School Recites Pledge in Arabic, One Nation Under Allah?

A Colorado high school principal is defending his decision to allow students from a cultural club to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic — and denied that it was attempt to push an Islamic agenda.

Tom Lopez, the principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, told Fox News he has received a number of telephone calls and emails from outraged parents – but he stands by his decision.

“These students love this country,” he said. “They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.”

The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance once a week and on Monday a member of the Cultural Arms Club led the student body in the Arabic version of the pledge.

  1. Keep sticking "God" in everything and this exactly what your going to get. Push the Christian agenda and you will end up with Sharia law.

  3. Congrats to all the Christians terrified of this happening, this is YOUR fault.

When will you finally start adhearing to the wisdom of the establishment clause?

You don't get to argue that prayer in school is innocuous, or argue you don't have to listen or participate, then get bent when it's not your brand of religiosity.

Want to blame someone for this Christians? Find yourself a good mirror. You paved the way for this.

  4. Listen people. Allah is how Muslims pronounce god. They believe in the same god we do. They just have a different book. Get educated. They believe in Jesus Christ. They just think he was a profit like Muhammad. Just because a small percentage of Muslims are terrorist does not me mean it should be taken out on all of them. I am white and know some racist white people. So are all white people racist? Are all black people on welfare? Are all American Indians alcoholics? Everyone is equal in America and everyone's culture should be respected. This country was founded so we could have freedom of religion. It does not say what kind. I am a prior marine corps veteran and it sickens me to hear some of the things people say about other humans.

  5. Take a look at the nations that allowed the take over my the muslims/Islamic religion and you tell me this isn't going to happen here. It's already in progress! What are you/me going to do about it? I speak out and send stories like this to my contact list and post wherever I can. Do what you can!!!

  6. @3:23

I have to dissent from you perspective, as mine comes from a view that all religion is dangerous.

Have you ever heard the expression "religion is the only thing that can make good people do bad things?"

When someone can have a religious justification, they can do anything. Do not be fooled. I am no supporter of any religion, and I would argue that Christianity is horrible and immoral in many ways... but the Muslim faith and Shariah law are exceptionally dangerous, and to not be aware of this is foolish, and to not recognize the threat this religion poses means you are only deceiving yourself.

Of the examples you give to prove that this is an unfair stereotype, none of them involve religious indoctrination, and because of this, I would argue that your analogies don't hold up, your examples don't apply.

  8. there are a few clueless people commenting on this topic. please educate yourselves as to what Islam really teaches and what Sharia Law is, because this is where we are heading.

until you take time to investigate and do your homework, please don't continue to show your ignorance.

this is too serious not to get it right. the future of our nation, families, children and grandchildren depend on us. don't be so naïve.

  11. Okay, well I can't just let this one go on by without a few corrections. I'm sure I'll get slammed for it, but God has my back.

2:30 "Keep sticking God in everything and this is what you get." I beg to differ. It is keep taking GOD out of everything and this is what you get. Remember, you guys didn't want God in your schools. Well you got your wish. Now you get some other entity there instead.

3:19 I agree that Christians are to blame--only in the fact that we didn't fight harder and longer when you people wanted to take GOD out of schools, out of homes, out of lives, out of courthouses, out of text books. We didn't believe it could actually happen, so we sat back and let it happen.

3:23 Never for a minute believe that Islam and Christianity are the same. Muslims DO NOT believe in the same GOD as I do. I believe in the Lord of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob. The King of kings, the Lord of lords. Allah is not the same.
The Bible and the Koran are most definitely "different books." My Bible says to love God with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. The Koran teaches that anyone who does not believe as a Muslim must be killed.
Jesus was not a "prophet" like Muhammad.
JESUS is the SON of GOD. There is no other "like" him, except the Father himself.
Don't get it twisted, else you become a false prophet.

  12. Look I am sick of every thing put out there about what I should believe in and how I should feel. I will my live the way I brought up. What ever that is to me or you. But when I am told the way I feel in my heart is wrong. I will not change just make someone not from this country feel at home. If they wanted so much to come this country then all I can say is act like. If not shut up! One BIG question is if you were not happy living in your home country and the way they ran it. Why would come here to change us to what you left. Why do you think we would just set back and let you do that? Are you dumb? This the USA and we will give but we not break. You will see, we are strong. map

  13. The real problem is having the pledge recited, or led, for the student body in a language other than English.

Not in Gaelic, Welsh, Polish, German, Italian, Arabic, French, Japanese, Mandarin.

  14. Once again this shows the absolute stupidity of liberals. If we were under the demon murder god Allah the liberals would be the first infidels to have their empty heads cut off.

  17. Enough is enough. Fire this liberal POS and let's recite the Pledge as it was meant to be. Islam is a cancer that requires eradication. If you don't like it then leave this country NOW and move to a totally Islamic infected country.
