Cardin Emerging as Leading Trump Foreign Policy Critic
WASHINGTON (AP) — After introducing sanctions legislation on Russia and opposing Donald Trump’s nomination of Rex Tillerson for secretary of state, Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin is emerging as a leading Democratic critic of the president’s foreign policy.
“I think there’s a real possibility that we will disagree on significant points and I will be vocal about it,” Cardin said in an interview with Capital News Service.
As the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Cardin will play an influential role by either supporting or opposing the direction of the Trump administration’s foreign policy as it takes shape in the coming months.
However, Cardin faces obstacles to challenging Trump, primarily the Republican majority in both houses of Congress.
As I have said before, Ben Cardin has never held a job in his entire life. How is someone with his background and life experience supposed to represent real people? Why should anyone believe anything he says?
Watched this whole interchange in the Senate and it got so bad had to mute my damn TV. Cardin spoke in his bumpersticker ideological BS while boring the wits out of anyone dumb enough to listen to him. Isn't it time we got this one out of the swamp, too?
Maryland sure knows how to pick losers when it comes to politics. We just need to get some real people to run against these losers. People that are outspoken like Trump and can talk to real people. What have the likes of O'Malley, Cardin, Van Hollen etc, really ever done to help America or Maryland? The answer is Nnthing.
What does HE know about how society works now or the struggles of the middle class? He looks like he should be wearing a cape and sleeping in the day. Hanging him might not be the best option. You don't want to find him slinking into your room later as a wisp of smoke under the door.
What a POS. In the category as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Tom Holder, Cowardly Obama and Joe Biden. Should be voted out ASAP. He is a tax and spend democrat with no honor, courage or common sense. Basically, a traitor to the American people. Just another worthless Obama democrat that has done absolutely nothing to better the lives of those he is supposed to represent. An Obama puppet and a yes man to the core.
