DON'T EAT THE MEATBALLS AT DELMAR PIZZA

Let me be the first to warn you, do NOT eat the meatballs at Delmar Pizza any time soon.

While I have always enjoyed eating at Delmar Pizza, I met with a friend there earlier this week and I ordered a meatball sub. I took my first bite and thought, this doesn't taste right. I took another bite and I said to my friend, this tastes like crap. It was disguised with Italian spices but let me tell you, by that evening I had become so sick I almost went to the Hospital and I probably should have. The next day was even worse.

I just received word this morning from another friend that they were extremely sick today. They had eaten meatballs from Delmar Pizza last night and they too are experiencing very similar problems.

I've tried calling Delmar Pizza but they didn't answer their phone this morning. Before anyone else gets sick, stay away from their meatballs.

  1. Call the health department and have them checked. Someone could die if the wrong person ate them if in fact they are rancid.

  4. My wife picked up dinner for our family from there on Wednesday night. We didn't get meatballs, but 3 different kinds of pizza, pastas, and salads.

It was all delicious...and no one got sick...

  9. I've been going there for years. I've had nothing but great service and good food there. I guess it was just a bad batch of meatballs. I believe in support local businesses and restaurants. This won't stop me from going.

  10. 11:05 How about less processed meat. I never have a problem with the flesh I prepare with my own hands... from live to table.

  13. Isn't Delmar Pizza the same place that was investigate some years ago for fecal matter and e-coli in their pizza because people were getting sick? I haven't eaten their since.

  14. 102 ...Wrong the owners of fox/olives still own the place ...Andys place is being leased by the old owners of F/O....AND they also part own delmar pizza.

  15. Delmar Pizza Inc. had no financial interest in Fox and Olive nor does it have any in Andy's Place. The owners of each are related, but that is the extent of it. Delmar Pizza was never investigated for e-coli or fecal matter. They were investigated for hepatitis WAY back in the 80's and I'm not sure the case was ever confirmed as having started there. I love Delmar Pizza. I always get great food and great aervice. The owners are very community oriented and donate a lot to youth sports teams as well as the high school. I'm going to keep going!

  16. My husband and I go there a lot, and it's always good. Never had the meatballs, though, so can't comment on them. I DO wish they'd remove the olive pits from the kalamata olives they put on their salads, though. That's my only complaint.

Different strokes for different folks. What's a nice guy to some, may be a sleazeball to others.

The birthday sign is in Allen. He is a native & they are proud of him.

Hepatitus A = Poop, Fecal matter, e-coli... What ever you prefer to call it. Always remember the "A" for anus. Got it!!

  19. Ok, you all hate the chain restaurants, & say we must support local. Now Old Mill is off limits, from the posts here so is Delmar Pizza, we certainly don't want to go to Andy's, Back Street is full of corumpt city/county executives, we don't even want to go to Mojo's, so what is left if you want a night out.

Hepatitis A (formerly known as infectious hepatitis) is an acute infectious disease of the liver caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). It is usually spread by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with infected feces.

  24. all Restaurants have sighting logs provided by their Pest Control Professionals ..over the years I have challenged this blog about providing a venue for often times competition to berate a competitor with slander and innuendo.. This is not Salisbury News intention I know because Joe is all about building not destroying ..however the guy that said something regarding fecal matter/ E-coli should go and ask for the sighting log or else shut up..
