Wicomico Government Office Building Forced To Close Down Again On Friday Morning

All employees working for Wicomico County were sent home at 9:30 AM Friday because, (once again) there was no water. Without a doubt, this cost taxpayers some $20,000.00 and some are wondering if the City will reimburse the County for this expense as well as the last time Downtown construction forced the County to shut down.

What do you think?

  1. I saw water coming up from the road over by the intersection of the library and parking garage yesterday around 1530 hours.

  2. Wasting money on nonsense festivals and parties instead of the infrastructure.

  3. Mayors vendetta. There is no reason why the Government office building should be shut down for this BS. They should be self sufficient. Give the City an eviction notice immediately and start lawsuit to make the City pay the money owed to the County for rent, for their portion of maintenance / upkeep to be paid within 60 days plus all expenses incurred by the County. Bob needs to quit pussy footing around with this 10 year old child and his bully friends.

  4. Jake Day I promise you, write it down, when all this is said and done and I aquire all the necessary data, both on all the properties you allowed to be stolen by gilliss gilkerson and their resale value and most importantly the actual cost for this whole folk festival and the cities bottom line added revenue I will personally be confronting on a constant basis to force you to fess up to your incompetent behavior. There was a gentleman years ago, Jim trader, that made it his purpose to expose city government and it's corruption. I think its time someone picked up where he left off, but it will be done with precise facts and figures to allow no wiggle room

  7. Agree quit wasting money Jake. How about replacing the street light bulbs that have burned out in Camden Ave. especially the one on the corner of North and Camden so it's not so dangerously dark. Now that is what I pay taxes for, not some stupid festival.

  13. It's time for Wicomico County to get it's own water and sewer. Stop being owned by the City of Salisbury.

  15. Wrong only ones who were affected by the water pipe being broken by whoever was fixing it. Most were let go after 10:30 or later. If you are going to report something report it correctly. The health department was still open on Carroll st.

  16. Most GOB employees have smart phones or tablets let them work from home and let the revenue collectors set up office in the old post office somewhere.

I almost forgot about Mr. Trader. Mike Dumb and Dinglebarrie Tilmon were very mean to him. Wasn't he part of the Original 12 or Dirty Dozen?
