  4. This has been going on for the last at least 30 years! One of my coworkers, in the or at PRMC, greeted her patient with this statement! Congratulations, you are the first balcony jumper who has survived this year! Never let my kids work there! I am so not sorry!

  5. Somehow ocean city will fine the individual. All the new restrictions. I bet we will see a death fine. If you die in the town you'll be fined for it.

  6. It's cruising weekend. And it's raining. Nothing else to do but drink and party and we all know Ocean City has a bar on every corner so...not a family resort, no matter what that mayor trys to purport. I'm sorry for the families.

  12. It's not the Gateway Grand if the hotel was on 22nd & The Beach. It's just "The Grand". The Gateway is on 49th.
The Grand is also known for some pretty lax rules and some very rowdy clients.

    1. Maybe in the past, but not now. Grand is now under new mgmnt as of a few weeks ago. Big changes, all for the better. This was not from someone being rowdy. Enuf said.

  15. Please have some respect, and keep your condescending, judmental, narrow minded comments to yourselves. He was a son, brother, uncle, friend, grandson. Our family is mourning the loss of this young man. Turn the tables...had this been someone you know, or love...you would want the same for them.

  17. Every last one of you is disgusting. Except for the one who actually is praying for the family of the deceased. Shame on you all. A person died, regardless of the cause. I see you're all anonymous too. Smart.

If you don't want to see 'rude' comments I would suggest you not come to this site or read the comments. It doesn't matter if he WAS your most beloved friend, family member or not. It is something that happens in OC a lot. He is just another statistic now. Sorry for you loss and all that but you can't come on here and try to silence people.

That is everyone's first amendment right, even if it offends you. I just hate it when people tell others to keep things to themselves. And in this case it is not something that is spoken, ti is written on a blog. You voluntary came here and clicked on comments. What did you expect?

I don't think anyone is intentionally trying to be mean to him or you. So in the future, don't go somewhere where you might be offended.

Have a nice day and sorry for you loss.

  30. I just don't understand how you FALL off a balcony when there are guard rails unless your doing something your NOT suppose to be doing !!! They make it safe so people don't fall off , & someone how people still manage to do shit they aren't suppose to be doing !!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I wonder if he was leaning on the rail and it came loose or something. When my kids were little my hubby thiught I was nuts cuz I wouldn't let them on the balconies at hotels for this very reason

    ReplyDelete
  32. I was at the Hotel when I happened. I talked to someone who saw it happen. So many assumptions on here. So very sad regardless of why it happened. People should be more considerate of the deceased man's family and friends regardless of the reason he fell. Prayers to them and may he RIP.

  33. 1131 if the person starts by stating the first amendment it usually follows with hate...

  34. It's irrelevant what people say on here. Jordan was a good guy and a sweetheart. Regardless of what happened or how, he will be remembered with love and miss by many. RIP J. We love you dude.

  35. If only any of you an your nasty assumptions could have gotten the chance to know the man!! Im so lucky to have been able to know him an have the most fantastic memories!! You will always be missed an never forgotten hess! Love you man

  36. Though it is tragic and heartbreaking this scenario in OC is a common occurrence yearly. The fact is it almost 100% always due to alcohol. to the prior post what EXACTLY IS THE correspondence with OC and family values and entertainment??? The whole city is geared and driven by alcohol related agendas. Good grief now secrets is in the distillery business

    ReplyDelete
  37. Could raising the height of balcony railings in OC help with preventing tragedies such as this? Even one life saved is worth it.

  38. To those of you who lost your friend, Jordan, I am sorry for your loss. I am praying for his family and friends affected by this tragedy.

  39. how the hell do you even have the heart to say that to a family who just lost someone so dearly to them.. this page might be a place to state your opinions but not with this certain subject. you have no right to "voice your opinion" on a guy you didn't even know to a family member of the guy.. just blows my mind how fucking rude some people can be. you have to be pretty messed up in the head to think what you said was okay to say to someone who just lost a family memember. this is why people do things like this. I'm so sorry your mother never taught you maners, lol seriously dude. so sorry for the families loss, wish I could do more to help..

  40. Very sad for the familiesMay 22, 2016 at 2:58 PM

I pull security duty in Ocean City Maryland...

Although I am not saying JORDAN did this, but it is fairly common for folks to "Balcony Jump" for tricks and giggles...

I have stopped many folks from "Balcony Jumping" to prevent falls like this.

  44. Once again humanity dissapoints. Why are people so angry they can turn a tragedy (no matter the cause) into a full blown bitch fest. It's sad and disgusting. To the friends and family of the deceased, I'm sorry for your loss and my sympathies to you for all the anger and unkindness expressed here. I pray you find some peace somehow.
