Chief Ross Buzzuro with Macky and Pam Stansell

“Our officers wear the badge but it’s our great community members that stand behind that badge,” said Chief Ross Buzzuro. “I thank Macky’s for their gracious donation and continued dedication to our partnership.”
The money donated by Macky’s was collected as a cover charge at the Life Is Good Music Festival which took place on Tuesday, May 28.
The funds will be used for the care, training and gear for the canines and horses of the OCPD
The cops and department are ROLLING in money. What is Macky's thinking?
ReplyDeleteThe Macky's were thinking of something nice to do, that is what they were thinking.
ReplyDeleteI have know Pam and Macky for many years now. These are two of the kindest people I have ever known in Ocean City and they have EARNED their success. They are simply paying it forward and good for them.
ReplyDeleteI would consider paying it forward to be helping the locals rather than giving money to the police. The police are funded by the city/county/state/feds. Help those that really need it.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise here. This couple has been incredibly generous to many charities and organizations over the years.
ReplyDeleteIf there is any surprise at all, it's the fact that there is a photo of this particular donation. In the true spirit of giving and charity, Macky and Pam have done so much very quietly, with no fanfare, and under the radar.
A mounted unit can be very costly for a PD and if not funded by private donations would otherwise take a large part of a PD's budget.
ReplyDeleteMounted units as well as K9's not only serve in a public relations role, but are useful in certain situations such as crowd dispersement.
