The Daily Time Surprises Customers With A 25% Increase Today

Joe.

I received my daily times bill and found they have gone up to $21.73 for home delivery.. This is almost a 25% increase. No notice to customers.. Have cancelled it as of this AM.

  1. Imagine the things I could do for this community if I had only 25% of that from each viewer every month!

Heck, I'd bet we could actually clean up the RIVER in a very short period of time.

  2. And the sheeple keep paying for it.

  3. I just cancelled as well. I can go on line and get obituaries.

  4. I cancelled my subscription after 35 years. The contents of the paper aren't worthy of being call "news".

  5. Total rag. Don't waste your money. It's time for them to go away.

  6. The only good thing is the sunday paper filled with coupons and funnies. I don't read the news, I get it from Joe....

  7. Difference being Albero, you are the local version of the national enquire. They report verified stories and have some journalistic integrity. Which you know nothing about.

  8. anonymous 10:13, really? Let's see. Did the DT's reach 18,000,000 + in 2013?

Heck, did the DT's publish anywhere near the truthful local stories SBYNews published last year?

Your welcome to tell us where we've LIED?

Finally, YOU come here. That says a LOT right there now, doesn't it?

  9. sby news is the only place to go to get the real news. not propaganda and lies like dt and the rest of them.

  10. The only reason we subscribe to the Daily Times are the obituaries. If we could find these daily online free we would cancel the D/T.

  11. 10:13 must be Jonathen Taylor ..he is on a roll today with Holloway and Culver.I hope this election year we get this much needed change & have people in office who actually know whats its like to run a business and how to keep it going. I want someone who stands up to these people. We need to stress every day that everyone needs to get involved..and just maybe we get rid of his stupid blog, b/c he seems to think he was part of why these people were elected. He is so out in the weeds.

  12. The only reason I go to the Daily Times website is for the obits. You can see them without the subscription fee.

  13. FYI...not every subscriber is charged the same price...

  14. Let me run that paper. I'll bring it back to life, believe me.

  15. You would actually have to have an education and credentials to run a newspaper dipstick. You and this site are nothing more than a drama queen and gossip source.

  16. anonymous 11:36, Unlike YOU, I have a State Press Pass from the Governor. Just Sayin!

  17. Another waste of Maryland taxpayer spending. I don't care if that Press Pass only cost tax payers a nickle. Why should a MARYLAND Governor give a PRESS PASS to a DELAWARE citizen who has a blog. Oh that's right he is going to run for Prez so is thinking up ways to gain votes.

  18. Yup, the Almighty Joe Albero has a press pass from his favorite Governor. I wonder why that is? Hmmmmm...Too funny.

  19. lmao Joe that aint sayin much being it came from this governor!

  20. It only took you 9 years to get one.

  21. I detect jealousy within Daily Times employees. I'll have you know, none of their reporters have the honor of such a Press Pass and they make up their own in house, fake ones. None of their Reporters are registered with the state because they keep blowing through Reporters like there'no tomorrow.

CONSISTENCY, that's what they want from the state and I've delivered 9+ years of it.

Love me or hate me, as far as the state is concerned I am the ONLY legitimate Reporter on the entire Eastern Shore.

  22. They did send out letters telling about the price increase. Perhaps the poster did not receive theirs. Mind you I do not agree with it and am thinking about cutting back to just the Sunday paper so I can get my coupons! :-)

  23. 10:13 Surely you are joking, right? Right? You have some low standards if you would even use the DT to line a litter box.

  24. I knew my last comment would shut them up for good, because it's the TRUTH and Liberals cannot handle the TRUTH.

  25. give it up between sby news and local yahoo news you won't miss much

  26. 25% less news for a 25% increase. Sounds like they took their cue from the grocery store.

  27. Surprise! I don't subscribe to your paper anymore!

  28. Guess they're passing on the increased costs of OweBamacare.

In today's world publishing large fuzzy photos sent in by readers no longer qualifies as journalism!

  29. Note to those who subscribe for the OBITS - the DT fishwrap wanted $98 to print my aunt's obituary - I told them fuggetaboutit!

  30. Joe, I used to work at the Daily Times and belief me the leadership there is obsessed with you. Your name comes up in every meeting. Just ask Tom Claybaugh what he thinks of Joe Albero and then watch Claybaugh squirm. Its so funny to see.
