Lost Dog 3-10-17

Joe,

On March 5, 2017 at 11:30 pm my mother in laws wood stove caught on fire in Hunters Mill, Salisbury MD. When fire dept arrive she ran out the front door and has been missing ever since.

Yesterday a person hit a beagle on the corner of Rockawalkin and Nanticoke Rd. They kept going but a lady pulled over and got the beagle. A man also stopped and said beagle had slight limp but looked ok. There are posters posted on the stop signs around the area as well as the corner she got hit on. The man told the lady that was the beagle on the poster. She replied im taking her to the humane society. And left. She never took her to the humane society.

She was in a gold 4 door car. She has short blonde hair (a boy cut style, and was wearing work out clothes. Can you please help us find her. Her dad is a Vietnam Veteran and will soon get out of the hospital. That dog was his world. Thank you

  2. Sounds like a young lady who lives (or lived) near the Rt 50 US Post Office in Salisbury. She was a cashier at the 7-11 on the corner of E Main and Long Ave before it closed. She is an animal lover like many are, including myself.

  6. I'm sorry if there was any confusion about this, but they never saw a poster of the dog on a sign. After it happened and the girl was gone, my husband texted me about it and I sent him a screenshot of an FB post about a missing beagle in the area and he said that was the dog. He was already really late for work so I called the number from the FB post. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion about what the girl knew or didn't know about the dog when she took her. I just hope the dog didn't get away from her later and now she's lost in an unfamiliar area. Everyone, please put collars with tags or embroidery with contact info on your pups and have them microchipped in case they slip their collars.

  7. We need to know what the girl looked like. Does your husband Know what she looked like. What kind of car was she driving. I have information but need to know if it's true.

  8. Did your husband see what the woman looked like. Old,young, height? What color hair short or long? What kind of car was she driving and which way was she heading. This was a house pet that only went in the fenced in backyard. The Fire Dept. had all the doors open from the smoke, and she darted out the front door. We want to make sure we have the right information.

  9. It's posted all over Facebook. I know this lady sees it. It's common someone would steal your dog knowing that the owner is very sick. Someday she will have to stand in front of her maker.

  10. If your mother in law is still able to live at her home after the fire happened have her place clothing and anything else that has their scent on it outside of their door. Beagles have amazing scents and can pick up their familiar scents from a mile away. It's worth a try. I love my little beagle and would be a wreck if this happened to me.

  11. The bottom line is that this lady that took the dog has seen these post and not returned the dog to the owner. Yes the owner might have heard something different then what was said to her on the phone. Yes the dog was a house pet with a fence in backyard. No the dog wasn't wearing a collar. It ran away scared of the ten firemen in the house when the door was opened. At the end of this the dog was loved by its owners not abused. Do not judge and you don't have the right to judge. The lady knows and still hasn't given information or given the dog to its rightful owner. She will be the one judged at the end of her day.

  12. I saw on Facebook our crazy Wicomico humane society is using a lottery system now to adopt animals. What happened to an application and getting the animal to the best home?

  13. I am sorry of the tragedy that caused the door to run away frightened. If someone knowingly was told the dog was the missing one on the posters she must return the dog keeping it will just stress it after what it has already experienced and missing its family. If you have a heart lady contact the owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
