Ohio Sheriff Offers Free Gun Training To 50 Teachers; Forced To Cap At 300 After Huge Response

“We put it online, we thought we’d get 20 school teachers maybe. Within 20 minutes we had 40. Within an hour we had 100. Within four hours we had 200. By the next morning, at 300, we cut it off.”

An Ohio sheriff who offered free firearms training to 50 teachers was forced to cap his offer at 300, after a flood of local school employees signed up in the wake of a Florida high school shooting that left 17 people dead.

“We put it online, we thought we’d get 20 school teachers maybe. Within 20 minutes we had 40. Within an hour we had 100. Within four hours we had 200. By the next morning, at 300, we cut it off,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said on “Fox & Friends.”

  1. Wow, this is the response of Heartland America AND Donald Trump. This will be why there will no longer be any school shootings in Butler County, Ohio. This should become a Nationwide policy!

  2. I teach in Wicomico County. I know of a very select few teachers that should be able to have weapons at their disposal. Hell, most of them are libtard's and shouldn't be allowed to vote.

  3. Those who are hollering teachers want to teach and not be armed are best served to keep their mouths shut as this is not true. Just more democrats lying and how there is no end to their lies. This as well as the post below proves how far the democrats will go with their constant lying. Some schools have been arming teachers for over 15 years. That is FIFTEEN YEARS. Arming teachers is not a new concept thought up by President Trump.
What is amazing are the number of teachers who do not know teachers have been armed for years. This is what is teaching the children. Clueless wonders.

  4. 7:48, I think if Mike Lewis made that offer, you would choke on what you just said!

  5. You fight force with force, you don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Look at history, the better prepared army wins the war. Leaving schools or any other establishment with a sign that says "gun free zone" is an open invitation to attack.

  6. The teachers can't control the older students now. Most teachers around here would end up having their gun taken away from the by some young buck.
