Put On Your Seat Belts Pittsville

Get ready to feel the pain Pittsville. This coming Monday night at 7:30 PM you'll want to be at the Town Hall Meeting as your Water and Sewer rates are about to increase 9% this year. Oh, that's not all!

Your rates will increase another 9% next year as well. That's a total of 18% over the next two years.

  1. Another 9% on top of the 9% increase? That would be a 19% increase over the next two years (18.81%). Math is fun.

  4. Shame on you 4:03 for saying that. No one should be punished this way. I wonder how many people in Pittsville voted for our very corrupt govnor O'smelly.

  7. If it would improve the water in this town I would be all for it. Sadly it won't. I'm sick of the smell of bleach in our water. Calling them does nothing they give you the same excuse over and over.

well,i hate to say this but the town has not really raised the fees in some time.i am ok with that. what i am not ok with is were is the town code enforcement officer? alot of locations look like $&!# holes, people leaving there fricken trash cans in plain view, full to the brim, for all to look @ all week. unpermited sheds glore!! as many as 4 or 5 on one lot!! and i am for sure none have the correct county permit. hell, one place has 4 in one yard that are all different colors with a bathtub out front to match.be nice when super sandy comes thru and tosses these unsecured sheds all over town. untagged vehicles galore! along with non permitted R.V.PARKS with rogues and vagabonds for tennants.the town drainage ditches are totally unacceptable too. bottlenecks everywere with nowhere for it to drain all the driveway pipes plugged or clogged.my christmas wish for 2013 is for joe albero to run for town mayor and clean up this $#i% hole.
