ANNAPOLIS, Md. —Democratic leaders at the state House on Tuesday rolled out a legislative agenda they said protects Maryland from President Donald Trump's initiatives.
Democrats, including Maryland State Attorney General Brian Frosh, rolled out a legislative agenda designed to insulate Maryland from Trump's policies.
"We are going to be the new line state this year because we are going to protect ourselves from Washington, D.C.," said Senate President Mike Miller, D-Prince George's County.
"Donald Trump is putting up a wall in Texas; New Mexico is all geared, in my estimation, to people of color, take away rights from women," said House Speaker Michael Busch, D-Anne Arundel County.

ReplyDelete"we are going to protect ourselves from Washington DC." "...taking away rights from women.." etc., etc., etc.
ReplyDeleteSounds like several cases of pacifiers are needed in OUR state legislature...again.
can we get trump to come drain the Annapolis swamp?
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious that we have our own swamp to drain.
ReplyDeleteWhat they really mean is they intend to continue to stifle justice and keep MD citizens in chains of slavery via poverty, taxation and regulation, and continuation of violating our Constitutional rights!
ReplyDeletethat is a dumb move. I bet VA just pulled ahead of MD for the new FBI building. I hope trump punishes them for acting like children. Funny how MD is one of the federal government's biggest employers. Do not bite the hand that feeds you. Seems like these clowns need to learn a lesson.
ReplyDelete9:57 that's a big Amen!
ReplyDeleteThe funny thought here is that if it wasn't for the Government/Political "Non-Profit" employees sucking off of the teat of Washington, DC, Maryland would be a red state and these idiots would not be in power.
ReplyDeleteI imagine quite a few of the constituents in PG, Montgomery and Howard counties are worried about their cushy federal jobs being eliminated.
ReplyDeleteJust a power ploy, trying to keep control of the idiots.
ReplyDeleteThey, those about whom this article was written, are what's wrong with Maryland. They have made business ownership in Maryland almost impossible. They have driven taxes up, business and residents out.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget guys. Mid term elections are in 2018. Lets rid ourselves of these representatives who swore to abide by the Constitution but refuse to do so.
ReplyDeleteThese people need to let the adults run the show now.
ReplyDeleteTime to Drain the Annapolis Swamp. Put these Crooked "Representatives" out to pasture.
ReplyDeleteSo they are not upholding their oath of office. YOUR ALL FIRED
ReplyDeleteDear President Trump....these morons do not represent the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
