  6. The principals cannot do anything central office doesn't allow. The principals don't want thugs anymore than anyone else. Hands tied by liberal politics.

  7. I have been in the trenches hand and hand with Amy Elkridge! One of the best principals in the area! If she can't settle that school down, no one can! She is TOP NOTCH in my book! I cant say enough about her or her leadership ability!

  9. Amy Eskridge Is a Tough principal, when I was in middle school 3 years ago she kept control of the building, she had authority. She scares a lot of people , I see her in the gym lifting a couple hundred pounds. She is built. JMB IS BLESSED! THEY NEED TO GET RID OF MRS. PINHEY AT PHS (AKA MRS. PIGGY)

  11. 6:56 Great example to set for others and the students by disrespecting an authority figure and calling her names. Little wonder why the schools are out of control.

    1. Yes we are. Glad she is leaving. The heavy handed communist mentality doesn't play well at Mardela.

  15. Seems as if all Phase 1 Appointments are from schools that made headlines in the news... Bennett Middle, Bennett High, Choices.... I hope they do more.

  16. Eskridge was removed from Bennett several years ago for her poor performance during the construction of the new school. Added to that, she had issues with teachers, students and parents who were constantly contacting the board asking for her removal.

The board's solution to the issue, was to send her to Salisbury Middle school. A few years later, "issues" started occurring again. The board's response was to remove her from the situation again by transferring her to Mardela.

I don't have knowledge of any Mardela issues, but I'm sure they're coming. They follow her.

And now she goes back to Bennett for a 2nd time.

    1. But overall she don't play around with the Thugs in the schools ... Zero Tolerance, It's very different when you say she been to Bennett before but the thing is she was just the Dean of Students not principal, she goes by the orders of the principal so I don't know if your story is true. Almost every administrator gets moved around and sometimes visit the school more then twice.

  17. 8:30 another shining example of the biggest problem in the schools - parents and their ignorance.

  18. I think you have her confused with Batts. She wasn't at JMB when the new school was built. I think you've got the wrong person.

  19. Mrs Eskridge is one of the strongest administrators in the county with a passion for education She values instruction as well as a safe and orderly school. JMB is lucky to get her. The community should support our school leaders not not personally bash them. Thank you Donna for an excellent choice.

  20. I think you have Ms. Eskridge mixed up with Lori Batts, she was at JMB when it was being built. I have worked with Amy and she is Top notch tough when she needs to be and caring and fair to. Mardela is loosing a very good Principal. But I know Liza will adapt to Mardela as she went to school there and I hear nothing but good things. So to say she is hated in Mardela is not true unless you are a disgruntled parent who did not like a descision she made. You cannot make everyone happy all the time its just not possible. Ms. Eskridge will be missed in Mardela. Congrats to Mr. Rick Briggs on his appointment as well.

  21. 6:56 I work at Parkside and have never heard her called Ms piggy. Even if you don't like her, that is a rude rediculous thing to call someone. Its true that you never see her. She is either in her office (sometimes crying) or she leaves because of her headaches. Has no control of the school. Has no idea what is going on. Kids are running wild. But hey, our referral numbers are down.

  22. Batts is the one that couldn't handle the principal job in several schools. Instead of firing her they promoted her to the head of guidance of the whole county. Now at Parkside she changed every counsler at one time and none of them know how to do their job. It's a big mess. Screw up a couple of schools, get promoted, and screw up a whole bunch at the same time. What a bunch of idiots. Can't wait to move away from here. It seems as if sometimes they do everything they can to make things worse.

I hear you!! As a parent I am sick and tired of her lack of experience and leadership in that school. Micah Stauffer was top notch from what I know of him and was hoping he would still be there.

  24. I know a lot of parents and employees that didn't like Amy Eskridge so I am wondering if it is her on here sending the fluff emails about how great she is!

You are 100% correct. I know for a fact that several years ago there were issues with some handicap kids and their families. Ms. Eskridge was a mean and inconsiderate P.O.S. and so was the black guy the works for the BOE named Turner. He was arrogant and racist.

You might be an example of someone that can't comprehend plain English. It is my impression that 8:30 is a student and not a parent.

  36. Dear readers,

While I have no interest at commenting on administrative appointments beyond the obvious agendas in place, I will share the Dr. Baer is an immensely talented professional who has consistently gone far beyond his stated responsibilities - to that end, I have not met anyone who disliked the man, his abilities, and his passion for helping his students succeed. I don't know what leadership/administrative experience he brings to the school system, but his promotion should bode well for those students who are inclinded to engage in the arts

    Best of luck Dr Baer

    Regards,

    Paladin
