clearly being demonstrated by the performance, based on his instructions for his memorial and funeral services. Excluding his service to our Nation, nothing more can nor needs to be said in that regard.
ReplyDeleteThe enthusiasm and support that was manifest in his campaign, could almost 100% be attributed to Palin. And in the minds of many, that is the absolute truth!
