UPDATE: Swimmer From Ocean City Dies

The 18 year old swimmer from Montgomery County has been pronounced deceased. His name has not been released.

    Yes, I am very sorry for this tragedy.

    I often wonder...if some OC ocean rescues could be prevented if the OC Beach Patrol flew red no swimming or yellow caution flags on each life guard stand as surf conditions dictate, such as rip tides, undertow, jellyfish etc. This flag program is used in Deerfield Beach Florida and seems very useful.

    happens every year. people come down to the beach and leave their common sense home.
