  2. Doing nothing but teaching these children it is okay to be nothing more then a slave just like their parents and their parents and back going many generations now. All children should have the opportunity because their parents can provide for them without handouts, to pick a store of their choosing and going to buy the backpack they want. This is disgusting and it's no wonder these people are nothing but slaves to the system. If their families had an ounce of moral blood in their veins they would be ashamed of how low they have sunk.

  3. Their parents don't know how to feed them, so now the children will not learn how to feed themselves either. Nice.

Every charity that has a no-strings attached food giveaway program should be stopped until they can demonstrate that each person receiving a handout actually has no other way to get a meal.

These do-gooders are just making the next generation even dumber than their parents.

  4. It's for the ked's.
The ked's must have parents or they would not have been born.
How many government event's does it take to feed the little guy when the parent's are just birthing machines? Where does it end. I'm a farmer and willing to give many some work for compensation. Still it is difficult to find any takers.

  5. I am not much on "Day" either. But this is not his problem.
Everyone wants to blame the Government, The blame is the Parents.

  6. Am I missing something here? These students are doing something good and getting some credit for it.
It sure beats seeing their names in the local police roundup at the 'zoo'.
It is not the fault of these kids that have nothing and it's great that SU is exposing some (possibly privileged) future school teachers to a different culture BEFORE they become school teachers themselves.
I used to coach at the Salvation Army and my own kids learned how lucky they were when exposed to other kids that were not.
It helps create morals and humility.
Try it sometime instead of criticizing others for helping out.

  7. It looks like some of these kids are going to have back problems when they are older. Some of the back packs look like they are too heavy for them to be carrying around.

  8. 1207 - we blame the government UNTIL we need them! Absolutely correct - the blame game winner IS the parents!

  9. They made sure a few white kids were prominently featured in the group.

  10. If there is any money left over after the tattoos, makeup, weed, wine and hair dresser then maybe we can buy some food. Got that chillin?

  11. Keeping them poor intentionally and blaming it on racism and then showing up with crumbs and telling them they are their savior.

  12. They get food stamps so they are able to feed themselves. Complete BS.

  13. 1:35 Who keeps anyone poor intentionally??? And who was trying to claim they were the savior??
These college kids were helping out someone else. To me that's admirable not admonish-able.
WWJD? Yeah, he would do the same. God is looking down on these young ladies and smiling today. Is he doing the same to you?

  15. 12:38... you must be missing something. Maybe read the comments again and you will catch on eventually. It is not everybody's responsibility to support deadbeat parents. I don't have a problem helping when it is needed, but show you are in need. Today people walk up with a hand out waiting for someone to throw them a bone.

  16. To me this is sad. I applaud the kind hearts of the college students, but what speaks volumes to me is that we haven’t done what it takes to attract employers who pay a living wage, to offer local people skill training to compete for good jobs and create an ecosystem where success is possible. Mayor Day and the rest of you, stop worrying about the next photo op or your electability in the next cycle and use our local assets (airport, colleges, etc. ) and people like me who would love to have a great local job to bring employers who can pay us well enough to live. I can pass a drug test, I am smart, but I can’t support my family on the wages that box stores and other chains pay.

    1. Children and no job really. Time for you to move to a State with good paying jobs. Social services can help.

  17. So white male SU students were not allowed to participate? Typical. My skin is my sin 2018.

  18. Sad that so many people blame the working poor and non whites. This area is economically depressed due to the locals running almost every employer from the area and complaining that there are no jobs. There are more white families living below the poverty level and collecting benefits than non white families. It is easy to point the finger at others.

  19. if they are doing this out of kindness of their hearts .. why do they need the media to advertise this good deed? hmm sounds like propaganda to me... political bs to get attention to their good deed. They got this food from local food banks so why not leave it at the food banks and let the parents that cant afford to feed their kids go get it themselves.. they didnt buy the food they got it from food banks so it wasnt their kindness after all.. typical democrat spending other peoples money and claiming to do a good deed.

  23. @3:06am. Oh really? And just where is your proof? Ever been at the local welfare office? Maybe just stand outside the door that goes into their office and listen to the people coming out bragging about getting theirs. Way more blacks coming out that door than anyone else.
