Wicomico County Residents, You Need To Contact Senator Jim Mathias RIGHT NOW!

410-841-3645

Text his cell phone 443-497-0911

Ladies & Gentlemen, the time is RIGHT NOW! Senator Jim Mathias is about to assure residents of Wicomico County the Elected School Board will never come out of committee TODAY.

He is claiming there's not been a strong enough stance on this matter, not enough people have spoken out about it. He went on to say that the black community also needs to be heard.

We tried to tell you this man would be a great disappointment to the Eastern Shore as Wicomico County is one of only two districts in the entire state that does not have an elected school board.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out we are way behind the times but as we can ALL see, it's the LIBERAL leadership who is fullly against what the taxpayers truly want.

Call, text or e-mail Jim today and let your voices be heard immediately. It has to be done within the next few hours. SO DO IT for once in your life.

Exclusive Shocking Information About Your Wicomico County Board of Education

Click on these images to enlarge.

This is exactly what I mean when I say, Fredericksen is absolutely CLUELESS on how to run the Board of Education. That's right, FIRE the people who were instructed to follow the Supervisors orders and do NOTHING to the Supervisors.

If it wasn't for Salisbury News, (the Blog) none of you would know any of this is happening. Funny how we've not only delivered documented evidence about something VERY important to ALL parents, yet it has not been exposed in the rest of the media.

The Eastern Shore is about as crooked as I've ever seen. Damn that Joe Albero for exposing the TRUTH so often. We were perfectly fine before that guy came along! Yeah, raw sewage was leaking into the river from the WWTP. Millions of gallons of untreated water was being pumped into the river at the same WWTP. Nasty, disgusting food is being served to your CHILDREN and because I've exposed it, Joe Albero is the Anti Christ.

Then there's the Chamber of Commerce who is so upset with me because stories and evidence like this gets exposed and Salisbury News is HURTING Salisbury and Wicomico County. God Forbid someone is actually held accountable for THEIR actions.

I could go on and on with the incredible things we have exposed over the past 10 years but I think you pretty much get my drift here. YOU need to hold your local media accountable as well. WHY do they not give a crap about stories like this?

Yeah, just take the food that's about to ROT, pull it out of the package, wash it thoroughly and REPACKAGE it while placing it back with the fresh products. To ALL of the local restaurant owners here on the shore, what would happen to you if the Health Department caught YOU doing the same!

If I were you, I'd start packing a HEALTHY lunch each and every day for your children from this point forward because even AFTER these people have been exposed, they just want to HIDE it, repackage it and put it back on the shelf so that nasty Joe Albero can't expose us any more.

Last but not least, WHERE'S THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON ALL OF THIS? We have delivered documented evidence of clear and blatant violations. I think YOU deserve to know what they're doing to protect innocent little children.

Senator’s Position On Wicomico School Board Bill Questioned; Mathias: ‘I’m Not Being An Obstructionist’

SALISBURY — After taking his lumps this week over the elected school board issue in Wicomico County, State Senator Jim Mathias (D-38) aimed to clear the air this week about his position, reporting his lack of support for a bill that would put the question to referendum in 2016 was due to the public not yet being fully engaged.

For several years, Wicomico County has wrestled with the concept of going from a school board appointed by the governor to an elected school board or a combination of the two. In 2011, a bill that would have put the question to the voters in Wicomico through the referendum process passed through the House with amendments and got before the full Senate, but the clock expired on the session before it could come to a vote. Nearly four years later, the issue has surfaced again and has gotten particularly nasty this time around. State Senator Addie Eckardt (R-37) has introduced legislation that would put the question of an elected school board to the voters in the general election in 2016.

Wicomico remains one of the few jurisdictions in the state with a school board fully appointed by the governor. In the proposed referendum, the voters in Wicomico would ostensibly have a choice between keeping a school board appointed by the governor or opting for the bill’s proposed hybrid proposal, which would include five elected members from each of the county’s council districts along with two appointed members chosen by the County Executive with the advice and consent of the County Council. Also included would be one non-voting student representative.

In typical protocol, a “local courtesy bill” such as a request for a referendum for an elected school board would come with the blessing of both senators from the jurisdiction making the request, in this case Eckardt and Mathias. However, Eckardt has introduced the bill without Mathias as a co-sponsor, an omission that did not get by the committee chairperson. As a result, Mathias was lambasted this week by the Salisbury News blog for his perceived lack of support for the hybrid school board proposal. The blog on Wednesday published Mathias’ contact information, including his cell phone number.

The blog urged readers to reach out to Mathias immediately to voice their displeasure with the fact he was not a co-sponsor of the bill. As a result, the senator was bombarded with calls, texts and emails, not all of which were entirely pleasant. However, Mathias stood by his decision not to sign on to the legislation at this point and said his resistance was based on his notion the public had not been fully engaged in the issue and that he had co-sponsored the legislation in 2011 that just failed to get to a vote before the session expired.

Comment Worthy Of A Post 3-24-15

Joe, I stumbled across an interesting website this morning:

Best Public Schools in MD
https://k12.niche.com/rankings/public-elementary-schools/best-overall/s/maryland/?source=fb_md_e

I decided to do a little research on the school on the list; more particularly, the Counties in which they operate.

Of the 100 schools on the list:
59 in Montgomery
31 in Howard
4 in Frederick
3 in Prince George's
2 in Calvert
1 in Worcester
O in Wicomico

I took it a step further and started looking at teacher salaries (Min to Max - Maryland Public Schools, 2013-2014):
Montgomery $46,410 to $105,707
Howard $45,971 to $80,405
Frederick $40,706 to $95,007
Prince George's $44,799 to $90,843
Calvert $45,046 to $99,110
Worcester $42,987 to $78,444
Wicomico $43,987 to $76,589

Given the much lower cost of living in Wicomico County, Teacher salaries for Wicomico seem to be on par with those Counties making the list. In fact, despite making less money, teachers would fair much better in Wicomico County over other counties due to the differences in cost of living.

So teacher salaries are likely not the cause as to why Wicomico didn't make this list... Let's look at cost per student for 2014-2015 (from County budgets)

Montgomery: $15,025
Howard: $14,274
Frederick: $16,813
Prince George's: $13,944
Calvert: $12,657
Worcester: $14,705
Wicomico: $14,338

Again, Wicomico comes in on par with cost per student being merely $687 shy of of the list leader, Montgomery County. If anything, Wicomico benefits from the lower general cost of being on the Shore thus making it's dollar stretch farther.

So what is the problem here? What do these counties have that Wicomico does not? ELECTED SCHOOL BOARDS! All of the Counties that made the list have an elected school board. This tells us that Wicomico can throw all the money it wants into "education" but that money is ineffective if it is mismanaged or poorly appropriated. There is absolutely no reason why we operate in the same State as these other counties yet are so sub-par. It isn't about money folks (well it is about money - SAVING IT!), it is all about leadership and quality decision making! I encourage everybody look into and support moving to an elected school board in Wicomico County - that would truly be a decision "for the kids"

Democrat Jim Mathias withdraws his support for a Wicomico County elected school board

Clearly Jim Mathias did not learn a thing about why Norman Conway lost his seat. Now he will have to learn the hard way - as his butt will be toast come next election. There will be no elected school board for Wicomico County.

Breaking News Alert

Fyi, government vehicles being spotted in rural areas outside Salisbury, marked "wetlands" on their vehicle, are trespassing on peoples property and marking any areas with water with pink ribbons, each marked with an alpha numeric code. They do not ask for permission to be on your land, they just appear. It just happened to one of my neighbors. He is furious and said he's been seeing them moving around the area. Not sure what it's about, possibly EPA ? New water law enforcement from Obama? Watch and check your property! Will be checking my property tonight weather permitting.

Congratulations Somerset County

After FIVE YEARS of trying to convince residents of Somerset County this was a good deal, Salisbury News published several revealing articles providing not only factual information referencing the downfalls of such a project, citizens spoke out in comments that shattered records right here on Salisbury News and ALL of the local media combined.

Of course the rest of the media waited until AFTER the decision was made to stop the project in its tracks and quite frankly we saw this as a complete injustice to the Eastern Shore as they should be telling BOTH sides in advance.

However, this is what we get any more these days and this is exactly why this Blog continues to grow exponentially.

One article fell only a few short comments under 1,200, something never seen here before, or anywhere else. Hundreds of additional comments came in on other articles referencing the same topic. Somerset County residents flat out said, NO!

They can blame the immediate halt to this project on Legislators but I think we all know, your comments are what put a stop to it, period. They knew many months earlier what these Legislators had decided, yet they waited until after comments came in to see their project no longer had legs. Of course the rest of the media isn't willing to mention the massive amount of comments. Instead, they simply republished the press release announcing it was over.

So my hat is tipped to ALL of you who participated with your comments. You CAN beat City Hall and now you know how influential you can be with your comments.

Senator Jim Mathias Experiencing Massive Frustration From The Shore

With phone lines ringing off the hook, text messages and e-mail, Senator Jim Mathias has never experiences such attention. Unfortunately it's not good attention as the entire Eastern Shore is extremely upset with the way he is failing to represent the people of the Shore.

Sources have informed us, Mathias is frustrated and it shows. Damn that Joe Albero and Salisbury News. Little do they understand, ITS NOT ME! We simply put the information out there and it is our readers who want their voices heard and they've done just that.

Just because we've become the largest news source on the Shore, don't hate us because we're so popular. Other news outlets should have learned their lesson. Between Wind Farms, Elected School Boards and bills like HB-70, Jim is feeling the wrath of many thousands of very frustrated people wanting to be heard and represented.

Stating the black community hasn't been heard from and that Wicomico County hasn't shown they truly want an elected school board, Mathias has been caught red handed with flat out lies and non truthful statements. Because your local Liberal media refuses to EXPOSE this elected official, well, how's it working for you now Jim?

It's about time the citizens actually get it. By making comments, sending text messages, e-mail messages and even calling, YOU have once again made a difference. YOU have been heard. Now the question remains, will Mathias actually listen or will he continue to ACT as if he truly represent the people while folding to special interests?

We've got our eyes on you Mathias. You either start representing the people who voted for you OR you continue to represent the  people who line your campaign pockets. One thing is for sure, if you pick the later you'll clearly never see another term in office. You've fooled the voters for the last time.

Keep up the fantastic work viewers!!!

POLICE IMPLEMENT NEW POLICY TO TREAT EVERYONE AS CRIMINALS: WHEN A COP STOPS YOU, HANDS MUST GO UP

Nearly every aspect associated with it is tyrannical.

Drivers as well as their passengers in Topeka Kansas will soon be subject to a new policy requiring everyone to put their hands up during police stops.

Police say they are implementing this policy because “we all want to go home to our families, and this makes it safer for us to approach vehicles to gain that compliance. It gives us a chance to survive these encounters.”

However, the implications regarding this practice are horrid, and many residents are up in arms about being forced to be up in arms.

“Every day somebody’s getting shot by a police officer, and it’s like ‘oh my goodness, will I be next?’, or will I be okay?” said one resident.

Come on Jimmy, it's not that hard. You were wrong, you lied, you owe me an apology. Now don't get one of your boys to phone spoof me, the call needs to come from you. Jonathan Taylor Continues To STEAL Articles From Salisbury News: Caught Red Handed AGAIN

Yeah, if you're stupid enough to visit his site you'll see a series of articles with "Whoops!" on it or a blank screen because we pulled our original articles that he stole from us and he can no longer use.
The obese and lazy piece of crap can't get his own articles for himself. Instead, just sit back in your oversized chair and copy whatever Salisbury News takes the time to search for and publish.

Notice in the yellow boxes who owns the material. This was taken from his own site and he was even too lazy to change the name of the files.

Now some of you might come back and say, we copy and paste articles all the time, this is true. HOWEVER, we copy a few paragraphs and then link back to the original site with a MORE link.

Since Taylor is now partnered with Greg Bassett, birds of a feather flock together. Taylor is well known for stealing full articles from beginning to end and never giving credit to the original origin.

We work very hard every day searching the Internet to find articles WE believe the majority of viewers will be interested in. It would be great if this guy delivered original material and didn't STEAL it from others who work so hard. Heck, he could see what we publish and go there and create his own articles but why do that when you can just steal the whole thing.

Jonathan, NO ONE likes a thief. You mooch off the taxpayers and now you are a well known thief. Its no wonder people call you a bottom feeder. Once again Salisbury News delivers hard evidence.

UPDATE: Since we own the files and material, once we pulled them from our site it instantly pulled it from his site and that also proves he stole the material from us. That's why you now see either a blank screen or a ""Whoops!" message.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Gun Arrest

Bethel - Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel man after he was found to be in possession of a gun and drugs during a traffic stop yesterday afternoon.

The incident began on Friday, March 27, 2015 at approximately 1:20 p.m., as a Delaware State Trooper on routine patrol on Bethel Road west of Woodland Ferry Road, Bethel, observed a white Jeep with a loud muffler traveling in an eastbound direction. The trooper began to follow the vehicle, and as they reached the intersection of Woodland Ferry Road, the operator of the Jeep made a sudden U-turn in the middle of the intersection. The trooper then activated his emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop of the Jeep.

The trooper then made contact with the operator of the vehicle, later identified as Garrett L. Hill, 21, of Laurel, DE, and while speaking to him he observed several knives inside of the vehicle, as well as inside of Hill’s wallet as he was retrieving his identification. Hill was then asked to exit the vehicle and upon conducting a pat down search of him, the trooper located two more knives. A subsequent search of the Jeep was conducted at which time the trooper located a fully loaded SAR 9mm handgun in between the driver’s seat and center console of the car. He also located a digital scale, 6.5 grams of marijuana, and rolling papers inside of the vehicle’s center console.

Garrett Hill was arrested and transported to Troop 5, Bridgeville, where he was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Improper Turning of a Vehicle within an Intersection. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $6050.00 unsecured bail.

News Flash

SBYNews is getting reports that 5 Pocomoke City Police cars were patrolling the town of Snow Hill last night. It is our understanding that these officers have been ordered to leave their jurisdiction by the Chief of Police, Kelvin Sewell, and aggressively patrol a town 15 miles outside of their jurisdiction. This is too bizarre to believe, but multiple reports cannot be denied.

Somebody has some explaining to do as the the citizens of Pocomoke City have been left unprotected while the Chief of Police has lost his marbles!

You won't see this reported anywhere else. We will stay on top of it and report what we find out. Stay tuned.

Officer who died in crash had blood alcohol level of .07

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Police say an officer who died after crashing his cruiser had a blood alcohol concentration high enough to have been charged with driving while impaired.

Officers said in a news release Friday evening that speed may have also contributed to 26-year-old Officer Brennan Rabain’s death on March 7.

Investigators had reported the Rabain was off duty and driving his girlfriend home when he spotted a speeding car. Police said Friday that Rabain reached a speed of 106 mph during the pursuit. Officers say Rabain lost control of his car, which off the road and crashed into a wooden fence.

Governor Hogan Announces Supplemental Budget Supporting Maryland State Police

Actions Will Provide Funding For 100 New Troopers, Reopen Annapolis Barrack

ANNAPOLIS, MD –
Today at a swearing-in ceremony for Colonel William M. Pallozzi as superintendent of the Maryland State Police, Governor Hogan announced the administration’s plan to introduce a second supplemental budget, which, in part, will add funding for 100 new Maryland State Police troopers and reopen the barrack in Annapolis.

The announcement reaffirms the Hogan administration’s commitment to making sure that the Maryland State Police remains among the most effective, trusted, and respected police forces in the United States.

The supplemental budget will provide an additional $6.8 million to recruit, train, and equip 100 new troopers. These troopers will be added through two classes, the first of which is scheduled for graduation this year. It will also provide an additional $1.4 million to reopen the Maryland State Police “Barrack J” in Annapolis that was closed by the previous administration in 2008. The governor has instructed Colonel Pallozzi to begin the process of restoring “Barrack J” to an operational state within the next few months.

“I am honored to watch Colonel Pallozzi be sworn in as the next superintendent of the Maryland State Police,” said Governor Hogan. “He’s a man of experience and integrity, and under his leadership, the Maryland State Police will now be able to employ the full range of their law enforcement capabilities and develop a more unified approach with their local and federal counterparts. It is our duty to provide the State Police with the manpower and resources they need to do their jobs and protect the people of Maryland. By reopening the Annapolis barrack and increasing the number of Maryland state troopers, we will have a greater police presence on our roadways and in our local communities.”

Currently, the authorized size of the Maryland State Police is 1,556 men and women in uniform. The actions taken through the supplemental budget will bring the force to 1,656 troopers - a level not seen for more than a dozen years.

“I am humbled by the trust Governor Hogan has placed in me and honored to have the privilege to lead the sworn and civilian employees who make up one of the finest law enforcement departments in the nation,” said Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel William Pallozzi. “I am grateful for my career as a state trooper and look forward to the opportunity I have to continue to serve with our troopers as we work to protect the people of Maryland. Governor Hogan’s announcement today regarding additional personnel and resources is a clear and welcome indication of this administration’s commitment to public safety and to the Maryland State Police.”

The Maryland State Police is an essential component of public safety and crime control:

In 2014, Maryland state troopers made more than 19,000 criminal arrests and recovered almost 2,000 illegal guns.

The Regional Automated Property Information Database coordinated by the Maryland State Police assisted in the arrests of more than 1,700 criminals and the recovery of $6.7 million worth of stolen property in 2014.

The Maryland State Police Aviation Command completed its transition to the new helicopter fleet ahead of schedule and last year flew 2,200 patients to lifesaving care. It also helped to find 123 lost or missing people in 2014.

The internationally accredited Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division Crime Laboratory analyzed 21,139 cases last year, 72 percent of which were for local police departments in the state.

DEA agents had ‘sex parties’ with prostitutes hired by drug cartels

Drug Enforcement Administration agents allegedly had “sex parties” with prostitutes hired by local drug cartels overseas over a period of several years, according to a report released Thursday by the Justice Department’s watchdog.

The report did not specify the country where the parties occurred, but a law enforcement official familiar with the matter identified it as Colombia.

Seven of the 10 DEA agents alleged to have participated in the gatherings — most of which took place at an agent’s “quarters” leased by the U.S. government — admitted to having attended the parties, the report found. The agents, some of whom had top-secret security clearances, received suspensions of two to 10 days.

Army Bucked White House to Charge Bergdahl

In charging Bowe Bergdahl with desertion, the Army defied the White House's "tooth and nail" fight to give the embattled sergeant a slap on the wrist, retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters tells Newsmax TV.

"I'm very proud of the U.S. Army, because this is clearly a case of the Army standing up to all the pressure the Obama administration could bring to bear," Peters said Wednesday.

"The Obama administration, I can tell you, has been fighting tooth and nail to get the Army to cook the books and reduce the charge to AWOL or less.

"But, my God … at least some of the generals showed some backbone, stood up, and said, 'No, this really matters.' "

Last May, terrorists freed Bergdahl in Afghanistan in exchange for five Taliban commanders imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay. But there was always a question as to whether Bergdahl — hailed as a hero by some and feted at a White House ceremony — had actually deserted his post before being captured.

The swap set off a debate over whether the U.S. should have freed Taliban members who would likely fight the U.S. again.

Bergdahl now faces a court-martial on charges of desertion, avoiding military service and misbehavior before the enemy, which carry a maximum penalty of death.

MIKULSKI, DELAURO REINTRODUCE PAYCHECK FAIRNESS ACT TO END WAGE DISCRIMINATION

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) today reintroduced the Paycheck Fairness Act, legislation which would help close the wage gap between women and men working the same jobs. On average, women make just 78 cents for every dollar made by a man.

“Middle class families need a raise and more money in the family checkbook. Five years ago we made a down payment towards equal pay passing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to keep the courthouse doors open. I’m fighting to finish the job and stop wage discrimination from happening in the first place,” said Senator Mikulski, a senior member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension (HELP) Committee. “Equal pay is not just for our pocketbooks, it’s about family checkbooks and getting it right in the law books. The Paycheck Fairness Act ensures that women will no longer be fighting on their own for equal pay for equal work.”

“Equal pay is not just a problem for women, but for families, who are trying to pay their bills, trying to get ahead, trying to achieve the American Dream, and are getting a smaller paycheck than they have earned for their hard work,” Congresswoman DeLauro said. “The Paycheck Fairness Act will help the Equal Pay Act fulfill its intended objective, offer real protections to ensure equal pay for equal work, and see that women are paid the same as the other half of our nation’s workforce for the same job.”

Philadelphia Police Shot 400 People In 7 Years: DOJ Report

Philadelphia police officers were responsible for 400 civilian shootings over the last seven years, according to a new report from the Department of Justice.

The report also found that there was “an undercurrent of significant strife between the community” and the police.

The Washington Post has more on the report:

This report looked at the number of times Philadelphia police officers shot someone between 2007 and 2013, finding nearly 400 such incidents over that seven-year span. Fifty-nine unarmed people were fatally shot over this period, and half of the unarmed people were shot because the officer saw something (like a cellphone) or some action (like a person pulling at the waist of their pants) and misidentified it as a threat, the report states.

Utah to use firing squads if lethal drugs are unavailable

Utah became the only state to allow firing squads for executions when the governor signed a law on Monday approving the method when no lethal injection drugs were available, even though he called it 'a little bit gruesome'.

Utah is a capital punishment state and needs a backup execution method in case a shortage of the drugs persists, Republican Governor Gary Herbert said.

'We regret anyone ever commits the heinous crime of aggravated murder to merit the death penalty, and we prefer to use our primary method of lethal injection when such a sentence is issued,' the governor's spokesman said.

FOOD SERVICE IN WICOMICO SCHOOLS: SERVING MEALS TO SERVE LEARNING

Every day throughout the school year, in more than two dozen locations around the county, the food service staff of Wicomico County Public Schools serves on average more than 1,900 breakfasts and more than 7,200 lunches to our important customers – our students.

It’s an important task for many reasons. Research consistently supports the connection between a stomach that’s full and a mind that’s ready to learn. While plenty of students eat breakfast at home, and others bring a packed lunch to school, many students and families depend on the breakfast and lunch they receive at school. The percentage of Wicomico students who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals (FARM) is nearly 60%, and in some schools the FARM percentage is 85% or even higher. Many families appreciate the convenience of students being able to purchase meals at school when they like what’s on the menu, or when the family is too rushed or too short on supplies to pack.

Another frequent diner in school cafeterias is Dr. John Fredericksen, Superintendent of Schools. Almost every week he visits schools to have lunch with students, purchasing the same menu items as students. In addition to ensuring that he gets to eat during a busy work day, lunchtime at school is a great chance for him to hear what’s important to students, and to see cafeteria workers and other school staff in action.

“My favorite thing is to hear them tell me about their biggest challenges, be it subtraction or AP Calculus, and how we’re helping them meet these challenges. “Itreasure the times when I can step out of the office and hear directly from our students, and I enjoy joining them for school lunch. My menu choices are chicken sandwiches and lasagna, with chocolate milk.”

For each and every school cafeteria customer, in every school cafeteria around the county, food service staff strive to provide healthful and appealing meals, in accordance with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act and other federal guidelines, with careful control of food costs.

The past two winters have been challenging for food service, which must adjust menus to adapt to snow days. They must change menu offerings to ensure ingredients and supplies are used before their “best by” date. Additionally, they rotate and delete stock according to established procedures to ensure that kitchens are serving the best possible food. School cafeterias do an excellent job throughout the year checking dates and rotating stock with all food including milk, fruits, vegetables, condiments, snack items, and more.

Recently some community concerns surfaced regarding adherence to “best by” and “sell by” dates. In response to these concerns, Director of Food Service Eric Goslee reminded food service kitchen managers of the proper procedures to follow, including:

Double-check dates on foods served to students. Remove any outdated foods that are found. Please do not sell anything beyond its “best by” and/or “sell by” dates. Any items beyond that date, please inventory and report to the food service director.

For items such as packaged produce (baby carrots, apple slices): As these items get closer to the date, move your fresh fruit and/or vegetables around to serve before the date. Take items out of package, rinse and repackage (boats, bags, etc.) for service.

Do not combine like items with different dates to reduce storage space. Not combining items with different dates makes it easier to ensure that one box or lot contains items that all have the same “best by” or “sell by” date.

Use and sell items on a first-in, first-out basis to maximize shelf life and food quality, and reduce waste.

If a concern or question is raised about any aspect of food service, including “best by” and “sell by” dates, a discovery process is done to collect written statements from various people involved, to ask questions related to the concern, and to determine whether established procedures were followed. Once the discovery process is complete, the school system addresses the concern in an appropriate manner, said Dr. Cathy Townsend, Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services. Wicomico has proper procedures in place for serving more than 9,000 meals a day in school cafeterias, and will continue to make every effort to ensure that procedures are carefully and conscientiously followed.

A man out for a walk with his dog last week was gunned down by three Black teens. And when police found the man’s body, they made a heartbreaking find right next to it.
As NBC Philadelphia reported, the three black teens got “bored” playing basketball and decided to go rob someone. After seeing one man with a large dog, and deciding not to rob him, they then saw 51-year-old James Patrick Stuhlman walking his terrier.
Stuhlman typically walked his dog with his 13-year-old daughter. But on the night of his murder, March 12, he had told her to stay home because it was getting dark out, which very likely saved her life.
As he walked down the street, Stuhlman, who owned a local landscaping company, saw three teens approach him. Then they grabbed and robbed him, and shot him once in the leg. They could have just taken his money and ran at that point. But they did not.
At one point, he did plead for his life,” Captain James Clark said Thursday at a news conference, according to the New York Daily News. “He said, ‘Please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me,’ and they still shot him one more time.
That second shot took his life.
So “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” really did happen — not in Ferguson — but in a Black-on-White capital murder in Philadelphia.
So can we expect Barack Obama and Eric Holder to demand a civil right investigation? Don’t bet on it.
Police have arrested 15-year-old Brandon Smith. They also arrested a 14-year-old whose name has been withheld — because he is supposedly a “child.”.
They said they decided to rob Stuhlman because his dog was smaller than their intended first target. The shooter who gunned down this father in cold blood, 15-year old Tyfine Hamilton, is “still at large”. Philadelphia police consider him “armed and dangerous.”
Smith has been charged in relation to the murder and is still in custody. But the unnamed teen was inexplicably just charged with robbery despite being an accessory to murder. Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hamilton.
Typically, the teens have all been in trouble with the law in the past. It is stunning at what early age vicious murderers are now made. 15? Unbelievable.
Capt. Clark warned Hamilton at a press conference: “Get with your parent and turn yourself in before we come and get you…We know where you are.”
Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker said that when police arrived at the scene Stuhlman was laying in a pool of blood and was already unresponsive. The family man still had his flashlight in his hand.
But  what police found next to him was heartbreaking. His dog was pawing him, sniffing at his face, and whimpering.
“The dog was lying next to him — appeared to be scared and in shock,” Walker said.
“His daughter goes for a walk with him almost every night,” Clark said. “For whatever reason, he said to her, ‘it’s a little late tonight I don’t want you walking with me.’ So in effect, he may have saved his daughter’s life.”
Thank God he did, but that is small consolation for the young girl who is now without a father, and will forever fear walking at dusk, thanks to the savage brutality these young monsters inflicted on her own dad.
Author’s personal note: I don’t usually do this, but feel I must. The media is censoring this story. You know why. They made the Michael Brown fraud front page news for months. But they will bury this REAL “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” horror. It is up to you to share this article with everyone you know. We can bypass the media censorship and get the truth out there. Thank you. -BB

A Letter To The Editor 3-24-15

Mr Albero,

I am extremely PO as I have just seen that the Mayor wants ANOTHER 5 police cars costing tax payers close to quarter of a million dollars. I pass by the SPD every day where there is AT LEAST 15 police cars sitting there doing NOTHING and I believe the SPD just received NEW CARS a year or so ago. This mayor is out of control with other peoples tax dollars and needs to be STOPPED. November cant come soon enough to send this Fool packing with his tail between his legs.

There's A Major Flaw In The Decriminalization Pot Law In Maryland

So let's say you get pulled over by the Police and they find less then 10 grams of pot in your vehicle. As the law stands in Maryland the Officer can only give you a civil citation. They give you a ticket for $50.00 and a Court date is set up for you to appear.

Now, for a $50.00 ticket, the Police Officer who has just worked several 12 hour shifts has to go to Court for this civil citation usually on their day off when they could be sleeping in for once and the next thing they know, you are a no show. In fact, let's say you don't even pay the fine. Do they or can they issue a warrant for your arrest, NO! It's a civil citation, period.

According to the new legislation it is NOT a criminal offense. HOWEVER, let's say you get pulled over and they instead find you in possession of a pipe with only residue in it and let's even say they find an empty baggie that used to have pot in it. Believe it or not, BOTH are considered paraphernalia. BOTH are considered a criminal offense and they can charge you as such. How stupid is that!

Now, if you don't pay the fine and you don't go to Court, they are currently under law supposed to issue a bench warrant for your arrest. Hardly makes sense, right? Well I'm told that legislation is expected to be changed this year so it is no longer a criminal offense. We'll see about that.

Here's the kicker though. Going back to the first part of this Post, so now you didn't pay the fine, you didn't show up for Court, what happens if you get pulled over again and an Officer finds 5 grams of pot in your car. Guess what, NOTHING HAPPENS. The first incident is considered incomplete and NOTHING shows up on your record. This can happen a hundred times and NOTHING happens to you. Because it is a civil citation and not criminal, they can't even suspend your drivers license.

Our Legislators have created a mess with the way they decriminalized pot. They need to go back to the drawing board and STOP wasting not only Police Officers time but they're wasting the Courts time as well.

One can only hope our legislators in Annapolis will see this article and realize they completely screwed up. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for Officers, Judges and States Attorneys. It's time to get it straightened out and I do mean immediately.
