Life in Maryland can get a bit hectic, but you’re in luck. There are quite a few scenic roads in the state worth exploring when you’re looking to get away from it all and one in particular is among the most beautiful. Pack some snacks as you prepare to explore this gorgeous stretch of road.
Hooper's Island Road offers some of the most picturesque views in Maryland.
The road spans approximately nine miles, taking you to all three sections of Hooper's Island.

Thanks for the article, haven't lived here too long. Looks like a cool road trip.
ReplyDeleteOne of the nicest drives you can take is from Black water to Hoppers all the way down to the end of our wprld.
ReplyDeleteThats the bridge they keep catching all them illegals fishing stripers.
ReplyDeleteJust don't try and drive there when all the bicycle fanatics in their spandex shorts are blocking the road. They never obey the rules of the road or stop signs but will be very nasty and hostile if you do not allow them free rein over the road. Much like sailboaters.
ReplyDeleteTook the trip to Old Salty's for Easter. I don't think I'll ever cook again for that holiday! Great people, great food.
ReplyDeleteExcellent drive and views, make sure you stop by Old Salty's for lunch or dinner, the best seafood and views..
ReplyDeleteElliots Island road has it beat.
ReplyDeleteI prefer taking my motorcycle to Hooper's Island, to go to Old Salty's of course! My bike will get around all of the pedal power systems in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteShhhhh
ReplyDeleteTom Flowers who was the former Maryland state senator and resident of Dorchester county, dedicated the hooper's island bridge to the stupidity of mankind! It was overkill for this region.
ReplyDeleteJoe you want to go to a good seafood restaurant on the shore? Go to "Old Salty's". You will never regret that meal since you are over there. I would like to see your review on them. When I was there the last time I had the best waitress there her name was Mary. She was happy / helpful / sense of humor and her smile proved she was a happy person Ask for her when you get there. You have to sign their guest book. I am planning on going again before the summer traffic.
