The Impossible Co-Bubbles: Stocks and Bonds

In the past, readers have been alerted to numerous “impossible” trends in our markets and economies, all manufactured by the Western banking crime syndicate . Here are just a few of those highlights (low-lights?)

a) It’s impossible for Western bond prices to be at all-time highs. Western nations have never been less-solvent (i.e. obviously bankrupt). The less-solvent the debtor, the higher the rate of interest the debtor is (supposed to be) forced to pay, and bond prices and interest rates are precisely inverse to each other. Interest rates should be at all-time highs, bond prices should be at all-time lows. Obvious fraud.

b) It’s impossible for our markets to move like one, gigantic, synchronized yo-yo, every minute of every hour of every day. Markets diverge, it’s what they do. When we see prices move together in near-perfect clockwork, we know we no longer have “markets”. Obvious fraud.
c) It’s impossible for precious metals prices to fall below the cost of production – and stay there – with large supply-deficits in both the gold and silver market. There is literally only one, possible “cure” for a supply-deficit: higher prices. These markets are being (permanently) prevented from doing what they must do. Obvious fraud.

Note also that all of these “impossible” trends are separate from the multi-billion and multi-trillion dollar mega-crimes which these same financial criminals are caught perpetrating, on a near-daily basis (and are allowed to continue to perpetrate):

1) They were caught conspiring to serially rig the $500 trillion LIBOR debt market.

2) They were caught conspiring to serially rig the $5 trillion/day global currency market.

3) They were caught conspiring to serially rig the “gold fix”.

4) They were caught conspiring to serially rig the “silver fix”.

5) They were caught conspiring to serially rig base metals markets.

6) They were caught conspiring to serially launder $TRILLIONS for the drug cartels and “terrorist” organizations. Isn’t there supposed to be a “War on Drugs”? Isn’t there supposed to be a “War on Terror”? Why do these criminals get a free pass?

[Meanwhile, the Lemmings continue to scoff at “conspiracy theories”.]

But all of these “impossible” (i.e. fraudulent) developments in our economies, and all these mega-crimes that are swept under the carpet by our puppet governments pale in significance next to the greatest impossibility/insanity of all: the co-bubbles in Western stocks and bonds, and more specifically the incredibly gigantic (simultaneous) stock- bubble and bond-bubble in the U.S.

Stock prices and bond prices can never rise together, in any legitimate marketplace. Period.

Body stolen from casket at Texas funeral home

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The corpse of a 25-year-old woman was stolen from inside of a San Antonio funeral home last week, police say.

According to investigators, the body of Julie Mott was taken from her casket at Mission Parks Funeral Chapel North after her service on Aug. 15.

"It's really quite concerning," said San Antonio police Sgt. Javier Salazar. "We are hoping that the public may be able to help assist us."

Salazar said that after Mott's service ended around 1:30 p.m., a casket with her remains was taken into a private visitation area in the back of the funeral home. The funeral home was locked up and secured around 4:30 p.m.

When They Asked Jeff Foxworthy To Describe Obama, They NEVER Thought He’d Say THIS

Jeff Foxworthy is a hilarious comedian who has been making us laugh for years on shows like The Jeff Fox Worthy Show and Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? A proud member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Foxworthy is known for being unafraid to express his conservative views.

According to The Political Insider, Foxworthy was recently asked by a fan to describe President Obama, and the comedian didn’t hold back with his response. Here’s what Foxworthy had to say about what Obama has done to America on his Facebook page:

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

Pentagon: China's Man-made Islands Growing

China has built up and reclaimed even more land in the South China Sea than previously thought -- with an archipelago of man-made islands now spanning 2,900 acres, according to a new Pentagon report released Friday.

The size of China's artificial island territory in the disputed waters represents a 50 percent jump over the most recent estimate of 2,000 acres.

Since Chinese land reclamation efforts began in December 2013, the country has reclaimed land at seven of its eight Spratly Island outposts and, as of June 2015, had reclaimed more than 2,900 acres of land, according to the Asia-Pacific Maritime Security Strategy report released Friday.

Although land reclamation – the dredging of the sea floor material for use as land – is not new or even unique in the South China Sea, “China’s recent land reclamation campaign significantly outweighs other efforts in size, pace and nature,” the report states. By comparison, Vietnam has reclaimed a total of 80 acres and Taiwan has eight acres near the airstrip on its sole outpost on Aba Island.

Before this year, defense officials thought Beijing had only reclaimed about 500 acres of landmass to build the artificial islands. However, the lands are now big enough for buildings and equipment. The Pentagon report warned the infrastructure would allow China to have a "more robust power projection" in the South China Sea. Citing China's own statements the outposts "will have a military component," the report also said China is completing the construction of an airstrip.

The report said China may, then, be able to use the outposts as an alternative airstrip for "carrier-based aircraft," allowing China "to conduct sustained operations with aircraft carriers in the area."

Poll: 64 Percent of Likely Black Voters Agree – ‘All Lives Matter’

All lives matter. At least, that’s what the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows most Likely U.S. Voters believe.

According to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey published August 20, 2015, when asked, “Which statement is closest to your own—black lives matter or all lives matter? Or does neither statement reflect your point of view?” Seventy-eight percent (78%) of “Likely U.S. Voters said ‘all lives matter.’”

Despite the consistent leftist media narrative, a mere eleven percent (11%) say “black lives matter” reflects their views, and nine percent (9%) “say that neither statement reflects their point of view. (To see survey question wording, click here.)”

The survey gets even more interesting when it is broken down demographically.

According to the survey, only “thirty-one percent (31%) of black voters say black lives matter is closest to their own views … .” Ten percent (10%) of minority voters and nine percent (9%) of whites say that black lives matter is closest to their own views.

Meanwhile, a whopping sixty-four percent of blacks say “all lives matter” is closest to their own views, with eighty-one percent (81%) of whites and seventy-six percent (76%) of other minority voters in agreement.

Likely U.S. Voters, it seems, are also quite skeptical of politicians who deal with racial issues.

Maryland Insurance Administration investigating $20,000-$40,000 air ambulance bills

The Maryland Insurance Administration is investigating a string of consumer complaints about air ambulance bills in excess of $20,000 that the state insurance commissioner described as exorbitant.

These complaints represent a fraction of the roughly 3,700 trips air ambulances make a year. But the size of the bills a few patients have received — between $20,000 and $40,000 — has caught the attention of Maryland Insurance Commissioner Al Redmer Jr. He has called a Sept. 18 public meeting with hospitals, insurers and other stakeholders to discuss the issue and possible ways to resolve it.

“We will get involved based on the severity or based on the frequency,” Redmer said. “With this specific issue the severity is enough that the frequency is almost irrelevant.”

CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, A COAST GUARD COMMUNITY

by Petty Officer 2nd Class Nate Littlejohn

An oysterman in a weather-beaten skiff prepares to tend his beds as a blood-orange sun peeks over the Atlantic horizon. A herd of wild ponies drink in a freshwater wetland where buffleheads and mallards hunt for breakfast among reeds on the glistening, glass surface. Laughing gulls fight over a jackknife clam, their cries muffled by the sound of crashing surf pummeling the sand.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia, making up the southernmost portion of the Delmarva Peninsula, is an isolated, often-overlooked stretch of land between southern Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Chincoteague, Virginia, a small island community teeming with maritime culture located just south of the Maryland border off Virginia’s Eastern Shore, is one special place the Coast Guard calls home. Locals there are passionate about their town, customs and history. As it turns out, this often means they’re passionate about the Coast Guard – the seagoing service has been a seam in the social fabric there for generations.

The spirit of honoring past Coast Guardsmen in the Chincoteague area helped prompt the National Park Service to promote preservation of the old Coast Guard station located on neighboring Assateague Island.

The Assateague Beach Coast Guard Station, located at Tom’s Cove, was constructed in 1922. The structure served as the Coast Guard Station for the area until it was decommissioned in 1967 and became part of the Assateague Island National Seashore.

Can the States Seize Control of Federal Lands?

The term “Sagebrush Rebellion” is again showing up in newspapers across the American west as states seek more control over federal lands within their own boundaries. As with the original Sagebrush Rebellion of the 1970s and 1980s, several western states, where the federal government owns well over one-third of land within the states, have begun to look to more local control of lands as an answer to federal indifference, mismanagement, and outright hostility. In at least one case — Utah — the state has initiated a lawsuitin an effort to wrest more control of lands out of federal hands.

The Los Angeles Times, in the socio-economic basket case known as California, dismissed the idea outright in an unsigned editorial, declaring the idea to be an affront against unfairly maligned federal supremacy. The Denver Post, meanwhile, offered last month a more evenhanded assessment, suggesting that the cost to the state of maintaining public lands — in the form of fire-fighting, forestry, and more — is too high to be worth it.
Why Now?

Federal control of lands within states has long been a source of contention between states and the federal government.

EIGHTEENTH CENTURY SHIPWRECK DISCOVERED IN THE NANTICOKE RIVER

Archaeologists Estimate Ship One of Maryland’s
Oldest Ever Recovered

(August 24, 2015) - During the repair of the US 50 Bridge over the Nanticoke River, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) discovered an 18th century shipwreck in the water. SHA was removing debris from under the bridge when workers realized some of the wood may be ship timbers.

The crew notified SHA’s archaeologists who found that an intact keel, frames and other ship timbers had been lifted from the river and placed on the construction barge. The team transferred the shipwreck to the Maryland Archaeology Conservation Laboratory in Calvert County for stabilization and temporary storage.

Treenails (wooden pegs) held the ship together which showed other attributes of early building including few iron fasteners. Although the shipwreck is in pieces after being raised from the 30 ft. deep water, the timber is in good condition with saw marks and curious carved symbols still visible in the wood.

The growth rings in the wood’s timber showed the ship was primarily constructed of oak cut from trees along the coastline of the central Chesapeake Bay, between the Potomac River and Annapolis. She was likely built in Maryland at a small shipyard or plantation and may represent an early stage in the evolution towards the Chesapeake Bay cargo carrying pilot schooner and eventually, the famed Baltimore Clipper. Archaeologists have determined this was a merchant ship that measured up to 45 ft in length. The 18th century construction date would make it one of the oldest Maryland built shipwrecks discovered.

“The inadvertent discovery of this shipwreck is an amazing opportunity to study early maritime history. It reminds us how Marylanders used to move goods and people across the region. It’s not every day we get to touch a shipwreck built more than 200 years ago,” said Dr. Julie Schablitsky, SHA Chief Archaeologist.

The next step is to determine what to do with the shipwreck and how to share the discovery with the public. SHA documented the timbers with a 3D Laser scanner and it is now possible to at least virtually reconstruct what she looked like before coming to rest on the bottom of the Nanticoke. How she got there is still a mystery.

Americans, Briton who thwarted attack get France’s top honor

PARIS (AP) — The president of France pinned his country’s highest award, the Legion d’Honneur, on three Americans and a Briton on Monday, saying they “gave a lesson in courage” by subduing a heavily armed attacker on a high-speed train carrying 500 passengers to Paris.

President Francois Hollande said that while two of the Americans who tackled the gunman were soldiers, “on Friday you were simply passengers. You behaved as soldiers but also as responsible men.”

Hollande then pinned the medals on U.S. Airman Spencer Stone, National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, and their longtime friend Anthony Sadler. All took part in subduing the gunman as he moved through the Amsterdam-to-Paris train with an assault rifle strapped to his bare chest. British businessman Chris Norman, who jumped into the fray, also received the medal.

Mine’s Owner Tried To Keep EPA Out But Was Threatened With Fines

DENVER — The owner of the Colorado’s Gold King Mine says he tried to stop the Environmental Protection Agency from gaining access to his property, but that he relented after the agency threatened to pound him with ruinous fines if he refused.

Mine owner Todd Hennis said that he had little choice four years ago but to allow in an EPA-led crew, which triggered the Aug. 5 blowout that sent 3 million gallons of toxic orange wastewater down the Animas River.

“When you are a small guy and you’re having a $35,000 a day fine accrue against you, you have to run up the white flag,” Mr. Hennis told CBS4 in Denver.

Mr. Hennis said he opposed having the EPA investigate leakage from the inactive mine near Silverton, Colorado, because he had tangled with the agency in previous years over its work at another mine he owns in Leadville, Colorado.

“I said, ‘No, I don’t want you on my land out of fear that you will create additional pollution like you did in Leadville,’” Mr. Hennis told Colorado Watchdog.org. “They said, ‘If you don’t give us access within four days, we will fine you $35,000 a day.’”

The EPA has admitted that its agents accidentally unleashed the acidic flood, which has since contaminated the San Juan River in New Mexico and seeped into Lake Powell in Utah, albeit in very low concentrations.

Satan worshipers drown women with milk in Planned Parenthood counter-protest

Satan worshipers launched a counter-protest against pro-lifers outside the Detriot and Ferndale, Michigan Planned Parenthood locations Saturday.

Clad in black robes, members of the Satanic Temple of Detriot drenched bound women with milk, simulating water-boarding to "illustrate the theocratic agenda imposed upon female bodies." The milk symbolized breast milk, one of the protest organizers explained on Facebook.

The group attached a symbol of their temple to the American flag and held up a sign that read, "America is not a theocracy. End forced motherhood."

At one point during the protest, a man claiming to be a sheriff unsuccessfully attempted to move the Satan worshippers along.

A Special Prosecutor For Hillary’s Special Emails

When President Obama signed the Obamacare bill into law, Vice President Joe Biden said, sotto voce, “this is a big (expletive deleted) deal.” So it was. Hillary Clinton’s private email system, on which she trafficked in many of the nation’s most closely guarded secrets, is just as big.

Start with the purpose for which Mrs. Clinton established the system. It was to prevent the government — and any historians, journalists and the public — from knowing of and archiving her emails in order for her to evade accountability. The emails to hdr22@clintonmail.com would only be revealed if she agreed, and whatever corruption — remember the Clinton “pay-to-play” Foundation — would never be revealed.

Mrs. Clinton still says she never sent or received classified information on her private nongovernment email system. That more than 300 emails with highly classified information are now identified bothers her not at all.

But many more questions arise than we have answers to, or are ever likely to get.

First, consider how the email system had to have worked.

Ants 'Self-medicate' By Changing Diet When They Are Sick

It appears that ants, usually seen as the ultimate self-sacrificing workers, are also not bad at saving their own skins.

Scientists have shown that ants with a life-threatening fungus are able to "self-medicate", eating a normally harmful substance that treats the condition.

This form of "self-medication" in insects has been suspected in research circles but has never been proven until now, raising questions about how the ant "knows" it is sick.

Researchers at the University of Helsinki in Finland showed that ants infected with the fungus Beauveria bassiana would choose to eat small doses of hydrogen peroxide, which had been proven to reduce their deaths by at least 15 per cent.

The fact that most healthy ants gave the poison a wide berth - since it usually caused a 20 per cent mortality rate - appeared to show that sick ants knew the poison would help them recover.

Depending on how strong the toxic solution was, the infected ants would also either choose to eat the poison as often as normal food, or only a quarter of the time, showing they were "careful" about their selecting their doses.

Cops Told to Scrub National Motto From Patrol Cars

Atheists warn law-enforcement agencies to remove 'In God We Trust'

An atheist organization has dispatched letters to 17 law-enforcement agencies across a half a dozen states telling them to take the words of the national motto, “In God We Trust,” off their officers’ vehicles.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation sent the letters, protesting that the message is one of “exclusion” for people who identify as nonreligious.

“Spending taxpayer time placing religious messages on patrol cars is beyond the scope of secular government. Further, in a time when citizens nationwide are increasingly distrustful of police actions, it is frightening and politically dubious to announce to citizens that law enforcement officers rely on the judgment of a deity rather than on the judgment of the law,” said Annie Laurie Gaylor, an executive for the group.

The Alliance Defending Freedom, however, sent letters to the same agencies advising them not to worry because they have a right to display the motto.

“You recently received a letter from Freedom From Religion Foundation objecting to the decision by members of your department to display our national motto – ‘In God We Trust’ – on department vehicles,” the letters explain. “FFRF wrongly claims that it is ‘inappropriate’ for members of your team ‘to promote their religious views’ by displaying our national motto.

“We write to inform you that it does not violate the First Amendment for your team to continue displaying the national motto on department vehicles and to offer our assistance if FFRF or any other atheist group threatens your department with litigation over the use of ‘In God We Trust.’”

Ted Cruz Grapples With Actress Ellen Page Over Gay Rights

Sen. Ted Cruz and actress Ellen Page locked horns in Iowa Friday, jousting over the issue of protecting religious liberty from gay rights activists.

According to the Daily Caller, Page was on location for a Vice Media project when she asked the conservative GOP presidential candidate, "what about the question about LGBT people being fired for being gay-trans?"

"Well, what we’re seeing right now, we’re seeing Bible-believing Christians being persecuted for living according to their faith," Cruz answered.

"You’re discriminating against LGBT people… Would you use that argument in segregation?" Page pressed.

Cruz argues Christian business owners are being asked to violate their beliefs by providing services to those seeking same-sex weddings, the Wall Street Journal notes, while Page, who's made public that she is a lesbian, counters that similar arguments once were used to deny services to racial minorities.

According to the Des Moines Register, Page also asked Cruz about the persecution gays and lesbians face in other countries. And Cruz – apparently unaware he was arguing with the "Juno" and "Inception" actress – countered there was no moral equivalency between instances in Jamaica with those in the Middle East, where Islamic terrorists have persecuted Christians.

The Register posted that part of the encounter:

Iran's New Launcher 'Paves Way for Longest Range Missiles'

Iran unveiled on Saturday its new Fateh 313 surface-to-surface missile with a 500 kilometer (300 mile) range, as well as its massive 27-meter tall Simorgh satellite launcher, which one expert says may pave its way to intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).

Tal Inbar, Head of the Fisher Institute for Air & Space Strategic Studies' Space Research Center, told Arutz Sheva on Saturday night that an analysis of the pictures of the new launcher reveals a great likeness to North Korea's satellite launcher technology.

"This rocket will allow Iran to launch satellites double the weight it is currently able to, and additionally it will bring it closer to expertise in the needed technologies for developing especially long-ranged ballistic missiles up to intercontinental ranges," said Inbar.

The expert appraised that Iran's unveiling of the Fateh 313 is meant to be a message to its rivals in the Persian Gulf such as Saudi Arabia, and also a warning to Israel that it may transfer the advanced new missiles to its terror proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.

A poor way to fight poverty

The War on Poverty did not increase self-sufficiency

It’s been 50 years now since the federal government launched its “War on Poverty.” But the numbers just released by the Census Bureausuggest we’re in a losing battle.

The poverty rate now stands at 14.5 percent. That’s a drop from the previous rate of 15 percent. But don’t celebrate too quickly. The new rate is almost exactly the poverty rate we had in 1967, only three years after President Lyndon Johnson announced his war.

To put it in further perspective: The poverty rate in 1950 was 32.2 percent. It dropped steadily throughout the ‘50s, and had been nearly cut in half before the War on Poverty began. After that, the rate declined slightly, then leveled out.

That was $22 trillion ago. That’s right, trillion with a “t.” A 22 with 12 zeros behind it. To understand how much that is, if you laid a trillion $1 bills end to end, they would reach the sun. Now multiply that by 22. That’s enough for 11 round trips.

In short, it’s a lot of money. Yet the poverty rate is essentially the same as it was 50 years ago.

Gay-Rights Groups Back Call for Decriminalizing Sex Trade

Gay-rights groups are supporting Amnesty International's call for decriminalizing prostitution.

"For many LGBT people, participation in street economies is often critical to survival, particularly for LGBT youth and transgender women of color who face all-too-common family rejection and vastly disproportionate rates of violence, homelessness, and discrimination," the groups said in a statement on Thursday.

The effort was reported by The Christian Post.

"Laws criminalizing sexual exchange — whether by the seller or the buyer — impede sex workers' ability to negotiate condom use and other boundaries, and force many to work in hidden or remote places where they are more vulnerable to violence," the statement said.

More babies need treatment for drug addiction

BALTIMORE —As heroin and opiate abuse continues to grip the nation, a generation of babies are starting life as unwilling addicts and their admissions to neonatal intensive care units are increasing.

The Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore is one of the places babies born addicted to heroin and opiates go to essentially get off of the drugs, but usually, they must take more drugs before that happens.

Mathias spends much of her time caring for babies addicted to the methadone the mothers took while pregnant.

Chinese 'Birth Tourism' In U.S. Strong

Peter and Ellie Yang, by all outward appearances, are living the Beijing dream. They have a condo in an up-and-coming area, a white Honda that Peter keeps immaculate and a rambunctious one-year-old son, Xiongxiong. They wear brand-name jeans and own separate iPhone 6s. On holidays, they go to Sanya — “China’s Hawaii” — as well as Hong Kong and Japan. On weekends, they eat out and take hikes in the Fragrant Hills outside Beijing. It’s enough to make them the envy of many.

But when Ellie found out she was pregnant in 2014, Peter said he wanted to have their second child in America. “It’s for him to get a good education,” Peter says. “But it’s also for us — to find business opportunities and to make friends. Chinese who do this tend to be well-connected.”

Peter began researching maternity hotels that operate within the underground birth tourism industry. He chatted with sales agents and scanned large photos on forums like LA Fat Dad, USA Baby DIY and America Baby Home.

SIDEWALK UPGRADES UNDERWAY IN CRISFIELD

New ADA-Compliant Pedestrian Pathway Benefits
Businesses, Residents and Tourists in Historic
Water-Oriented Somerset County Community

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) continues to improve pedestrian access and safety in Eastern Shore communities. Work is now under way in Somerset County’s town of Crisfield to replace deteriorated sidewalks and bring pedestrian pathways up to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

SHA is upgrading all sidewalks along a 1.5 mile stretch of MD 413 (Maryland Avenue/Richardson Avenue/West Main Street) from the Crisfield City Dock to Mill Lane. Work includes removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter and installation of new ramps and detectable warning surfaces.

Motorists should expect daytime shoulder closures for most of the project with occasional left lane closures for median work. SHA expects to complete the project by spring 2016. Another Staged Racist Attack

Authorities say a Richmond man lied to them during an Indiana State Police investigation into a truck fire and racist message spray painted on his home, according to court documents filed this week.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday filed charges against the husband of a plastic surgeon regarding a February incident at their Richmond home.

Jonathan Powell was charged with two counts of false informing (both Class B misdemeanors). A warrant for Powell’s arrest was issued Friday.

Richmond Police and the Richmond Fire Department responded to the home of Powell and Dr. Myla Bennett shortly after 5 a.m. on Feb. 24. When they arrived at the home, they found a pickup fully engulfed in flames in the home’s driveway and racist graffiti on the home’s garage doors.

The graffiti said, “Move n----r Dr.” on the larger garage door and on a smaller garage door. They attributed the message to a hate group.

Mike Davis, RFD’s chief of fire prevention, was able to find the origin of the fire but ruled the cause as undetermined.

On March 24, ISP received an anonymous tip that Powell had approached Jim Delucio about burning the truck, according to the affidavit.

Delucio admitted to police Powell had asked him to torch the truck, but Delucio told police he declined the request, according to the affidavit. Delucio told police that when he asked Powell why he wanted him to torch the truck, Powell responded that "he wanted a different truck."

Charges have not been filed against Delucio.

Massive National Protest Against Planned Parenthood

Thousands of pro-lifers turned out in U.S. cities nationwide Saturday for a massive show of opposition against Planned Parenthood, an event billed as the largest simultaneous protest ever aimed at the embattled abortion and health-care provider.

#ProtestPP, the coalition of pro-life groups sponsoring the event, reported that at least 314 protests took place in almost every state and the District of Columbia, as well as a handful of international venues, including Dublin, Ireland.

The hashtag #ProtestPP was also the top U.S. trender on Twitter for most of Saturday after the morning protests began.

The impetus: A series of undercover videos released since July 14 by the pro-life Center for Medical Progress, which exposed Planned Parenthood’s involvement in procuring fetal tissue and organs from abortions used for medical research.

“I see the tide changing in our country,” Jeff Medders, pastor of the Redeemer Church in Houston, told ABC 13. “For me it was really out of sight, out of mind, and then I saw these videos and thought, ‘I can’t be the same anymore.’ “

The videos include footage of Planned Parenthood officials haggling over the price of fetal organs such as hearts and brains, although the organization has insisted that it only charges for reimbursement costs related to transportation and storage, which is legal under federal law.

The rallies, held mostly outside Planned Parenthood affiliates, drew anywhere from a few dozen to more than 1,000 participants. Speakers included evangelical pastors, Catholic priests and pro-life advocates, according to posts on social media and local news reports.

School Band Told to Stop Performing 'How Great Thou Art'

There was no halftime show under the Friday night lights at Mississippi’s Brandon High School — the marching band had been benched.

The band was ordered off the field because the Christian hymn “How Great Thou Art” was a part of their halftime show — in violation of a federal court order.

“The Rankin County School Board and District Office are very saddened students will not be able to perform their halftime show they have worked so hard on this summer,” the district wrote in a statement to the Clarion Ledger newspaper.

In 2013 a student sued the district over a series of Christian meetings that had been held on school property, the newspaper reported. The district later settled the lawsuit and acknowledged they had violated the student’s First Amendment rights.

In July, U.S. District Court Judge Carlton Reeves ruled the district had violated the agreement after a Christian minister delivered a prayer at an awards ceremony.

Judge Reeves, who was appointed to the bench by President Obama, came down hard on the school district — ordering them to pay thousands of dollars in fines. He also warned the district that future violations would cost them $10,000.

“Defendants are permanently enjoined from including prayer, religious sermons or activities in any school sponsored event including but not limited to assemblies, graduations, award ceremonies, athletic events and any other school event,” the order reads.

Police: Angry Md. motorist beats cyclist, throws bike tire into woods

WASHINGTON — A crash between a bicycle and a SUV in Davidsonville, Maryland escalated into a road rage incident, leaving the bike rider with a broken arm and rib, Anne Arundel County police said.

The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. Saturday at St. George Barber and Governors Bridge Roads.

Police said the cyclist was riding south on St. George Barber, approaching Governors Bridge, when an SUV approached behind him. As the vehicle drew closer, the cyclist waved him to pass, police said.

Upon reaching a curve in the roadway, the cyclist traveled to the middle of the road in order to be visible to oncoming traffic and to block the SUV from passing on this curve.

Justin Gregoli City Council District 2

I AM YOU!!

I am no more, no less than everyone else in the city of Salisbury MD. We all want the same things. We want less crime, better jobs, better education, and safety for our families, property values protected, financial waste to stop and so on.

Obviously the way it has been going has been failing. WE NEED CHANGE! AND WE NEED IT NOW!

My career has been in managing people and business for over 25 years and a city is a business, do not be fooled a city needs leaders that understand business and profit and loss. Just like a business loss (deficit) will create failure and profit (surplus) will create security, safety and prosperity if applied correctly.

In order to attract better jobs and opportunities we need to attract companies that have what we need, higher paying, and higher skilled positions. Fast food and retail just do not sustain growth, safety and prosperity. We have lost a large amount of businesses that would give this city those types of jobs to other cities around the country that want them and promote themselves to attract these types of companies. We need to give these companies a reason to want to come here.

Our city is having issues with crime like at no other time in its history. First and foremost this has to stop!! We need to find ways to reduce this crime and the issues that follow in its direct path. Crime destroys communities quicker than any other period. Businesses do not want to be in high crime areas (less jobs), people will not buy a home in a high crime area (less property value), policing gets overwhelmed, and fellow citizens will not self-police out of fear (less safety). There is not one issue facing Salisbury that is more important than crime reduction.

Financial waste is a problem that we all have seen in our lives when it comes to government selections on spending, there are many reasons for this but it simply isn’t needed to get our city to where it needs to be. We need to find ways to stop the waste, stop over taxing our citizens to death, destroying property values and start spending smartly on the things that improve the city’s future. That increase home ownership and lowers the rental properties throughout the city. We need a reason for investment from the people that live here. Rental properties that have a single family, not many families. Rental properties that are at a standard that promotes safety and value to its neighbors. We are considered a college town and as such we will have student rentals but it needs to be managed better.

Let me give you a little about me, I am a single dad of six children ages from 8 through 21. Four of my children live with me, the other two are out on their own. My children are the reason I am doing this, I want them to live in a place that is safe and where there children can be safe. A place they can have a successful career and purchase a home and expect that the value will go up instead of down, where they can raise a family in safety and security.

I am a conservative and not in name only, I am not politically correct, I will tell what I feel or believe, I will not agree with everyone and not everyone will agree with me. My mission is to be me and to be no one else.

I have no financial interests whatsoever in this city, no money to gain by being on this council, if it is a good decision, it is good for the people not just for myself and if it is a bad decision then it is a bad decision plain and simple. We need people that speak for the people and not for personal or political gain.

I am currently employed as the manager of Precision Tune Auto Care here in Salisbury and you can feel welcome to visit me anytime.

If you have questions, I will answer any and all. You can contact me at

EPA Was Aware of 'Blowout' Risk At Colorado Mine

Managers at the Environmental Protection Agency were aware of the possible risk for a catastrophic “blowout” at an abandoned mine that could release “large volumes” of wastewater laced with toxic metals, according to internal documents released late Friday.

EPA released the documents following weeks of prodding from news organizations like The Associated Press. EPA and contract workers accidentally unleashed 3 million gallons of contaminated wastewater on Aug. 5 as they inspected the idled Gold King Mine near Silverton, Colorado.

Among the documents is a June 2014 work order for a planned cleanup that noted that the old mine had not been accessible since 1995, when the entrance partially collapsed. The plan appears to have been produced by Environmental Restoration, a private contractor working for EPA.

"This condition has likely caused impounding of water behind the collapse," the report says. "ln addition, other collapses within the workings may have occurred creating additional water impounding conditions. Conditions may exist that could result in a blowout of the blockages and cause a release of large volumes of contaminated mine waters and sediment from inside the mine, which contain concentrated heavy metals."

A May 2015 action plan for the mine also notes the potential for a blowout.

7 Million People Haven't Made A Single Student Loan Payment In At Least A Year

Perhaps it’s all the talk about across-the-board debt forgiveness or maybe the total amount of outstanding student debt has simply grown so large ($1.3 trillion) that even those with no conception of how much money that actually is realize that it’s simply never going to paid back so there’s no point worrying about, but whatever the case, the general level of concern regarding America’s student debt bubble doesn’t seem to be at all commensurate with the size of the problem.

And it’s not just the sheer size of the debt pile that’s worrisome. There’s also the knock-on effects, such as delayed household formation and the attendant downward pressure on the homeownership rate, and of course hyperinflation in the rental market.

Of course one reason no one is panicking - yet - is that the severity of the problem is masked by artificially suppressed delinquency rates. As we’ve documented in excruciating detail, if one excludes loans in deferment and forbearance from the numerator in the delinquency calculation, but includes those loans in the denominator then the delinquency rate will be deceptively low. In any event, as WSJ reports, even if one looks at something very simple like, say, the number of borrowers who haven’t made a payment in a year, the picture is not pretty and it’s getting worse all the time. Sex for Opioids: A Hidden Epidemic

Young adult opioid users are often the victims of sexual violence, according to results of a survey of opioid users in New York City.

Among 164 men and women aged 18 to 29 years reporting heroin and/or nonmedical prescription opioid use, 41% of women and 11% of men reported being forced to have sex without their consent while they were using the drugs.

"Our results are alarming," lead author Lauren Jessell, LMSW, of the National Development and Research Institutes (NDRI) in New York City, told Medscape Medical News. "In our qualitative interviews with our participants, we were taken aback by how often we discovered they were involved in sexual violence."

The study by Pedro Mateu-Gelabert, PhD, principal investigator at NDRI and affiliate of New York University's Center for Drug Use and HIV Research (CDUHR), and colleagues was published online August 3 in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.

Quid Pro Quo

"Our findings describe a social setting in which opioids and other drugs are used that is conducive to sexual violence," they write. "The internalization of stigma associated with drug use and the negative sexual perceptions held about users contribute to a drug using culture with few social consequences for perpetrators of sexual violence and little support for those who are victimized."

The survey also revealed a quid pro quo expectation surrounding sex and drug use, with opioid users reporting that they have been in situations where they felt that someone expected them to have sex because they were using drugs together; 73% of women and 49% of men said this happened to them at least once.

"When drugs were provided free of cost to potential partners, there was an expectation that those receiving the drugs would provide sexual favors in return," Jessell notes in a news release. "Many users described fulfilling these implicit quid pro quo expectations with mostly men who have sex with men (MSM) and female users providing sexual favors to males who provided them with drugs."

In addition to implicit and explicit exchanges of sex for drugs, opioid users also described being sexually assaulted and seeing others unconscious as a result of drug users being sexually abused.

"Opioid users were at risk for sexual coercion, harassment, and/or assault if they did not fulfill the expectation that sex would occur in these situations," the researchers write.

"I think these findings really speak to the need for support and awareness about the issue of sexual violence among drug users. People who are using drugs at the time of an incident may be fearful of reporting it or receiving support," Jessell told Medscape Medical News.

The researchers note that the survey was conducted among New York City opioid users; it is possible that experiences of sexual violence in the context of opioid use may differ for young opioid users in more rural or less populated parts of the United States.

Sex for Drugs Not New

Commenting on the study for Medscape Medical News, Amanda Divin, PhD, assistant professor, Department of Health Sciences, Western Illinois University, in Macomb, noted that the participant eligibility requirements were "quite stringent." They had to be current users. "This gave the study's findings strength."

The fact that most of the participants reported that prescription opioid use preceded heroin use "lends support to prescription opioids being a gateway drug for harder drug use," added Dr Divin, who was not involved in the study.

"This whole idea of drug users trading sex for drugs is not a new phenomenon. In many ways, the increase in heroin use seen right now is similar to the rise and epidemic of crack use in the 1980s and 1990s, in that there is a lot of trading sex for drugs, high societal stigma, and potentially an increase in HIV/AIDS due to unsafe needle and sex practices," Dr Divin noted.

"Prescription opioid use, however, has historically been perceived as 'safe' and more socially acceptable, especially among young adults, than illicit drug use. Thus, the stigma perceived by prescription opioid users in this study may reflect a shift in social acceptance of prescription medication abuse," Dr Divin told Medscape Medical News.

She said that overall, the survey "reinforces the importance of drug prevention programs at younger and younger ages, as well as integrating risk reduction strategies and violence prevention, into such educational programs."

The study was funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. The authors and Dr Divin report no relevant financial relationships.

O'Malley: GOP raises 'legitimate' Clinton email questions

Martin O’Malley, a Democratic presidential candidate, said Sunday that Republicans and the media are raising “legitimate” questions about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

O’Malley, a former two-term Maryland governor, said the questions surrounding Clinton’s email habits as secretary of State aren’t allowing Democrats to talk about the economic issues worrying voters.

“So long as our Democratic Party is not talking about the issues that matter most around the kitchen table, the only question that will be asked every day, and it's a legitimate question, by media people like yourself, or by the Republicans, are questions about Hillary Clinton's emails,” O’Malley said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“Those are questions that I will leave to her and to her lawyers to answer. But as a party, we need to wake up and we need to have start having debates about the issues that really matter, like making college more affordable for more families, making wages go up and not down,” O’Malley added.

Maryland Adds 9,200 Jobs in July

100 percent of jobs gains in the private sector

BALTIMORE, MD – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released state jobs and unemployment data earlier today. According to the preliminary survey data, Maryland added 9,200 jobs. Compared with July 2014, Maryland total jobs are up by 53,700. Maryland’s preliminary jobs estimate for June was revised upward by BLS from a loss of 6,200 jobs to a decrease of 3,400 jobs.

Maryland’s July preliminary unemployment rate remained at 5.2 percent from the June revised rate of 5.2 percent. “It’s great to see we’re adding jobs in Maryland. With every business that relocates, expands or starts up in Maryland, it brings jobs. It's a catalyst for other businesses to come here, and that means more jobs and more Marylanders getting back to work. That builds a stronger economy for the State of Maryland," said the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Kelly M. Schulz.

According to data released today, the Professional and Business Services sector added 7,900 jobs. (The Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services subsector gained 3,100 jobs. The Management of Companies and Enterprises subsector gained 100 jobs and the Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services subsector added 4,700 jobs.) The Information sector gained 100 jobs. The Financial Activities sector added 1,800 jobs. (The Finance and Insurance subsector added 400 jobs and the Real Estate and Rental and Leasing subsector gained 1,400 jobs.) The Education and Health Services sector gained 2,200 jobs. (The Educational Services subsector added 1,900 jobs and the Health Care and Social Assistance subsector gained 300 jobs.)

The blackmail of Ashley Madison users has already begun

On Tuesday, a huge trove of data stolen from the extramarital-affairs website's servers was leaked online.

As well as confidential internal documents, this included user data on the site's 32 million users.

The information ranges from email addresses and financial details to physical descriptions and detailed sexual preferences.

According to multiple media reports on Friday, blackmailers have started trawling the database, widely available online, in an attempt to extort the users on it.

Bitcoin-news outlet CoinDesk was sent an email from a reader who apparently had an account on Ashley Madison. The reader had received an email from a would-be blackmailer called "Team GrayFlay" threatening to expose them unless they sent the extorter some bitcoins.

WHAT'S AN INFIDEL?

The author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races.

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who each explained their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Muslim and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'

I responded, 'so, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.' He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine The Pope commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'

The Muslim was speechless.

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'

You could have heard a pin drop. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President. I think everyone in the U.S. should be quired to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

This is your chance to make a difference.
