Stadium protests violate America’s last remaining safe space

People enjoy sports as a way to forget their problems,
not to be reminded of them

This election season has lasted far longer than any I can remember. Even for professional politicians, the constant emotional theater of controversy, fear and anger during the election has grown quite wearying. Undoubtedly many Americans feel the same way – weary of the constant fighting and media natter, and yearning for a neutral ground where we can forget about our troubles for a while and enjoy the passionate distraction.

Many people find a brief respite in their favorite sports contests, an arena that is supposedly America’s ultimate safe space.

That is, it was considered so until recently. The controversy surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has decided to kneel instead of stand during the singing of the national anthem before games, represents for some a gross violation of that sacred place. In many ways, sports stars and entertainers transcend America’s social dynamics. Basketball great Michael Jordan is considered a god among many, his racial identity all but forgotten amidst his towering legend. Golf phenom Tiger Woods – at least before his fall from grace – was viewed in the same light by many. Sports stars enjoy the lofty, if somewhat precarious esteem of being those in whom we invest our collective fantasies about our most powerful achievements.

Exclusive: Hillary Killed Libya Peace Deal Over Personal Vendetta, Claims Whistleblower

Gaddafi agreed to hold free elections, but Clinton's refusal led to ISIS takeover, thousands of deaths, international migrant crisis

Hillary Clinton personally nixed a peace deal in Libya that would have led to free elections and prevented the country being seized by ISIS, all because of a personal vendetta she had with Muammar Gaddafi, according to explosive new claims made by a whistleblower who personally oversaw the negotiations.

Christian preacher Dr. Kilari Anand Paul is a global peace ambassador originally from India who is now a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Colonel Gaddafi personally invited Dr. Paul to Tripoli, Libya for peace talks having looked up to Paul as a spiritual leader since 1992 and having been impressed with the evangelist’s counseling work with King Hussein of Jordan and Yasser Arafat.

Dr. Paul arrived in Libya on August 5, 2011 with a contingent of Indian Members of Parliament and others on his peacekeeping team. Upon hearing of their arrival via press reports, General Wesley Clark encouraged Dr. Paul to try to negotiate a settlement between the U.S. State Department and Gaddafi in order to put a halt to the brutal conflict.

FBI Allowed 2 Hillary Aides To "Destroy" Their Laptops In Newly Exposed "Side Agreements"

Just when you think the Hillary email scandal can't get any more bizarre and corrupt, it does. According to a just releasedletter from the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Bob Goodlatte (R - Virginia), to Attorney General Lynch, the FBI apparently struck "side agreements" with both Cheryl Mills an Heather Samuelson to "destroy" their "laptops after concluding its search."

In the attached, Goodlatte questioned why the destruction of the laptops used to sort Clinton's emails was included in immunity deals that already protected Mills and Samuelson from prosecution based on the records recovered from their computers. Furthermore, we learn that according to the immunity agreements, FBI agents limited their search to documents authored before Jan. 2015. The Republican argued such parameters prevented investigators from examining potential proof of the destruction of evidence that may have occurred after that date, and that the deals offered to Mills and Samuelson already protected the aides from prosecution related to their alleged roles in the deletion of federal records.

"Like many things about this case, these new materials raise more questions than answers," Goodlatte wrote of the "side agreements," which lawmakers were allowed to read even though they have not yet been released in full to members of Congress.

The immunity deals for Mills and Samuelson were negotiated before they agreed to hand over their laptops which we now learn were subsequently destroyed.

While we parse the letter to understand what basis for action the FBI may have had when pursuing such a course of action, we can't help but note that the FBI appears to have acted as a co-conspirator in what appears to be an unprecedented case of destruction of key evidence.

Below are some of the key excerpts from the letter (full document attached at the end of this post):

Election Results: Town of Berlin

Berlin Mayor, Council Election Results

Charlene Sharpe
Staff Writer
BERLIN -- Voters re-elected Mayor Gee Williams in today's Berlin election.

Williams received 588 votes Tuesday, far ahead of challenger Lisa Hall, who received 137 votes.

In the District 2 race, Zackery Tyndall received 185 votes, coming out ahead of Jack Orris, who collected 116 votes.

Williams has been a familiar face in Berlin politics since 2003 when he joined the town council. When then-Mayor Tom Cardinale died suddenly in the spring of 2008, Williams, as council vice president, was charged with completing his term. He filed for election again that fall, defeating challenger Rex Hailey, and ran unopposed in 2012.

Hall, who was elected to her second council term in 2012, made it known early on that she intended to run for mayor in 2016. Williams, however, wasn’t ready to give up the seat.

Report: Ineligible Aliens Voted in Philadelphia in Recent Years

Dozens of ineligible aliens who have been removed from the voter rolls in the city of Philadelphia, Pa., have cast ballots in recent elections, according to a new report from an election watchdog group.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, an Indiana-based nonprofit that litigates to protect election integrity, released a reporton Tuesday detailing voter rolls in Philadelphia. The information was collected from public records requests made through the National Voter Registration Act.

The group found that from 2013 to 2015, 86 registrations were cancelled in Philadelphia because the registrant was not a United States citizen. Of the cancelled registrants, 40 aliens from the city have voted in at least one election, the report stated.

Bill Clinton Smears Trump Supporters in Michigan: 'Mad About Immigration...Mad About Trade'

Former president Bill Clinton disparaged Donald Trump supporters at a rally Monday in Saginaw, Michigan, painting them as people blinded by “resentment” and “fear.”

Clinton arrived on stage at 1:44 PM Eastern for a rally that was supposed to begin at noon Eastern, an hour and forty-four minutes earlier.

“When I saw Hillary in that debate…every American who watched it, unless they were just so knotted up with anger and resentment” saw a clear contrast in the candidates’ experience, Clinton said.

“If you’re mad then it doesn’t matter,” Clinton said.

Clinton then mockingly assumed the voice of angry Americans.

“I’m mad about immigration, I’m mad about trade, I’m mad because my wages aren’t going up,” Clinton said, painting the divide in the country as a battle between “the voters of Hope vs. the voters of fear.”

“Most of the anti-immigration feeling in America is in places that don’t have a lot of immigrants. We’ve got to stop fighting over this,” Clinton said.

After marching band members take knee during national anthem, college issues declaration

After members of a college band knelt or simply didn’t play their instruments during the national anthem on Saturday, the university is now assuring donors, parents and students that it won’t happen again.

Members of the East Carolina University Marching Pirates were seen kneeling as they played the “Star-Spangled Banner” before the weekend matchup against the University of Central Florida. Meanwhile, other members of the band just didn’t play at all, WTVD-TV reported.

However, the band was met with loud boos from the crowd once it was finished playing and when it came back out on the field during halftime.

Linda Tripp: Hillary Threw Hard Objects at Bill Clinton

NEW YORK — In an exclusive interview, Linda Tripp, a former White House staffer whose workspace was located directly adjacent to Hillary Clinton’s second floor West Wing office, confirmed long-reported accounts of the former First Lady throwing hard objects at Bill Clinton.

Tripp further described what she characterized as Hillary Clinton’s significant temperament issues, including “endless screaming” and the constant use of profanity, as well as a general disdain for the U.S. electorate, the Armed Services and the honor and dignity of the institution of the American presidency, calling her public persona a “smoke and mirrors act.”

Tripp further stated that as early as the first days of the Bill Clinton administration there was already talk amongst senior staff about a future Hillary Clinton presidency, a position to which Hillary Clinton believed herself entitled.

Illegal Foreign Voting in Virginia Covered Up by Soros-Backed Democratic Officials, Says Report

Virginia’s election officials are enabling illegal registration and voting by foreign citizens, according to an extensive new study, titled “Alien Invasion in Virginia,” by a former Department of Justice civil rights lawyer.

“Virginia election officials don’t seem to care that thousands of [foreign] aliens have corrupted their voter rolls,” by illegally registering to vote, said J. Christian Adams, the former Department of Justice lawyer, and now the president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation. “Even worse than doing nothing about it, they are trying to cover it up,” he toldBreitbart News.

Even small amounts of illegal voting can make a decisive difference — Democratic Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring defeated Republican Mark Obenshain in 2013 by a mere 165 votes out of 2.2 million votes cast.

But “in the eight [out of 130-plus] jurisdictions that provided us with lists of aliens recently removed from their voter rolls, we discovered that 31 non-citizens had cast a total of 186 votes between 2005 and 2015,” said the report, given first to Breitbart News.

Annapolis homicide rates soar

ANNPOLIS, Md. —Annapolis is now grappling with a dubious distinction: 2016 has marked the most homicides in the city's history.

There have been nine homicides in one year. It's the most homicides recorded in Annapolis since the city started keeping records.

The soaring murder stats have some residents calling for action, and that includes Annapolis Mayor Mike Pantelides.

"I'm pissed off about this. I'm upset that murders are up, even though crime is down overall. We have to do a better job going forward," Pantelides said.

According to police Chief Michael Pristoop, the homicide spike is being driven by a complicated combination of factors, including heroin.

Annapolis has seen eight fatal overdoses so far this year compared to none the year before. There were also 45 nonfatal overdoses -- a 250 percent jump year-to-year.

In an open letter on Facebook, Pristoop also blamed the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis.

"Unfortunately, much of our violent crime is centered in and around HACA properties. (They've) become offender magnets due to HACA's refusal to enforce banning and other internal rules that affect security. (The) banning policy is not only unenforced, it is feckless."

She heard screaming. It sounded exactly like her 23-year-old daughter’s voice, begging for help.

Then an unfamiliar voice announced, “We have your daughter.”

FBI agreed to destroy laptops of Clinton aides with immunity deal, sources say

Immunity deals for two top Hillary Clinton aides included a side arrangement obliging the FBI to destroy their laptops after reviewing the devices, House Judiciary Committee sources told Fox News on Monday.

Sources said the arrangement with former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson also limited the search to no later than Jan. 31, 2015. This meant investigators could not review documents for the period after the email server became public -- in turn preventing the bureau from discovering if there was any evidence of obstruction of justice, sources said.

The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee fired off a letterMonday to Attorney General Loretta Lynch asking why the DOJ and FBI agreed to the restrictive terms, including that the FBI would destroy the laptops after finishing the search.

“Like many things about this case, these new materials raise more questions than answers,” Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., wrote in the letter obtained by Fox News.

“Doesn’t the willingness of Ms. Mills and Ms. Samuelson to have their laptops destroyed by the FBI contradict their claim that the laptops could have been withheld because they contained non-relevant, privileged information? If so, doesn’t that undermine the claim that the side agreements were necessary?” Goodlatte asks.

The Corrupt Clinton Foundation You've Never Heard Of

Three months after leaving the White House in 2001, former President Bill Clinton arrived in India to cheering throngs to help those who had just lost a million homes in the aftermath of a massive earthquake that killed 20,000 and injured 166,000.

In classic Clinton style, he solemnly promised that his new nonprofit — called the American India Foundation (AIF) — would rebuild 100 villages. Rajat Gupta, his millionaire co-chairman, pledged $1 billion for the victims.

It never happened. Years later, AIF’s annual reports were reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation and show only seven villages were partially rebuilt by Clinton’s group, and a mere $2.7 million of $53 million raised over a decade went to the earthquake victims.

The rest went for completely unrelated projects, including “accelerating social change,” fighting AIDS, “sustainable development,” and working for “digital equalizers.”

Supreme Court rejects 1 Redskins appeal; other case pending

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a long-shot appeal from the Washington Redskins challenging a law that bars offensive trademarks, although the justices could still resolve the same issue in another pending case.

The court turned away the team’s unusual request to have its case heard before a federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, weighs in. The Redskins are appealing the government’s decision to cancel its trademarks over concerns the nickname disparages Native Americans.

Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie said the team would not comment.

In a separate case, the justices will decide whether the trademark law violates the First Amendment. That case involves The Slants, an Asian-American rock band that was denied a trademark on the ground that its name disparages Asians.

Cracks Emerge: Hillary Cancels Joint Campaign Events With Bernie After Leaked Recording

After Friday's latest leak, in which a recording of Hillary Clinton during a February fundraiser revealed disparaging commentary aimed at Millennials in general and Bernie Sanders supporters in particular in which Hillary said that Sanders supporters are harboring "false promises" and "are living in their parents’ basement" because "they don’t see much of a future" (supposedly after eight years under the Obama administration), Hillary tried to patch up the PR snafu, aware that she urgently needs the youth vote on her side.

A statement by her campaign said that, "as Hillary Clinton said in those remarks, she wants young people to be idealistic and set big goals. She is fighting for exactly what millennial generation cares most about — a fairer more equal, just world. She's working to create new pathways to jobs and career opportunities, to build more inclusivity and community, and to ensure everyone gets a fair shot," the statement read adding that "She's inspired by the optimism and the drive of this generation and Sanders supporters across the country — and they've helped her craft and promote the most progressive platform in Democratic party history."

Sanders, who ran for president as a member of the Democratic Party, responded that while it "of course" bothered him that Clinton said he sold a "false promise" to his supporters, he did not appear to be greatly bothered by Hillary's classification of his voters: “Well, I agree with her, what she is saying,” he said on CNN's State of the Union. “There are young people who went deeply into debt, worked very hard to get a good education, and yet get out of school and can’t get decent jobs … and are living in their parents’ basements. There is a point there.”

Obama's fault? In any case, cracks appeared below the surface after it emerged that Clinton and Sanders are taking a break from joint events and are having a campaign-trail split after the leaked recording, which appears to have done more damage than let on.

President Obama is so concerned about Hillary Clinton's health that he recently offered to arrange a secret medical checkup for her at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Hillary declined the offer because she feared the media would find out about her Walter Reed visit and learn the truth about her medical condition—that she is suffering from arrhythmia (an abnormal heart beat), a leaking heart valve, chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her medications.

From TDC: Inside The Investigation Of Hillary Clinton

“I got a heads-up from my attorney that the FBI wanted to interview me about Hillary, and specifically about her conflict of interest handling Clinton Foundation business while she was running the nation’s foreign policy.”

The speaker was a retired Foreign Service officer who had worked closely with Hillary and flown with her on several State Department missions overseas. This former diplomat was quoted in my book “Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary;” she said she had witnessed Hillary dealing with Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative business from her office and conference room on the seventh floor of the State Department, and from the cabin of Air Force Two.

“Knowing what I knew, I guess I wasn’t really surprised to be contacted by the FBI,” the source said in an interview for this book. “I’m a Democrat and supporter of Hillary for president, but I was deeply resentful that she carried out her family foundation business so openly when she was at state. It was as though being secretary of state was her part-time job, while her first priorities were raising money for her presidential run, which she was planning from day one, and raising money for the Clinton Foundation.

“The amazing thing about how she behaved was that she was completely unembarrassed that the people who worked with her knew what she was doing,” the source continued. “She had no qualms, because she said that the work she did at state and the work she was doing for the foundation and the Global Initiative were related and complemented each other.

Man claiming to be Bill Clinton's illegitimate son via a prostitute continues campaign to have the former president recognize him

Rumors that Bill Clinton once fathered a child with a prostitute have reemerged, as the now 30-year-old man makes a bid to have the former president recognize him as a son.

Danney Williams started a Facebook page in December, under the new name Danney Williams-Clinton, with the apparent intention of grabbing the Clintons' attention.

The claims that Danney is the former president's love child aren't new, but they haven't exactly been put to rest either.

A DNA test reportedly conducted by Star magazine in 1999 said that Danney couldn't be Clinton's son but there remain questions about the test's precision.

Danney's story first garnered international attention in 1992, as then-Arkansas Gov Clinton was gearing up to run for president.

U.S. is only 15th most free country in the world, study says

With costly healthcare, a stereotype of obesity and a culture of creatively fatty foods, “healthy” probably isn’t the first word that comes to mind when you think of the United States.

But according to the Legatum Prosperity Index’s findings for 2015, the U.S. is the healthiest country in the world. However, when it comes to freedom, an ideal most Americans pride themselves on, the U.S. falls to 15.

So what’s the country with the most personal freedom? Canada, followed by New Zealand, Norway, Luxembourg and Iceland.

Personal freedom, as defined by the London-based Legatum Institute, measures a nation’s performance at both guaranteeing individual freedom and encouraging social tolerance. Canda was ranked No. 1 due to 94 percent of its citizens saying they believed they had the freedom to choose the course of their own lives and 92 percent saying there was tolerance for ethnic minorities and immigrants.

Overall, the U.S. was ranked the 11th most prosperous country out of 142, with Norway snagging the top spot. Other areas measured are the economy, entrepreneurship and opportunity, governance, education, social capital and safety and security.

Doctor Shortage: Is It OK to go With a Physician Assistant?

With millions of newly insured patients entering the healthcare system as a result of Obamacare, the demand for family practice doctors has increased astronomically.

There aren’t nearly enough general practitioner MDs to go around. By 2025, there will be a national shortage of up to 31,100 family physicians and internists, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges.

To handle the patient overflow, MDs increasingly rely on physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs). At many clinics, patients rarely see their primary-care physician, and many of them aren’t happy about it.

About 72 percent of patients would rather see an MD than a PA, according to a recent national survey.

But should you be worried about seeing an MD instead of a PA or NP?

Not necessarily, experts say. But it depends on why you’re seeing a healthcare professional.

Most PAs or NPs are perfectly able to treat minor conditions. But more serious disorders require the attention of an MD.

“The vast majority of medicine is routine,” says Tom Ahern, a certified PA with nearly 40 years of experience. “I would say that 99 percent of the time it’s OK to see the PA.”

Although both PAs and NPs can diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and order/interpret tests, there are some differences.

Rebuffed Again – Clinton Speaks To Empty Seats in Charlotte, NC, AME Church…

Once again the MSM hides the reality of a Clinton event targeting the black community, where the audience doesn’t show up to hear her speech

Once again Hillary Clinton finds her racially-driven campaign efforts contrasted against lackluster black audience.  This time in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Beyond the terrible optics, the lack of enthusiasm stunned the campaign.  However, the media provided cover, and the Kansas City story never gained the appropriate, or representative, attention.  Two days later, trying to gain racial campaign traction, Hillary Clinton delivered her antagonistic “they’re racists”/”basket of deplorables” remarks.
Well, yesterday it was déjà vu all over again.

Is America Becoming A Vast Debtor's Prison?

Since the United States was founded, citizenship has represented a safe haven from oppressive regimes around the world. By preserving the principles of small government and free markets, those who were willing to work hard found success, and America became a magnet for innovation. But as the U.S. continues to erode personal and economic freedom, more people than ever before are handing over their U.S. passports to seek better opportunities abroad.

The staggering amount of debt held by the American empire ensures the public will be working it off for generations to come. The government has already begun its campaign to make it more difficult to leave the country, and it has also begun to crack down on the finances of the eight million Americans living abroad. Regardless of whether you’re a millionaire with multiple foreign bank accounts or a recent college graduate with a boatload of debt, the status of being a United States citizen brings with it a burden that will only grow heavier over time.
Tax Refugees

Since 2008, the number of individuals giving up their citizenship has increased by almost 560%, setting new records each of the past three years. Some of these expats are motivated by the extra tax load paid when working abroad, while others are trying to avoid student loan debt. Others have just had enough of the encroaching police state.

Every taxpayer left in the country now owes more than $149,000 of the national debt, so it’s no surprise the tide is beginning to turn. By hook or by crook, in the coming years, citizens will be fleeced of that money through higher taxes, savings that are inflated away, and an overall drop in their standard of living. Many can see the writing on the wall and have become determined to protect themselves from the years of economic repression coming down the pipe.

Isn't it interesting how many people clicked on the title of the example article above, yet there are only 57 comments.

I bring this up to give you a better idea of how the comment ratio goes on any given article. Just because there doesn't seem to be a lot of comments doesn't mean the article itself isn't being read.

After doing this for so many years, on our end we sometimes really crack up laughing at the statistics/numbers.

Just when we'd think, wow, this article is really going to soar in comments, it flops. Then we'll have some basic article that day that beings in 150 comments out of nowhere. Seriously, we can never flat out predict which one is going to really do well.

I'll say this too. Today we have a "Featured Article" of the day in the top left hand corner. Now that article should be blowing everyone away. It falls in line with Main Stream credibility, yet you'll never see it in the Main Stream Media. The comments should be soaring and Americans should be outraged, yet there are very few comments. U.S. top court denies Obama request to rehear major immigration case

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to rehear a bid to revive President Barack Obama's plan to spare from deportation millions of immigrants in the country illegally, a case in which the justices split 4-4 in June.

In a brief order, the court rejected the Obama administration's long-shot request, meaning the justices' June 23 decision is final. That ruling left in place lower court decisions blocking the plan, which Obama announced in 2014 but never went into effect.

The high court remains one justice short following Antonin Scalia's February death.

The Democratic president's plan was challenged in court by Republican-governed Texas and 25 other states that argued he overstepped the powers granted to him by the U.S. Constitution by infringing upon congressional authority. Obama acted unilaterally by executive action, bypassing the Republican-led Congress.

Pat Caddell: 'This Really Is Trump's Election If He Wants To Win It'

Pollster Pat Caddell believes that victory in the 2016 election is in the hands of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying on Monday, “This really is Trump’s election if he wants to win it.”

“It’s in his hands,” Caddell told SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Daily. “We still have not seen the rise of the refugee issue, which the Breitbart Gravis polls shows has emerged as a major issue.”

Caddell also cited immigration as another issue on which Trump can win, if he emphasizes it: “That has yet to be raised as an issue.”

“The most important thing is, it’s not done. This election is still in huge flux, partly because we have, as we have seen in the Breitbart polls… close to a quarter of voters who are unfavorable to both candidates,” he said. “And those voters swing back and forth. What’s going to determine this election is, what happens with them, because they are the most volatile of the electorate.”

“The dynamics here are fluid,” he added.

Alicia Machado's shady history foils Clinton sex smear

It’s about the last thing we needed this election season.

Sex has been brought into the presidential campaign. Who started it? Well, put the blame this time squarely on Hillary Clinton and her new de facto running mate: former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.

The Clinton campaign has made a big gamble by featuring Ms. Machado in their latest negative political ads. The spots paint her as a victim of Donald Trump’s bullying, but her real motivation seems to be to reclaim the limelight. Her story is increasingly hard to credit when one examines Ms. Machado’s controversial and tumultuous background, where she allegedly threatened a judge in her native Venezuela, was involved in a murder trial, had sex on a Spanish reality television show and posed for Playboy.

Her past activities have now become the focus both English and Spanish-language media coverage, distracting from the Clintons’ original goal of portraying Mr. Trump as a sexist, fat-shaming cad. The effort to smear her opponent might have just backfired.

“Many of you know me as Vera Ortegon,” she said as she opened up her speech, about an hour before Trump took the stage. “I’m your national committeewoman. But I also want to be known as one of the Deplorables. I am a Deplorable woman. I am a Deplorable Hispanic. I am a Deplorable legal immigrant. And I am Hillary’s worst fear because I am a Deplorable highly educated woman.”

As the crowd went wild, Ortegon asked: “How many of you want to be called a Deplorable?”

The building erupted in applause. Ortegan went on:

Adventist Healthcare cuts 90 jobs at Eastern Shore mental health facility

Gaithersburg-based Adventist HealthCare, the nonprofit that runs Washington Adventist Hospital and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, is laying off 90 workers at its behavioral health location on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The Adventist Behavioral & Wellness Services in Cambridge is making the cuts by Nov. 30 as it closes and temporarily delicenses its 59 residential treatment center beds and 15 acute care beds, Executive Director Ismael Gama said.

The cuts come as the health system looks to relocate its 170-bed Takoma Park hospital in Montgomery County — with a plan to leave a 39-bed psychiatric unit at the Takoma Park campus. Adventist received state approval in December to build a new $331 million hospital in White Oak.

Hurricane Matthew

The eye of extremely dangerous Hurricane Matthew made landfall near Les Angais in western Haiti at 7 a.m. EDT. The eye is located at hour later ( 8 a.m. EDT) about 10 miles (15 km) east of that city and about 125 miles (200 km) south of the eastern tip of Cuba. Maximum sustained winds remain near 145 mph (230 km/h) with higher gusts - a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir- Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Some fluctuations in intensity are possible during the next couple of days, but Matthew is expected to remain a powerful hurricane through at least Wednesday night.

A Hurricane Warning continues for Haiti, the Cuban provinces of Guantanamo, Santiago de Cuba, Holguin, Granma, and Las Tunas, and the Southeast, Central and Northwest Bahamas. A Hurricane Watch continues for the Cuban province of Camaguey. A Tropical Storm Warning continues for the Dominican Republic from Barahona westward to the border with Haiti, as well as Jamaica and Turks and Caicos Islands. A Tropical Storm Watch continues for the Dominican Republic from Puerto Plata westward to the border with Haiti. Interests elsewhere in Hispaniola and in the Florida Peninsula and the Florida Keys should monitor the progress of Matthew. Tropical storm and/or hurricane watches are likely for portions of the Florida peninsula and Florida Keys later this morning.

Tropical storm or hurricane conditions could affect portions of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina later this week or this weekend, even if the center of Matthew remains offshore. It is too soon to specify what, if any, direct impacts Matthew might have on the remainder of the U.S. east coast farther north. At a minimum, very dangerous beach and boating conditions are likely along much of the U.S. east coast later this week and weekend.

Cha-ching! Mosque wins $1.7M with help from Obama’s DOJ

Imam once investigated for ties to 9/11 terror now has gov't support

A Michigan community being sued by the Obama Justice Department and CAIR for rejecting the construction of a large Islamic school has agreed to settle out of court for $1.7 million and allow the project to go forward.

The tentative settlement agreed to by Pittsfield Township would be one of the largest cash payouts ever by a U.S. municipality to a mosque. The deal could send shock waves throughout the nation among communities fighting to keep large mosques and madrasas out of residential areas.

The settlement grants an Ann Arbor-based mosque led by a Syrian imam the right to build a 70,000-square-foot Islamic school, a residential development consisting of 22 duplex units and three single-family homes, plus a park, the Detroit News reported.

American Political Dynasties Unite Against a Common Foe

Anyone who knows anything about the Kennedy family’s relationship with the Bushes will find the following odd: Robert F. Kennedy’s daughter got together with George H.W. “Poppy” Bush and gleefully announced that “Bush 41” is planning to vote for Hillary Clinton.

The Bush-Clinton alliance, at least, is not so surprising. The elder George Bush became famously chummy with Bill Clinton after the latter defeated him in 1992. They became so close that the former CIA director-turned-president considers him “like family” and his son refers to Clinton as his “brother from another mother.”

Further, the Bushes harbor tremendous resentment for the way Donald Trump ridiculed Poppy’s eldest son Jeb during the 2016 Republican primaries.

But what about the Kennedys? They have often been seen as a rival dynasty by the Bushes.

7 Times Hillary Clinton Threatened, Smeared and Targeted Women

Since Monday night’s presidential debate, Donald Trump’s alleged sexism has predictably become a focal point of the Hillary Clinton campaign. The former secretary of state accused Mr. Trump of being a sexist fat-shamer whose acts have disqualified him from holding the highest office in the land. Trump, politicking horrifically, only deepened the wound by vocalizing Hillary’s claim in his and his surrogates’ subsequent interviews.

But, unlike Trump was able to point out, Hillary is no “saint girl” either. Mrs. Clinton has been accused of threatening, smearing and targeting women her husband has sexually assaulted or carried out consensual affairs with.

Here are seven of those instances:

1. Hillary smears Gennifer Flowers; allegedly calls her “trailer-trash.”

In an ABC News interview in 1992, Hillary smears Gennifer Flowers, a women Bill would later admit to having an affair with, as “some failed cabaret singer who doesn’t even have much of a résumé to fall back on.” Hillary also reportedly referred to Flowers as “trailer trash.”

DHS rushing to ‘steal’ Americans’ sovereignty ahead of election

Naturalizations handed out, despite incomplete fingerprint records

With the November elections fewer than 40 days away, the Department of Homeland Security is approving as many citizenship applications as it can to try to increase the number of voters.

So says an internal memo obtained recently by Senate Republicans.

It comes amid a DHS inspector general report that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) erroneously granted citizenship to at least 858 illegal immigrants from “special interest countries,” meaning countries with connections to terrorism, who had previously been ordered deported. It was later revealed the number was actually more than 1,800 aliens.

The mistake was made because of incomplete fingerprint records: Neither the digital fingerprint repository at DHS nor the one at the FBI contains all of the old fingerprint records of people previously deported.

In DHS’s case, paper-based fingerprint cards used prior to 2008 were not consistently digitized and uploaded to the new repository. Also, in the past, fingerprints collected during immigration enforcement encounters were not always forwarded to the FBI, which explains why the bureau also doesn’t have all of them.

Trump Adviser Peter Navarro: 'Bad Trade Deal Hillary' Is a 'Pathological Liar like Her Husband'

Peter Navarro, economic policy adviser to the Trump campaign, spoke to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Matt Boyle on Friday, saying, “Bad trade deal Hillary has done more damage to the state of Michigan than perhaps any state in the country. So Mr. Trump is going to go into Michigan today, and he’s going to be talking a lot about two deals, in particular.”

Trump visited Novi, Michigan, Friday, where his emphasis is going to be on trade, according to Navarro.

As for Hillary Clinton, “She’s a pathological liar like her husband,” said Navarro. Referencing the recent debate, he said:

The biggest lie she told that night was she denied having called the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal the gold standard of trade agreements, and there was a flood of fact-checking that went on the next day that showed her doing exactly that [lying] repeatedly.

Gov. Larry Hogan undergoes last chemo treatment

After nearly a year and a half battle, I can’t tell you how it feels to be getting my very last chemo treatment today. I could never have made it to this point without the amazing support of my family, friends and staff, along with an incredible team of doctors and nurses. I am humbled by the thousands of prayers and well wishes that I received from all around the world. And I am deeply grateful to be 100% cancer free and in complete remission. My heart, my thoughts, and my prayers go out to all the other victims of cancer and their families. I plan to make the most of every single day I am given, and I won’t stop fighting until a cure is discovered for this terrible disease.

Looking back through the past year and a half, I am grateful for all of the support and prayers. So many great things happened to me, like meeting so many wonderful cancer patients fighting tougher battles than my own, and being blessed by the Pope on behalf of cancer victims around the world. And this very special moment when Tim McGraw dedicated his song "Live Like You Were Dying" to me at a benefit concert for my hospital. If you haven't watched this, please take a moment to do so. It is incredible, and brings tears to my eyes.

In Hacked Fundraiser Recording, Hillary Mocks Bernie Supporters "Living In Their Parents’ Basement"

The reason why the Trump campaign has been so eager to find transcripts and recordings of the private speeches Hillary Clinton has delivered during her extensive, lucrative speaking career, is because it is there that she reveals that rare glimpse into what she truly thinks, or at least what $250,000 per hour will get her to believe. One such example is a recently hacked recording of Hillary Clinton, where in a private conversation with campaign donors in February, Clinton distanced herself from progressive goals like “free college, free healthcare” and described her place on the political spectrum as spanning from the center-left to the center-right.

The newly disclosed comments first noticed by the Intercept, came in audio from hacked emails revealed this week by theWashington Free Beacon. Clinton was speaking at a Virginia fundraiser hosted by Beatrice Welters, the former U.S. ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, and her husband Anthony Welters, the executive chairman of an investment consulting firm founded by former Clinton aid Cheryl Mills.

The hacked audio provides another peek into the ideological chameleon that Hillary is on a day to day basis. As the Intercept notes, "Clinton has been inconsistent in the past about espousing political labels. She has at times touted herself as stalwart liberal. For instance, she said last July: “I take a backseat to no one when you look at my record in standing up and fighting for progressive values.” But a few months later, she told a group in Ohio: “You know, I get accused of being kind of moderate and center. I plead guilty.”

In one segment of the leaked audio, Hillary focused on her opponent at the time, Bernie Sanders, was pointed to successful programs in Scandinavia which provide universal daycare, family leave, and government sponsored healthcare and college education, as policies that he would seek to adopt. "Progressive" Hillary mocked the compared idea of "free college, free healthcare" to the "extreme" ideas promulgated by the right, which include "populism, nationalism and xenophobia."

Mexico Sees Massive Influx of Immigrants. Guess Where They're Heading.

Mexico has seen a massive influx of immigrants this year, particularly from Africa and Asia. The situation has gotten so dire that the Mexican government has been forced to set up temporary shelters as they scramble to expedite deportations. Many of the immigrants, Mexican officials say, are ultimately bound for the United States.

Speaking with El Universal on Thursday, Mexican Foreign Ministry undersecretary Socorro Flores expressed deep "concern" about the surge in immigrants, "many" of whom he said will be deported.

"Many of them will have to return to their home countries," he said, adding the "there is a concern because the flows have increased and there is also a concern because they need to cross many countries to get to their intended destinations."

The Daily Caller highlights the emergency actions taken by the government in response to the unexpected surge of immigrants, including "setting up shelters and working with the countries of origin of the immigrants on deportations," and provides some context to the situation:

Check out Hillary Clinton Avoided Taxes the Same Way Trump Did

Hillary Clinton used the same exact method as Donald Trump to pay less tax, according to her own tax returns released by her presidential campaign.

Donald Trump reportedly avoided paying federal income taxes by reporting massive losses on his 1995 tax return, which the New York Times somehow obtained before Trump himself released it.

The Wall Street Journal describes the loophole that Trump used:

The tax treatment of losses, bound to become a subject of national debate, is a typically noncontroversial feature of the income-tax system. The government doesn’t pay net refunds when business owners lose money, but it lets taxpayers use those losses to smooth their tax payments as they make money. That reflects the fact that “the natural business cycle of a taxpayer may exceed 12 months,” according to a congressional report.

Typically, for federal returns, such net operating losses can be carried backward for two years to offset past income and then kept on a taxpayer’s books for 20 years, though Mr. Trump’s losses could only qualify for a 15-year carryforward under the law at the time.

David Stockman: America Now Lives Under A "Perverted Regime"

The rise of Trump - and Bernie Sanders too - vastly transcends ordinary politics. In fact, it reaches deep into a ruined national economy that has morphed into rank casino capitalism under the misguided policies and faithless rule of the Washington and Wall Street elites.

This epic deformation has delivered historically unprecedented set-backs to the bottom 90% of American households. They have seen their real wealth and living standards steadily deteriorate for several decades now, even as vast financial windfalls have accrued to the elite few at the very top.

In fact, during the last 30 years, the real net worth of the bottom 90% has not increased at all. At the same time, the top 1% has experienced a 300% gain while the real wealth of the Forbes 400 has risen by 1,000%.

That’s not old-fashioned capitalism at work; it’s the fruit of a perverted regime of printing press money and debt-fueled faux prosperity that has been foisted on the nation by the bipartisan ruling elites.

To be sure, the proximate cause of this year’s election upheaval is similar to that in Reagan’s time. Back then, an era of drastic bipartisan mis-governance generated an electoral impulse to sweep out the Washington stables.

Now, however, it is not just the Beltway political class that is under attack. The very foundations of American economic life are imperiled. What remained of healthy market capitalism in Reagan’s time is no more.

It has been battered by 30 years of madcap money printing at the Fed. It labors under the $50 trillion of new public and private debt generated by that monetary eruption. And it staggers from the destructive blows of serial financial bubbles.

These bubbles have self-evidently resulted in a destructive boom-and-bust cycle in the financial system, but also much more. Bubble Finance has drained productivity and efficiency from the Main Street economy and has channeled vast resources to speculators and wasteful malinvestments.
