WARNING: CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY BEFORE YOU REMOVE TREES

There have been many tress come down throughout the Shore. I have dealt with this in the past, so listen carefully. DO NOT remove trees that may have caused damage to a vehicle, business or home.

IF you want to put a claim on your insurance, they have to confirm the damage and they will NOT repay you to hire a company to remove the debris/tree until they have confirmed it first.

  2. Where the tree falls so on another property, that home owner is responsible for removing the tree. IE my tree falls over onto my neighbor's property, their insurance will cover it.

  3. @3:17 they will cover it and then come after the home owner whose property the tree was on especially if the tree was dead!

  4. If the tree has any green (ie, it's living), it's an Act of God and their insurance will cover it.

With *any* insurance claim, take lots of pictures. They're very handy. I was in a car accident covered by Salisbury News. I had to go to the hospital, so pictures weren't really on my mind. But sharing the link to here with the adjuster made the claim a lot easier. They didn't even care to see the pics of my car at the tow company's lot.

  5. This is Strange----Had this happen a few years ago,
Have had Peninsula Ins. for years.
Our tree tore our guttering down & we had
a heck of a mess to get the huge tree completely
    out of the ground,
    cleaned up & carried away.
We called the Ins .co when it happened.
THEY SAID WE WERE "NOT COVERED" FOR THIS BECAUSE
" IT WAS AN ACT OF GOD "
Who do we believe anymore, anyway? !
