My father...WWII US Navy veteran...fought in the Pacific. Miss you Dad.
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank my dad, he quit his job and withdrew from College on December 8th 1941. He drove from Philadephia to Willards Maryland to take care of his personal affairs. On 21JAN he report for duty in the United States Navy. The men and women that served then and serve now are the best this country has to offer.

ReplyDeleteI would like to thank all of the 2nd division Infantry who I served with , My patrol leader and West Point Grad. Lt. Caldwell , we were the best 2nd to none . Sorry for our losses !

ReplyDeleteI would like to honor my Uncle. He lost his life in the fighting just after the landing on Normandy.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle, Neal Heffernan, shot down over Korea at age 24.

ReplyDeleteI was named after my Great Uncle who died 3 days after arriving and fighting in the Battle of the "Black Forest" I never met him, but countless people in my life have told me he was a great man!

ReplyDeleteFirst off thanks to all our veterans here and those that have passed on. Personally I remember by Dad George Thomas, Uncle Ralph Thomas, father in law Alton Brittingham, they all have passed on but not forgotten.
