MSNBC Panel Calls Hillary's Excuses 'Pathetic'

MSNBC's Morning Joe panel was not impressed with Hillary Clinton's excuse making regarding her 2016 election loss. They called it "pathetic," and blamed her lack of a real message and a misplaced campaign focus for her failure. Joe Scarborough said, "It was a horrific campaign." They even said that this has made them lose respect for Clinton as a person.

Pelosi Blames Clinton's Loss on Party's Hardline Abortion Stance

The House Democratic leader glosses over her own role in killing off pro-life Democrats.

Amid a tense Democratic debate over whether pro-lifers have any place inside the party, Nancy Pelosi delivered a blunt message to her fellow Democrats: Trump won because of the party's rigid stance on abortion and other social issues.

"You know what? That's why Donald Trump is president of the United States—the evangelicals and the Catholics, anti-marriage equality, anti-choice. That's how he got to be president," Pelosi told the Washington Post. "Everything was trumped, literally and figuratively by that."

Indeed, the Democrats' declining performance solely among evangelicals between 2012 and 2016 was enough to cost Hillary Clinton the election, as Ramesh Ponnuru wrote at National Review in December.

President Trump Responds To Hillary Clinton's Blame-mongering

Following Hillary Clinton's earlier proclamation that she "was on the way to winning before Jim Comey's letter and 'Russian' Wikileaks... scared off late voters," it appears President Trump has his own perspective on how he won the greatest upset election in US history...

Leftist's T-Shirt at May Day Rally Shows ISIS Beheading Donald Trump

"Decapitate the Don"

It’s May Day – and that means leftists are out on the street all across America throwing yet another collective temper tantrum.

Celebrating Communism – an ideology that led to the deaths of almost 100 million people in the 20th century – just isn’t as much fun if you don’t dress the part.

Project Veritas’ Laura Loomer snapped this guy getting in the mood at a rally in New York by wearing a t-shirt that depicts an ISIS terrorist beheading President Donald Trump next to the words “BEHEAD THE BRO,” and “DECAPITATE THE DON”.

In the Elusive Search for Affordable Housing, Clues Emerge

In the Elusive Search for Affordable Housing, Clues Emerge Economists, sociologists and political scientists have recently identified single-family zoning as a major obstacle to building more of it. Could that change soon?

Los Angeles has some of the most expensive housing in the United States. The median price of a new home in the city is more than nine times median household income. That makes L.A. one of the 10 least affordable markets for homeowners in the world, let alone the nation. Renters are no better off. In 2015, the average rent in L.A. was $1,390 a unit, more than twice the national average.

Not surprisingly, many Angelenos are fed up. City officials have tried to address the price squeeze by encouraging high-density housing in areas served by mass transit. To promote it, the city council has routinely granted exemptions to the outdated L.A. zoning code. That, in turn, has led to new high-rise developments in the South Park area of downtown, along the Sunset Strip and in Leimert Park, a historic African-American neighborhood in south Los Angeles. It’s not nearly enough. A 2015 report by the state’s Legislative Analyst’s Office concluded that coastal California would need to nearly double the rate of new housing construction to produce enough supply to bring prices down.

Even so, the new developments have stirred up a fierce backlash from homeowners who think it has disrupted existing neighborhoods and intensified traffic congestion. Those resentments produced Measure S, a drastic ballot proposition that would have essentially blocked large-scale development in the city for the next two years. The voters didn’t go along -- Measure S was decisively defeated in a March referendum. In its wake, the affordability problem persists. In fact, it is getting worse.

The Establishment Republican Spending Epidemic

Congressional negotiators in Washington reached a deal to fund the federal government through September, and it must pass by Friday to prevent a shutdown. Not that it’s surprising, but the spending bill is not at all conservative — in fact it resembles something Democrats would have sent to Barack Obama, who would have been delighted to sign it. To be sure, this spending bill is causing grassroots conservatives to wonder what it’s going to take to win real spending reform in the Swamp.

Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi hailed the bill as a victory for Democrats. “Overwhelmingly, we were very pleased with the outcome — issue after issue,” boasted Schumer during his victory lap. “I would not say there’s a major loss in here.” And he has a legitimate point.

The legislation does not provide any further funding for a border fence along our southern border with Mexico. It does not eliminate money from “sanctuary cities” that fail to comply with federal immigration law. It does not cut funding at all for Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills. In addition, the deal cuts only 1% of the EPA’s budget and actually increases clean energy and science funding for the agency.

Sure, Republicans were able to increase defense spending by $15 billion, but Donald Trump had requested $30 billion. Republicans were also able to squeeze in $1.5 billion in funding for border security, yet none of that funding is usable for building a border fence or adding additional Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Dr. Andy Harris Votes in Favor of American Health Care Act

WASHINGTON, DC: On May 4, Dr. Andy Harris (MD-01) voted in favor of the H.R. 1628, the American Health Care Act (AHCA). The bill was passed by the House of Representatives by a vote of 217-213. Dr. Harris released the following statement following the passage of the bill:

“The Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) has resulted in skyrocketing health insurance prices, a diminishing choice of providers, and in some areas a dwindling to no choice of health insurance plans. That is why I voted in favor of legislation that will immediately lower premiums and begin to fix our broken health insurance system.

Unfortunately, there has been significant misinformation about this bill. So I want to be clear that the AHCA explicitly maintains, and even adds, protections for pre-existing conditions. The bill makes clear that under no circumstance can people be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Guaranteed issue of coverage, guaranteed renewability of coverage, and the prohibition on insurance companies denying coverage due to a pre-existing condition are all maintained. The bill does not change Medicare benefits or impact the Medicare drug benefit.

The bill will permit states a limited waiver for using health status to adjust costs for some customers if, and only if, a high risk pool, risk sharing, or reinsurance mechanism is instituted to ensure affordable coverage. This is exactly what Maryland did prior to the ACA through the Maryland Health Insurance Program – a program that successfully ensured affordable coverage and benefits for people with medical conditions, while lowering premium costs in the regular health insurance market.

This week, the Maryland Insurance Administration announced that the state’s largest Obamacare insurer is seeking a 53-62% increase to premiums for their silver level health insurance plan—the state’s most popular insurance plan. Since 2014, Marylanders have seen unsustainable and skyrocketing premiums, and some rates will have more than tripled. As Obamacare fails, insurers are leaving the market, and consumers are left with few options for affordable coverage. On the Eastern Shore, there are currently only two insurance options available, and there is no HMO insurance plan available.

I voted in favor of the American Health Care Act today to strengthen health insurance coverage for every person in Maryland’s First Congressional District, while lowering their health insurance costs.”

Bill allowing adoption agencies to turn away gay couples signed into law

The House of Representatives last week gave final approval to the bill by a vote of 87-0, with six abstentions, concurring with a change the Senate made when it approved the bill.

Debbie: Obama’s $400k speech fees ‘none of your business’

Debbie Wasserman Schultz created a new standard for public debate that will undoubtedly only apply to liberals: If it happens in the private sector, it stays in the private sector.

The former chair of the DNC bristled on CNN Tuesday at a line of questioning over the appropriateness and hypocrisy of Barack Obama, a tough talker on Wall Street, recently accepting $400,000 for a speech to Wall Street.

She shook her head as host Erin Burnett played clips of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren publicly criticizing Obama’s decision.

Schultz responded, “Look it is none of anyone’s business what someone who is a member of the private sector decides to accept as compensation.

“With all due respect to anyone who chooses to comment publicly on what Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or anyone earns as a member of the private sector, it’s just like NYOB! It’s none of your business.”

When will Gov. Larry Hogan sign paid sick leave legislation?

BALTIMORE —The clock is ticking for Gov. Larry Hogan to make a decision regarding paid sick leave legislation.

The General Assembly passed the bill which requires companies with 15 or more employees to provide five paid sick days. Supporters of the measure are calling on the governor to make a move.

The bill will become law. It's just a matter of when. Either Hogan could sign it or let it become law without his signature. Since the measure passed by a veto proof margin, if he veto's it the general assembly will override it next session.

The hard fought five-year legislative battle to put earned paid sick leave legislation on the Hogan's desk is in limbo.

Initially, opposed to the Democrats bill on an issue he supports.

US Commandos Set to Counter North Korean Nuclear Sites

U.S. special operations forces are set to conduct operations against North Korean nuclear, missile, and other weapons of mass destruction sites in any future conflict, the commander of Special Operations Command told Congress Tuesday.

Army Gen. Raymond A. Thomas stated in testimony to a House subcommittee that Army, Navy, and Air Force commandos are based both permanently and in rotations on the Korean peninsula in case conflict breaks out.

The special operations training and preparation is a warfighting priority, Thomas said in prepared testimony. There are currently around 8,000 special operations troops deployed in more than 80 countries.

"We are actively pursuing a training path to ensure readiness for the entire range of contingency operations in which [special operations forces], to include our exquisite [countering weapons of mass destruction] capabilities, may play a critical role," he told the subcommittee on emerging threats.

Non-opioid drug available for some surgical procedures

BALTIMORE —Anyone considering surgery will probably need pain management, and opioids can be effective. But in the midst of an opioid addiction epidemic, it's not surprising that some patients are leery about taking them.

But there might be another option for some patients: a non-narcotic drug being used to curb pain during and after surgery.

Patricia DeRosa is fully recovered from surgery to remove most of her colon last December. She works at a pharmacy and knows all too well the stories of opioid addiction, but her doctor was able to operate without using one.

"It worked very well, and I didn't have any pain medicine other than Tylenol in the hospital, and then they stopped that," DeRosa said.

Maryland State Police Participates In The National Take Back Initiative 13

Each barrack across the state played a pivotal role in the approach of enforcement, education and treatment. Maryland State Police efforts in the drug take back initiative this past weekend yielded 2,669.15 pounds of unwanted prescription medications, which is a 533.88 pound increase since the last take back initiative this time last year. Maryland State Police would like to thank everyone who contributed to the fight against the opioid epidemic by discarding their unwanted prescription medication properly to ensure the medications stayed off the streets.

DEBT INSANITY: DOES ANYONE IN WASHINGTON EVEN CARE THAT WE ARE 20 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT?

There has been a tremendous amount of talk about the spending deal that was just reached in Congress

There has been a tremendous amount of talk about the spending deal that was just reached in Congress.

Most of the focus has been on who “won” and who “lost” politically, and if you have been keeping up with my articles you definitely know my opinion on the matter. But what nobody is really talking about is that this deal actually increases spending at a time when our debt has been absolutely exploding. We added more than a trillion dollars a year to the U.S. national debt during Obama’s eight years in the White House, and our debt binge actually accelerated toward the end of his second term. In fact, the national debt increased by more than 1.4 trillion dollars during fiscal 2016

In fiscal 2016, which ended on Friday, the federal debt increased $1,422,827,047,452.46, according to data released today by the U.S. Treasury.

At the close of business on Sept. 30, 2015, the last day of fiscal 2015, the federal debt was $18,150,617,666,484.33, according to the Treasury. By the close of business on Sept. 30, 2016, the last day of fiscal 2016, it had climbed to $19,573,444,713,936.79.

Since we are already in so much debt, we might as well shoot for the moon, right?

This new spending deal increases spending in a whole bunch of different ways, but it doesn’t do anything to raise more revenue.

TRUMP GOES AFTER FBI CHIEF COMEY ON EVE OF SENATE TESTIMONY

President says Comey 'best thing that ever happened' to Hillary Clinton

President Trump criticized James Comey on Tuesday night, just hours before the FBI director testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Trump accused Comey of giving Hillary Clinton a “free pass” in the investigation into whether she mishandled classified information on her private email server.
It is unclear what exactly prompted Trump’s outburst, though it was likely a response to an interview Clinton gave earlier in the day in which she blamed several factors, including Russia, misogyny and Comey, for her November election loss to Trump.

Clinton blasted Comey for re-opening the FBI’s investigation into her emails in late October, just before the election.

Limbaugh to Pence: ‘What Is the Point of Voting Republican If the Democrats Are Going to Continue to Win?’

Tuesday on his nationally syndicated radio program, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh interviewed Vice President Mike Pence about the spending bill expected to be passed by Congress and sent to President Donald Trump to be signed into law.

Some Democrats are declaring it to be a victory given the bill does not fund Trump’s proposed border wall and that it does not defund Planned Parenthood.

Limbaugh asked the vice president what the “point” was of voting for Republicans if they were going to continue to give Democrats victories.

Mosby Asks Prosecutors To Exercise Discretion In Cases Involving Immigrants

State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby is making public her instruction that prosecutors exercise discretion in handling minor crimes involving immigrant victims, witnesses and defendants.

“As the current administration in Washington continues to increase its efforts to enforce immigration laws, we as prosecutors are the torch-bearers of justice in this city, thereby we must utilize our prosecutorial discretion as we do in every case by considering the unintended collateral consequences that our decisions have on our immigrant population,” Mosby said in a statement released by her office.

It confirms an earlier Baltimore Sun report that her office was looking to mitigate the impacts of ratcheted-up efforts by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to start deportation proceedings against people who were convicted, in some cases, of minor offenses. Prosecutors note that similar practices are in place elsewhere, like in Brooklyn, New York as The New York Times reports.

Ocean City’s ‘Double-Donation’ Policy With Nonprofits Questioned

OCEAN CITY — Ocean City’s future donations to nonprofit organizations and programs also supported by Worcester County government were called into question this week during a first-reading of the proposed fiscal year 2018 budget.

The Mayor and Council on Monday approved on first reading the proposed fiscal year 2018 budget, but not before a larger debate about the town’s continued supplemental contributions to various non-profit organizations and charities that support both Worcester County and Ocean City. At the close of budget work sessions two weeks ago, the Mayor and Council considered, and ultimately approved in most cases, requests for special appropriations from various nonprofits including, Diakonia, Worcester Youth and Family Counseling, Wor-Wic Community College and the Cricket Center, just to name a few.

On Monday, however, Councilman Wayne Hartman brought up the issue of what he characterized as double-donations, pointing out many of the organizations on the request list for supplemental donations are already supported by Worcester County. Hartman pointed out around 54 percent of Worcester County’s operating budget is derived from the property tax contribution from Ocean City, essentially meaning the resort’s taxpayers have already significantly contributed to the non-profits even before supplemental contributions are added in the budget.

Family Blames Cops When Girls Die Stealing Car, Then 1 Officer Issues Epic Response

Three teenage girls died in the middle of committing a crime. Their deaths were a result of their own reckless behavior… but now the family want to blame the police for their deaths.

For example, This is an important story to look at again even though it happened last year. Laniya Miller, 15, Ashaunti Butler, 15, and Dominique Battle, 16 were in St. Petersburg, Florida when they stole a car. In their attempt to flee from the cops, they wrecked into a pond, killing each of them.

It all began when they asked a 36-year-old man for a ride, but when he stopped at a local Walmart before dropping the girls off at their destination, these thugs decided to steal the man’s car. The car owner reported the vehicle stolen and police officers from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office located the group of girls down the road, and police officers began following them.

They teen driver made her fatal decision and didn’t slow down going around a sharp curve. The car flew off the road and submerge 15 feet underwater.

Police officers on the scene evaluated the situation and determined that the conditions were too dangerous to put more people at risk when the chances of saving the girls at that point were slim.
Now, relatives of the deceased criminals have reportedly been outraged at the police and have even blamed the officers for the girls’ deaths because they didn’t do enough to save them.

Hogan strategy on Trump budget cuts works — Let Congress do its job

By Len Lazarick
Len@MarylandReporter.com

Gov. Larry Hogan’s strategy on President Trump’s budget apparently worked: Shut up and let the Maryland’s members of Congress do their job.

Democratic officials and party leaders had demanded the Republican governor stand up to Trump and resist plans to cut funding for Chesapeake Bay cleanup, medical research at the National Institutes of Health, and funding for the Affordable Care Act.

Hogan said it was up to Congress to act on the president’s budget, and a spokesman said the governor would act if and when the cuts actually happened.

Hogan also met privately with the members of the Maryland congressional delegation to list his priorities, and went to Washington to lobby Trump cabinet secretaries.

Today's Liberal Media

A little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?'

The biker replies "I'm a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I'm voted for Trump".

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

** U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH. **

And THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these day's.

A message from UofSC President Harris Pastides

Dear Parents,

University of South Carolina President Harris Pastides sent the following letter to students this afternoon, and we wanted to share it with you.

Office of Parents Programs

May 1, 2017

Dear Students,

In just a few days I will enthusiastically, and with great affection, salute 6,939 University of South Carolina graduates. While my hand will be "aching from the shaking," my heart will be full as I send our seniors on their way, confident that they are well-prepared for their bright futures. For you who will be returning, I hope you can use graduation time as a period for reflection so you can be well prepared for your return as an older student.

"Older and wiser" is a saying we often hear and it's true. I want you to feel confident in your growing wisdom and start to be less dependent on the views of others in making your choices. More than anything else, being a responsible adult is about using your own judgment to make decisions. Frankly, it's easier and more comfortable to rely on others to make your important decisions but I plan on telling our graduates this weekend that they are ready to use their own judgment as the basis for where their lives take them. You are acquiring a great education regardless of your major, because of our Carolina Core, and you are growing older and wiser while at college. Use your growing wisdom to make you even more confident in your judgment. If you must take in messaging from social media, blogs and other "new voices" let them be a background to what you know is best and true. Don't let these voices be your guide. The only original ideas you will ever have are your own.

I don't want to contradict what I just said but I do want to acknowledge that the wisdom that comes from age, experience and education can also be limiting. It can dampen one's "childlike" belief that dreams can come true or that you can conquer the seemingly impossible. For example, after our men's basketball team defeated Duke to make it to the Sweet Sixteen, I was deliriously happy while congratulating the players and coaches in their locker room. I was so grateful and fulfilled. I knew that the road to the Final Four was daunting so I almost said, "If you never win another game, I'll still be so happy." That would have been my wisdom sticking my foot in my mouth! Because as I looked in their eyes and heard their chants, it was clear that they were saying to me, "We plan on going all the way!" I think that this belief is a key reason why we left Madison Square Garden as champions.

What an incredible year we've had. You have worked hard, played hard, cheered hard, served our community, learned much and accomplished remarkable things. Not even Hurricane Matthew and the torrential rains of August and October could dampen our spirits long term.

Before you head out of town, stroll over to the Horseshoe and take out your earbuds. Notice the amazing, majestic trees -- some of which have been there for over 100 years. Pick one out and look at it in great detail. When you return next August (or graduates when you return for Homecoming), go directly to it and look at it again carefully. I bet you won't see much difference; but you can bet that the tree has changed. It will be older and, hopefully, stronger...just like you will have changed when you return, not visibly, but you will also be older and wiser. I can't wait to see you again. Forever to thee!

The Veterinarian

One Sunday, in counting the money in the weekly offering, the pastor of a small church found a pink envelope containing $1,000

The following Sunday, he watched as the offering was collected and saw an elderly woman put the distinctive pink envelope on the plate.

"Ma'am, I couldn't help but notice that you put $1,000 a week in the collection plate," he state

“Why, yes," she replied, "every week my son sends me money, and I give some of it to the church.”

The pastor was amazed. "Your son is very successful; what does he do for a living?

"He is a veterinarian in Nevada ... He has two cat houses, one in Las Vegas and one in Reno.
