Bill crappie 430! The bus driver hit her! The school never called parents and when parents called they refused to information. Only said there was an accident and nothing else. My kids were on that bus. The driver had a history of mishaps and was fired immediately in front of the children.
8:31 - you are wrong on all counts! The bus did NOT hit the child, the school DID call parents, and the driver was not fired in front of the children. I don't know where you got your information, but every bit of it is wrong.
The call came at 1710 hours the 911 alert was around 1617 hours. The driver has had a history with several of the kids and should be removed as a bus driver. Several of the kids have said that the driver did not get out of the bus to even check on the student. The parents with kids on the bus need to contact Desmond Hughes at DHUGHES@WCBOE.ORG or call 4106774499.
Does someone have an accurate account of what actually happened? I have not seen anything on the news about it - did a child get hit? What is the history of the bus driver?
831 here... the child's arm was shut in the door and the driver drove off. Not paying attention. The child was hit with the bus when she was slammed into it. And while some calls went out I never received one and other parents weren't called as well. That bus driver was no good! And these bus companies make you sign waivers against law suits to protect them from the situations like this and the idiots they hire! Time for the county to pony up and enact their own transportation. As far a the termination, I went off that account from the 11 children I've spoken to since the incident. I'm sure they all were completely wrong in what the witnessed.
The schools called the parents of every child that was on the bus at the time of the accident. Only one parent could not be reached. And, yes, all of the children were wrong about the termination at the scene.
They just advised the kid was not hit by a vehicle. He just fell off the bus.

ReplyDeleteThe schools can't call until they get to the scene and find out if everyone is OK and what happened! THINK, people!
