A Viewer Writes: President Elect

I was very surprised to read about grief counseling being offered to students at Salisbury University. Welcome to the real world and get out of your bubble.

I was even more surprised to have had a dental appointment this week and was told I could not change the channel on the tv in my treatment room because the staff was told no politics on tv.
Obviously he is a Clinton supporter. Put your big boy pants on and have your temper tantrum at home by yourself in your corner. I pay for services in this office and have never been told I could not change the channel. If it bothers you that much the 5 minutes you may be in the room with me, then turn off all the tv's. They are for the patients and not the staff right? So you don't like the end result...grow up and don't punish others for their opinions.

It just goes to show that a professional is willing to drive a wedge between himself and his patients instead of being accepting of the outcome. With this behavior, things will never change. I regret now not insisting on watching what I wanted too.

  1. Sorry but I would rather not see the tv BS anyhow.
Lately it has only consisted of the MSM bashing Trump and I am tired of hearing it.

  2. Why do you care about what SU does with it's student counseling services? Further, your assumption on the Dentist you use is baseless and self centered. Maybe he/she just has the foresight to not participate either way and not offend either political leaning of his/her patients. Get a life, YOU are the one in a bubble.

  3. If you are that upset as a college student that you need counseling....u will never make it in the real world.

  4. Someone explain how this grief counseling over the election fulfills the flags SU put on poles stating their moto? Where is this money coming from? This is not a SU education problem that their counseling is for. This is an immature selfish problem.

  5. To all come together is to discuss our concerns. Bring all together as one. By not saying someone has the foresight to not participate either way.....well shows its not about offending people...but not accepting the truth. You can't hide from it...it is everywhere and will be talked about for years to come.

  6. They also have chalking on campus that says #unapologeticallyblack and 'Am I Next". After the email sent out to students and then seeing the chalking, I am no longer proud to be an SU Alumni.

  7. Umm...it's not your TV and you don't own the office. Who said they supported Clinton? Many doctor's offices have this policy. Grow up!!

  9. I have quit watching the nightly news reports from any of the major networks. I can't stomach the daily lies and Trump bashing that has gone on even after the election. After CBS news bashed white males and non college educated white males and whites in general as racists and the problem as to why Hillary did not get elected, I will no longer get my new from them. Plenty of other media sources out there. I've had enough of their BS!

  10. This is hilarious! A patient is upset because an office is not run the way HE likes it. They are just assuming that they don't like Trump. LOL!!

  12. I think that the commenter got everything they wanted as a child and still throws temper tantrums as an adult. :-)

  13. This is my favorite line from the commenter's post---"So you don't like the end result...grow up and don't punish others for their opinions." That is exactly what you are doing for decisions that are made in that place of business.

  14. If SU is encouraging any sort of protest or continued counseling, I will immediately discontinue my monetary gifts to the college. It's outrageous. These people are adults. This is our democratic system. If you don't like it, you have two years for the next Governor election and four for the next president. Make a plan - get involved. Stop whining and accept the results. How do you think the other half of Americans felt when Obama won, not only once, but twice !!

  15. This person is a crybaby. Mad at the dentist for not pushing politics in the office. Whiner.

  16. Really don't think SU will miss that $25 annual Alumni dues payment 12:57. Get over yourself.

  17. From what I get from this is that the dentist is a Democrat and did not want to hear all about the win the next day. It's their office but I can see if the patient has never been told before they cannot change the channel then it's obviously the dentists problem. I am sure that that patient pays for the cable bill.
