Video Of Protest Today At Salisbury Christmas Parade

  1. Pathetic, ridiculous and disgusting. Ruin a Christmas parade with that crap. You ruined it for kids and families.

  2. I am curious who the imbecilic parent is who let their children run up to the area where the melee unfolded.
Take note of it towards the end of the video.

  3. Idiots, absolute idiots.
Start a ruckus during a parade with little children around.

I am absolutely shocked by the stupidity of the prostestors and proud of the PD that no one got hurt.

If they had just gotten out of the street like they were asked none of that would have happened.

This had the potential to be a huge disaster and very easily could have gotten way out of hand.

And as far as the comments on the other article - anyone who says that it is not big deal for kids to see this is a prime example of a bad parent and part of the problem.

  4. That whole bunch does not have enough brain cells to but in a peanut shell. Mike Lewis should get his new BIG Piece of equipment and clear that mess away. No wonder Salisbury has problems just look closely and you have the answer.

  5. Posting this video only gives these idiots the exposure and attention they want. We shouldn't give them.

  6. Once again the entitlement mentality shows itself.
Both Brown and Garner died because in their minds they were entitled and felt they didn't have to listen to a lawful order of the police.
Now we see this. Did these demonstrators register and pay the fee like everyone else did?
Get over yourselves already and stop acting like nothing applies to you including laws.

  7. Showing me that you are big and bad during a childrens event is basically showing me the mentality that needs to be feared. You will go anywhere ...at anytime... and put anyone at risk. No wonder people draw the assumptions that they do.

  8. People....there are businesses that have invested money in predominately black neighborhoods in Salisbury that will shut down if this place becomes racially charged. They will have to shut down for safety sake. I think the decent black men and women in this town do not want this happening. I would make a plea that people of all colors and religions try to come together before people lose too much. After the racially charged haters leave our town and head back to where they came from we would be left with nothing but ashes. I remember Cambridge burning. NOTHING was achieved. Please...can we all remember the words of Martin Luther King and try to remain peaceful in our lives. Change is good only if it does not destroy things in its path. Schedule protests with media coverage. We have come too far to take 300 steps backward in 2014. Be an intelligent force for change. We all know that things need to change....but not for the worse.

  9. Absolutely horrific. Couldn't watch the whole thing. These people have some deep seated mental issues which have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the police. They need some long term PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING!!!

  11. OK... UNTIL THESE TROUBLE MAKERS settle down and/or leave town.... visiting any and all commercial establishments on the West Side of Salisbury is off limits for me.

It was not long ago that a local business had their windows shot at on Pemberton Drive and a woman was cornered by a group of black youth while in traffic in the same area. These hate mongers are trying to take this city down and it will happen if someone gets killed in these areas.

This is what becomes of hate and violence. NOTHING GOOD! Why do you think there are whole areas that people will not drive through in Baltimore? How can we bus (trolley) SSU students into this area after dark when we know racial tensions are sparking violence??

We cannot go on "business as usual" with the town threatening to erupt because of outsiders coming in to make sure it a place of violence. The liability is just far too great.

    Merry Christmas!!!

  14. I noticed that one of the stores that got looted in California was AT&T. Do you suppose that they choose the site of the picketing by which stores are close "just in case."

  15. Lets look at what we know
How many people protested? 20 or so how many where from elsewhere? 1/2 so as I see it Salisbury doesn't support the silly protest. So lets focus on some good.

  16. Here's the problem:

    James Kelly Fleming:
    -Possession of CDS
-Possession of CDS w/ intent to distribute
    -Handgun in vehicle
    -Firearm/Drug trafficking
    -Handgun on person
    -3rd degree burglary
    -4th degree burglary
    -3rd degree sex offence
    -4th degree sex offence
    -2nd degree assault

Out of all those charges, the majority of them were either nolle pros'ed or placed on the stet docket. He spent 2 days in jail!!! You want to talk about justice, where is the justice that lets this CRIMINAL out on the streets? This system has failed us this time around. If there were bullets and blood flying at the parade and an innocent person was killed then whose hands is the blood really on; the suspect or the judge that let him go with less than a slap on the wrist? That's the problem - the judicial system isn't held accountable for who they let roam free. You start making judges accountable for their decisions and I guarantee you'll see an immediate reduction in crime.
