Dog Treats Recall Alert

On January 9, 2013, there were two voluntary recalls announced due to possible contamination with antibiotic residue.

  1. Chinese chicken jerky is not a good product to feed your dog. Dogs that eat these treats have had an apparent surge in kidney and liver problems. The FDA has not seriously studied the problem, but there is a ton of anecdotal evidence. It's a shame, too, since Chinese people don't like white meat. So turning this product into dog treats over there and shipping them here makes great economic sense that could potentially create healthy snacks that your dogs love.

    Waggin Train, Canyon Creek, and Milo's are all brands of jerky treats that are made in China. They get shipped to the US and then repackaged.
