O'Malley Seeks $45 Hike In 'Flush Fee'
The state, according to the governor, needs to increase the flush fee — officially called the Bay Restoration Fund — in order to keep enough money coming in to keep sewage plant upgrades and other pollution-busting projects on track.
The $75 plan hits the pocketbook harder than O’Malley’s initial plan.

Beck: ‘You Haven’t Lived Until You‘ve Been Threatened by the Nation of Islam’
You haven‘t lived until you’ve been threatened by the Nation of Islam…and sometimes, you don’t live after the Nation of Islam threaten’s your life.”
Those were the opening remarks of a segment on Tuesday evening’s episode of the Glenn Beck Program in which Glenn revealed how he was threatened by none other than rabid Antisemite Louis Farrakhan — or at least by his henchmen at The Nation.
The NOI official newspaper wrote over the weekend that Glenn Beck “is a minion of the Synagogue of Satan and as such represents the thinking of those used as their low-level pawns.”
The author continued: “The Holy Qur’an teaches Muslims to never be the aggressor in word or deed, but if attacked, we fight with those who fight with us.”

NBA Legend Charles Barkley Mocks NCAA Co-Host for Being ‘Republican’ and Blaming ‘Everything on the President’
Those who usually look forward to watching sports as a relief from the day’s politics were probably surprised on Tuesday night. That’s because politics and sports collided just minutes before 10 pm ET on Tuesday night when NBA legend Charles Barkley mocked co-host Kenny Smith, alleging Smith was a Republican because Smith suggested the president might be responsible for a delay in truTV’s airing of the first round of the NCAA tournament.
While waiting for the Iona and BYU game to start, which didn’t start on time, Smith suggested the delay might be due to the president attending the previous game and the related “security reasons.” That’s not that far-fetched, considering President Obama hosted British Prime Minister David Cameron for the game preceding the Iona-BYU game. But Barkley wasn’t having any of it.
“You can’t be making up stuff,” Barkley said while holding his hand to his head. “Oh yeah, you’re right, you’re right, you’re right, you’re right, you’re right. I forgot, you’re a Republican. Just make ‘em up as you go. Blame everything on the president. Ya’ll blame everything on the president.”
To be fair, the others in the studio we’re chuckling during the exchange. But some of it did seem to be a nervous laughter and the main studio host quickly moved on.

Virginia Eating Maryland’s Lunch for Jobs?
RICHMOND — Virginia’s unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in three years in January, signaling that a nascent economic recovery in the commonwealth could be a harbinger of things to come.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped from 6.1 percent in December to 5.8 percent in January — news that allows Gov. Bob McDonnell to pivot back to bread-and-butter items after a 2012 legislative session that was overrun with talk of social issues.
The Republican governor used the occasion Tuesday to announce that 13 bills to promote business have either been signed or are on the way to his desk.
“Talk is cheap,” Mr. McDonnell said after touring James River Air Conditioning in Richmond. “People want to see you actually put policies in place that will actually solve problems and get concrete results for the citizens of Virginia.”

Koran-Burning Probe Clears Troops of Malicious Intent
The Pentagon said Tuesday that a joint NATO-Afghan investigation into the burning of Korans at Bagram Air Field has been completed.
The investigation found that the “disposal process” of the Korans was improper but was not a malicious act intended to show disrespect for Afghans or Islam.
The probe was conducted by the International Security Assistance Force and the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
“It did find that there were some U.S. personnel who did improperly treat these religious texts, including some of their supervisory personnel,” said Navy Capt. John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesman. “And it recommended that they be reviewed for potential disciplinary action.”
A Tough-Oil World: Why Twenty-First Century Oil Will Break The Bank And The Planet
Oil prices are now higher than they have ever been -- except for a few frenzied moments before the global economic meltdown of 2008. Many immediate factors are contributing to this surge, including Iran’s threats to block oil shipping in the Persian Gulf, fears of a new Middle Eastern war, and turmoil in energy-rich Nigeria. Some of these pressures could ease in the months ahead, providing temporary relief at the gas pump. But the principal cause of higher prices -- a fundamental shift in the structure of the oil industry -- cannot be reversed, and so oil prices are destined to remain high for a long time to come.
In energy terms, we are now entering a world whose grim nature has yet to be fully grasped. This pivotal shift has been brought about by the disappearance of relatively accessible and inexpensive petroleum -- “easy oil,” in the parlance of industry analysts; in other words, the kind of oil that powered a staggering expansion of global wealth over the past 65 years and the creation of endless car-oriented suburban communities. This oil is now nearly gone.
Sharpton's Slurs Worse Than Rush?
While MSNBC recently battered talk-radio giant Rush Limbaugh for calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute,” the cable news channel apparently looked the other way when it hired Al Sharpton, now a primetime host of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” after he spewed the terms “homos,” “crackers,” “Chinamen,” “punk faggot” and the N-word freely.
On his March 5 “PoliticsNation” show on MSNBC, Sharpton ridiculed Limbaugh just as the talk-show host issued a second apology to Fluke “for using inappropriate words in a way I never do”:
NEVER using inappropriate words? Is that a joke? … This is absolutely appalling. He tries to apologize and he manages to insult leftists. … I am flat-out not buying the excuse. … We still haven’t heard from the Republican leadership. Where are they? Where’s the outrage? Someone show some leadership! … The bottom line is this apology was bogus. He doesn’t sound like a guy who’s really, truly sorry. This is not good enough. He needs to be taken off the air!
US Subjected Manning To Cruel, Inhuman, Degrading Treatment, UN Torture Chief Concludes
In an addendum to a report presented to the UN General Assembly on the protection of human rights, Juan Méndez wrote that "imposing seriously punitive conditions of detention on someone who has not been found guilty of any crime is a violation of his right to a physical and psychological integrity as well as his presumption of innocence."
Méndez told The Guardian UK Monday, "If the effects in regards to pain and suffering inflicted on Manning were more severe, they could constitute torture."
Spokespeople for the State Department and Department of Defense did not return calls seeking comment. Last year, PJ Crowley was forced to resign from his position as a State Department spokesman for publicly condemning Manning's treatment, which he characterized as "ridiculous, counterproductive and stupid."

A Southern Christian Woman's Take on 'GCB'

Christians, just like every other member of our species are human, too. And that means that some of us might even be quirky.
That combo is often funny.
I just wish Hollywood knew us well enough to portray us accurately. -- Considering that 83 percent of Americans call themselves Christians, there is certainly plenty of material.

GOP Attacks Obama With Gas Price Cudgel, While Media Ignores Refinery Closures
This narrative has dominated media coverage, as Jocelyn Fong insightfully dissects on Media Matters. Yet almost totally absent from the news has been how oil companies are pinching off the supply of gasoline by shutting down refineries. Strangely, this is occurring at a time of plentiful domestic oil supplies; the United States now exports more oil than it imports.
But NPR recently broke the mold of poor mainstream coverage—much of which blames rising prices on increasing tension between Iran, Israel and the United States—by broadcasting a story about the curious chain of refinery shutdowns on the East Coast. The United Steelworkers union (USW), which represents many oil refinery workers, has also been calling attention to three shutdowns in the Philadelphia area; two other refinery have closed on the East Coast during the last two years.

Massachusetts Student Banned From Wearing T-Shirt Saying 'All the cool girls are lesbians'
The principal of a Boston-area public high school is standing firm in his school's decision to ban a female student from wearing a T-shirt that says, "All The Cool Girls Are Lesbians."
Lynn English High School principal Tom Strangie told FoxNews.com that the student was asked to cover up the shirt because it was deemed "disruptive" by school administrators – not because of the student’s sexual orientation.
The student, who has not been publicly identified, was asked by Assistant Principal Joseph O'Hanagan to cover up the shirt after a teacher observed her wearing it in the school’s cafeteria.
The girl complied, but later penned a letter to Lynn mayor and school committee chairman Judith Flanagan Kennedy, saying she felt her right to free speech had been violated, according to the The Item newspaper, which obtained a copy of it.
She reportedly claimed in the letter that she was told not to wear the shirt “Because it's political and offensive to some people."
"Well, frankly, I'm the one who feels offended," she wrote.

"It's very bizarre," Ramsey told ABC News of the glitz-themed pageant show. "And it certainly ... Patsy (JonBenet's mother) and JonBenet didn't approach it that way. We ... they just did it for fun."
TLC had no comment on Ramsey's opinion of the network's show.
But now, almost 15 years after his daughter's death, Ramsey sees things differently. He wonders if what was once fun might have actually had a role in his daughter's still-unsolved murder.

'Dance Moms' 'Nude' Dance Routine Episode Playground for Pedophiles, Experts Say
Lifetime’s reality series “Dance Moms,” which follows young girls training at the Abby Lee Dance Company, is being ripped for its latest episode involving the child dancers wearing costumes that simulate nudity.
Tuesday night’s episode, titled “Topless Showgirls,” featured girls as young as eight performing a sexually charged, provocative showgirl-like routine in a local dance competition, donning barely-there sparkly flesh-colored bras and panties to give the illusion of nudity.
“All the girls and I feel kind of nervous because we feel kind of naked,” one of the dancers said prior to taking the stage.
Pyschological experts and parents groups we talked to are up-in-arms over the stripper-esque theme, and fear that the episode could act as encouragement for pedophiles and sexual predators.
Presenting Bridgewater's Weimar Hyperinflationary Case Study
The reason why Weimar will be critical, is that at the end of the day, Weimar, unlike some of the other successful case studies, is precisely what the global debt situation will require when all is said and done will be the model to imitate. Why? Because as BCG showed last year [13], the global debt overhang (on a net blended basis) to reduce global Debt to GDP to a "sustainable" 180%, would require the elimination of $21 trillion in debt, one way or another, with the excess debt concentrated primarily in the US ($8.2 trillion) and the Eurozone ($6.1 trillion).

Hurt 'Feelings' Not Enough for Federal Case
A federal case should not be based on somebody’s hurt “feelings,” according to a brief filed with the U.S. Supreme Court urging the justices to act in the dispute over the Mt. Soledad Memorial in San Diego, which features a cross.
The friend-of-the-court brief was filed by the Alliance Defense Fund on behalf of thousands of members of the United Retired Firefighters Association and the American Legion.
The case, brought in the 1980s by an atheist who claims to have been offended by the existence of the memorial’s symbol, has been elevated to the high court by the split decision of the often-overturned 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the cross should be removed.
The ADF brief said those who claim to be offended are suffering no injury.
Who Is Securing The Texas Border? How Private Contractors Mislead The Public, Then Get Rich Off Taxpayer Money
Roy “Mac” Sikes wasn’t wearing a white 10-gallon like the other top Texas Rangers attending the 2010 Texas Border Sheriffs Coalition meeting in El Paso. Mac, as the Texas Rangers and sheriffs call him, was going hatless. But that may have been because it’s not entirely clear which hat Mac should have been wearing – ranger, cop, or consultant?
Since 2006 many of the key figures in state-led border security operations and information campaigns have identified themselves as DPS employees or part of the Texas Rangers to the public, policy community and the media, disguising their true identities.
The business card he handed me during the sheriffs meeting identified Sikes as the director of the Border Security Operations Center (BSOC) – which is a type of fusion center for border-security operations in Texas. It’s a project of the Texas Rangers Division, which in turn is a branch of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
However, Mac Sikes is neither a Texas Ranger nor a DPS employee. Like most of the other key figures behind the Lone Star State’s border security campaign, Sikes is a contract employee.

Taliban Threaten to Behead Troops
Taliban militants threatened to behead Americans in Afghanistan, as gunmen opened fire Tuesday on a memorial service for civilians killed by a U.S. soldier and protests erupted over a series of U.S. actions that is spreading outrage throughout the country.
The threats and attack occurred as a NATO-Afghan investigation cleared U.S. troops of malicious intent in the accidental burning of Korans at a U.S. military base, one of several recent incidents that have sparked protests and emboldened the Taliban.
In Washington, President Obama called the weekend killings of 16 Afghan villagers, including nine children, a case of “murder,” but vowed that the violent reaction to the shootings would not deter the U.S. mission there.
Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, warned that the backlash from Sunday’s killing spree and earlier actions by U.S. troops plays into the hands of the Taliban as they fight to regain power in Afghanistan.
Got Propaganda? Why All Of The Milk Industry's Health Claims Have Been Proven Wrong
Selling milk looks easy and even fun when you see the celebrity milk-mustache ads. "Got Milk?" ads may be the most recognizable and spoofed of all ad campaigns, yet they are probably also one of the least successful: Milk sales have actually fallen every year since the ads began. The National Dairy Promotion and Research Program and the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Program admit "consumption has been declining for decades in the United States at about 1.0 percent per year," in their yearly reports to Congress but plead that their marketing has "helped mitigate at least some of this decline." Key words "help," "at least" and "some."
Why the milk-drinking slide? First, many U.S. groups simply do not drink much, or any, milk -- including ethnic minorities, those who are lactose intolerant or allergic, dieters, the health conscious, and vegans. Kids themselves often dislike milk -- probably why they invented chocolate and flavored milk -- and it is often the last choice among teens and tweens, on whom much milk marketing is focused. Healthcare professionals, unless subsidized by the dairy industry, seldom recommend milk because of its cholesterol, fat, calories, allergens and impurities and its possible links to rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone) since milk made with the cow milk enhancer has never been labeled. Benjamin Spock, the famous baby boom-era pediatrician, recommended no milk for children after age two to reduce their risks of heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and diet-related cancers.

Obama Announces Trade Case Against China, Says US Workers Must Have 'Fair Shot'
WASHINGTON – President Obama announced a new trade case against China Tuesday, accusing the country of messing with the global marketplace by imposing unfair restrictions on key exports used to make everything from high-tech batteries to flat-screen TVs.
Obama, stressing a tough-on-China approach in an election year, said his administration brought the case so American workers would have a "fair shot in the global economy."
The president claims that China's restrictions on exports of materials known as rare earth have made it difficult for American companies to build the technology that uses those materials.
"We want our companies building those products right here in America, but to do that American manufacturers need to have access to rare earth materials which China supplies," Obama said.

Lake Democratic Party Head Removes Obama Flag Veterans Termed 'Desecration'
TAVARES — A flag depicting an image of President Barack Obama was taken down from Lake County Democratic Party headquarters today after several veterans complained it was a "desecration."
A short confrontation at the Democratic office ended when party chairwoman Nancy Hurlbert took down the controversial flag, which had been flying under an American flag on the same flagpole.
"It's a cult of personality to show his face, like Stalin or Mao," said John Masterjohn, a former Marine and retired schoolteacher from Leesburg. "It's despicable. They don't realize how sick they are."
But Hurlbert said it was the first time that anyone had complained about the flag, which was given as a gift and had been flying for several months without any response from the public.
"I was surprised," she said after taking down the flag. "No one had called us. We have a phone."

Two 9/11 Suspects on Gitmo Hunger Strike, Sources Say
At least two of the suspects in the 9/11 terror attacks have been on hunger strikes at the Guantanamo Bay detention camps since January, Fox News has learned.
The men, among the so-called “high value 14” who were transferred from the CIA secret prisons in 2006 to the Navy base in Cuba, are protesting conditions at Guantanamo’s Camp 7 and a new policy in which communications between detainees and their defense lawyers are reviewed for security purposes, according to knowledgeable sources who would not provide further detail.
It is not clear whether the men are refusing all foods and fluids or whether they are eating only on an occasional basis.
Defense Department spokesman Todd Breasseale said he could not discuss health-related issues of the 9/11 suspects, adding, “the physical well-being of detainees is our primary responsibility, and their security is of vital importance to our mission there. ... Hunger strikes are a form of non-violent protest, and those few who have engaged in this practice are monitored so that their health is never in any real danger. Their vital statistics are routinely monitored and they are not allowed to endanger their lives.”
Bill Maher And The Last Bastion Of The Intellectually Lazy
However, this past Friday evening Bill Maher–who is now well aware that even those on his own side of the aisle have grown weary of his misogyny–decided to move on from picking on women to picking on poor people. Maher sent Alexandra Pelosi (the daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) to rural Mississippi to supposedly interview prospective Republican voters about the upcoming Mississippi primary. While Ms. Pelosi’s video aired during Maher’s show, he, Jon Hamm and some other liberals on his panel sneered at the poor, barely literate people in the video (see the video below). Francis Martel of Mediate implied that Maher and his panel were elitist when she wrote that they were “mocking rural Mississippi residents from a smug Hollywood perch”. While I agree with Ms. Martel that elitism was definitely on display here, something else more sinister was afoot.

Media Works Hard To Protect Obama On Gas Prices

Voters blame president for gas prices, experts say not so fast
How much does the president have to do with the price of gasoline?
A lot, say American voters. According to oil experts and economists, not so much — at least in the short term.
Short term, huh? How about for a few years, and continuing to rise? The average price hit $3.80+ Monday. It’s been above $3 for over two years. Obama’s policies, and discussion of policies, are part of the problem with. He provides no solutions
Today’s oil prices are the product of years and decades of exploration, automobile design and ingrained consumer habits combined with political events in places such as Sudan and Libya, anxiety about possible conflict with Iran, and the energy aftershocks of last year’s earthquake in Japan.
True on exploration: Democrats, including Obama, have done all they could to stop it. Auto design? Auto’s are being designed to be more fuel efficient: that should help decrease demand, reducing price. Nope. Political events? How about a president putting in place moratoriums, blocking drilling, ditching Keystone XL, and so on? Certainly more important for domestic pricing than Libya and Sudan. We don’t even get oil from Libya. Earthquake? OK. But, in Liberal World, nothing is Obama’s fault. The rest of the article goes on to attempt to prove that it is Not Obama’s Fault, and that there is Nothing He Can Do. Even though they blamed Bush for the prices. Heck, Obama blamed Bush
Baltimore Officer Suspended for Grocery Theft
BALTIMORE - Baltimore police say an officer has been suspended after her daughter, who worked as supermarket cashier, allegedly charged her mother about $100 for more than $400 in groceries.
Police say 41-year-old Darlene Early was charged after a security guard at the Food Depot on Belair Road noticed her daughter, 18-year-old Ciara Anderson, was incorrectly entering prices. A police report said the total bill should have been $401.86 and Early was charged $101.28.
Police say Early has been charged with attempted theft and Anderson has been charged with conspiracy to commit theft. Both charges are misdemeanors.
Police say Early, who joined the force in 1990, was assigned to a detective unit. She has been suspended and an internal affairs investigation is pending.

The last thing you want is Santorum as the Republican presidential nominee. But the more votes for Santorum takes away from Romney. And makes it more likely the Republican party heads to the convention without a candidate who has enough delegates to win.
A brokered convention makes the delegates Ron Paul is accumulating very valuable. He can use them as a negotiating item to demand something BIG from Romney. Or, if you really want to dream, Dr. Paul's delegate count leads to a second or third round of voting, with a Ron Paul nomination victory.

Miserable ‘Women’
We tend to reflect it in our laws — at least family law — and, largely, we still seem to carry it culturally. We know it innately, and it’s one reason why the “women’s health” rhetoric, of which we’ve heard so much lately, resonates to the point at which it drowns out any and all details of a given policy, controversy, or testimony.
But such purported respect for women and mothers can ring hollow.
Take, for instance, the Radio and TV Correspondents dinner. The announced host of the annual Washington-meets-Hollywood gala was “comedian” Louis C. K., brought in, we were told, to give the event “a bit of an edge.” He has now pulled out, but with that invitation, decency fell off a cliff.

Reagan VS Obama
Unfortunately, similar efforts in the House have stalled out as Republicans hold funding hostage in exchange for the Keystone pipeline. When Reagan came into office back in 1981 during the worse economic recession since the Great Depression – he, and Congress, increased government spending by 12% over the next four years to get America out of that recession. But today – Congress has forced President Obama to CUT government spending – which is why the economic recovery has been slow. Luckily for Reagan – Mitch McConnell wasn't dedicating his every effort to make him a one-term President.
3 Md. Waterways Opened for Shellfish Harvesting
BALTIMORE - The Maryland Department of the Environment has lifted shellfish harvesting restrictions in portions of three waterways following a decline in bacteria levels.
Officials said Monday that an area of the Wicomico River at the border of Wicomico and Somerset counties has been approved for harvesting.
The headwaters of a Potomac River tributary, also named the Wicomico River, have also been approved. The area is at the border between Charles and St. Mary's counties. In addition, a section of St. Catherine Sound in St. Mary's County near the mouth of the Potomac has been approved.
The headwaters of Broad Creek in Talbot County have been conditionally approved for harvesting. That means oysters and clams cannot be harvested for three days following rainfall of one inch or more over 24 hours.

WELL OWNERS ENCOURAGED TO HAVE WATER SAMPLED ANNUALLY
“Having your well sampled annually is essential in knowing your water quality. Spring is the perfect time to have your water sampled and tested,” said DiCintio. “Every drop of water we use, stems from groundwater. As we enter the season of peak water use, it's important to ensure our well is functioning correctly. It is also essential to know if our water quality has changed,” he added. The Health Department also recommends testing water when there is a change in taste, odor, appearance, if residents in the household become pregnant, or when the well system is serviced.
Health Department officials recommend the following preventative measures to help homeowners safeguard their community’s water quality:
· Keep hazardous chemicals, such as paint, fertilizer, pesticides, and motor oil far away from the well, and maintain a "clean" zone of at least 50 feet between well and any kennels and livestock operations.
· Maintain proper separation between well and buildings, waste systems, and chemical storage areas.
· Periodically check the well cover or well cap on top of the casing (well) to ensure it is in good repair and securely attached. Its seal should keep out insects and rodents. The top of the well should be at least one foot above the ground.
· Slope the ground away from your well for proper drainage. Do not pile snow, leaves, or other materials around your well.
· Be careful never to hit the casing with a lawn mower or vehicle, or strike it with any force.
· Maintain your septic system. Improperly functioning septic systems are a major cause of well contamination.
· Find any old wells on your property and have them abandoned and sealed by a licensed well driller.
· Consult with a qualified well inspector to ensure your well is problem free.
· Properly dispose hazardous household wastes. Check the labels and follow directions.
· When your well has reached its serviceable life (usually 20 or more years), have a licensed or certified water well driller and pump installer decommission the existing well and construct a new well.
· Keep accurate records of well maintenance.
WELLOWNER.ORG is a resource for well owners, providing information on well maintenance and water quality. For questions, to schedule a water sample, or to inquire about related fees, county residents may call the Wicomico County Health Department Environmental Health Division at (410) 546-4446.
Ron Paul’s Devious Plan To Steal The Presidency
Well, I’ve changed my mind. Big time.
Yesterday I attended the Republican organizational convention for my Senate district here in Minnesota, and what I witnessed was an organized take-over of our nomination process by Ron Paul cultists. They came to this convention with the sole intent to take over as many of the delegate seats as they could, and sadly, they succeeded.
When I arrived at the convention and took my place with my fellow precinct delegates, I quickly noticed that something was awry. As soon as the man leading the convention(the Convention Chair) began to ask if there were any motions to bring to the floor, several Paulbots lept to their feet to make motions asking to “suspend” the rules so that people who were in attendance could add their names to the delegate nominations. Before the convention, delegates had been contacted to see if we were interested in running for the State Delegate positions, and we were given plenty of time to put our names in the hat to run for these positions.
The Paulbots, who did NOT submit their names prior to the convention, were now demanding that they should added to the list of nominees that very day. This is normally outside of the rules, but the Paulbots(there were at least 50 of them spread throughout the auditorium) through a suspension of the rules, demanded that they be added to the list of nominees. It was difficult to override their votes, as they had descended en masse to this event, and the unsuspecting non-Paul delegates were confused as to what was going on!
After some manipulative moves on the floor, and by using Roberts Rules of order AGAINST the Convention Chair, they were able to add all of their names to the delegate nominations.
I’ve never seen such unmitigated rudeness at a convention before. The Paulbots would leap to their feet screaming “Point of order!” every time they thought that the chair was being dismissive of them.

Look who wants to enact Islamic law
Critics of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations say they are not surprised that one of its former leaders is now running for president in Egypt with a pledge to implement Islamic law in the wake of the country’s revolution.
Bassem Khafagi, CAIR’s former community affairs director, declared his intentions in a speech aired on Egypt’s Al-Nas TV and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.
“Let me tell you, in all honesty, that as a Muslim Egyptian, I am convinced of [the need to] complete the implementation of Islamic law in Egypt,” Khafagi said.
“I do not hide this truth in any way, because it is in keeping with the inclination of the Egyptian people.”
CAIR was named by the U.S. Justice Department as an indicted co-conspirator in a major terrorist-financing scheme. Khafagi, himself, was arrested in 2003 on terror-related charges while working for CAIRMore
Blitzing The Department Of Education
I think American children and their parents deserve more than an unconstitutional, one-size-fits-all federal education system. I think local governments and individual parents have the constitutional right to decide how and where children go to school. Let’s eliminate the Department of Education.
The Department of Education is unconstitutional because it violates the Tenth Amendment, which states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” There is no federal mandate for public education in the Constitution, so no one has a constitutional right to an education subsidized by federal taxpayer dollars.
To be exact, since the Constitution does not mention “education” as a federal function, Congress should have voted to amend the Constitution in order to give the federal government the power to regulate education. Since Congress never amended the Constitution, the federal Department of Education remains unconstitutional.
The Department of Education was initially a minor office within the government. However, President Jimmy Carter decided that he wanted to be in charge of education. So, on October 17, 1979, he signed a law promoting the Department to cabinet-level and placing education under the purview of the executive branch.

QUOTES OF THE DAY 3-14-12
― Günter Grass
“We know – it has been measured in many experiments – that children with strong impulse control grow to be better adjusted, more dependable, achieve higher grades in school and college and have more success in their careers than others. Success depends on the ability to delay gratification, which is precisely what a consumerist culture undermines. At every stage, the emphasis is on the instant gratification of instinct. In the words of the pop group Queen, “I want it all and I want it now.” A whole culture is being infantilised.”
― Jonathan Sacks
“The faster you go, the idler you get.”
― Ferreira Gullar
“The child tends to be stripped of all social influences but those of the market place, all sense of place, function and class is weakened, the characteristics of region and clan, neighborhood or kindred are attenuated. The individual is denuded of everything but appetities, desires and tastes, wrenched from any context of human obligation or commitment. It is a process of mutilation; and once this has been achieved, we are offered the consolation of reconstituting the abbreviated humanity out of the things and the goods around us, and the fantasies and vapors which they emit. A culture becomes the main determinant upon morality, beliefs and purposes, usurping more and more territory that formerly belonged to parents, teachers, community, priests and politics alike.”
― Jeremy Seabrook
“We typically misunderstand what’s wrong about consumerism. It’s not that it makes us love material things too much. To be a good consumer, you have to desire to get lots of things, but you must not love any of them too much once you have them. Consumerism needs children who do not stay attached to their toys for very long and learn to expect the next round of presents as soon as possible. When consumerism succeeds, our attachments are shallow, easily broken, so we can move on to the next thing we’re supposed to get. Being a good consumer means desiring new things, not cherishing old ones. And the new things you’re supposed to desire are not always material things. Spirituality is now a consumerist enterprise, too.”

An Administration Gone Rogue
Last week, Obama administration officials made it clear that even the fig leaf of congressional participation provided by the 2003 "authorization" to use force in Iraq was to be ignored as well. In a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta stated clearly and repeatedly that the administration felt it was legally justified to use military force against Syria solely with "international permission." Such "international permission" could come by way of the United Nations, NATO, or some other international body. Secretary Panetta then told Senator Sessions that depending on the situation, the administration would consider informing Congress of its decision and might even seek authorization after the fact.
While Senator Sessions expressed surprise at the casual audacity of Panetta in making this statement, in reality his was just a bluntly stated explanation of what has been, de facto, the case for many years. When President Obama committed the US military to a pre-emptive war against Libya last year, for example, Congress was kept completely out of the process. Likewise, military action in Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and so on proceed without a congressional declaration. In fact, we haven't had a proper, constitutional declaration of war since 1942, yet the US military has been engaged in Korea, Lebanon, Iraq, Bosnia, Liberia, Haiti and Libya with only UN resolutions as the authority. Congress's only role has been authorizing funds, which it always does without question because one must "support the troops."

Obama’s Covert Plan To Raise Gas Prices
It’s no secret that we’re being gouged at the pumps. The reason for soaring gas prices? According to Obama, it’s not because of anything he has done — not his devaluing the dollar via his disastrous economic decisions, his closing federal lands for oil production opened by his predecessor, his passing cap-and-trade legislation in the middle of the worst economy since the Great Depression or his refusing to stand strong against the regime in Iran, which controls 20 percent of the world’s oil supply via the Strait of Hormuz.
President Obama would do well to take his own advice; in regard to the possibility of $3-a-gallon gas in 2006, the then senator said, “The time for excuses is over.”
To add insult to injury, Obama has appointed some petroleum-pillaging politicians, such as Energy Secretary Steven Chu, who, according to The Wall Street Journal, said in 2008 that in order to wean Americans off gasoline, the administration should make them punitively pay at the pump: “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Will Biden Be Interim President Before The End Of This Year?
AP - WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the school transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship.
This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as President article titled, "Obama Eligibility Questioned," leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama's first official visit to the U.K.
In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey . This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president.. Donofrio's case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama's citizenship or qualification to serve as president.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.

Subject: RE: Issue of Passport?
While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question: What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta and Karachi?
So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York, Jakarta and Karachi, what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration?
The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a rather short and simple one:
Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A: Yes, by his own admission.
Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities. 1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport, 2) He traveled with a British passport, or 3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.
Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981. Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport. If he were traveling with a British passport, that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport, that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967. Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.
Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.
As Long As Our Parents Are Alive, We're Still Young
Well, it's true. I have one parent who is alive and one who has unfortunately passed. However, I can remember what seemed like a million years ago when I held a 50th Birthday Party for my Mother and I have to be completely honest. I thought, 50, wow, that's old.
This month I will celebrate my 50th Birthday. Man, I must be really old. Nah, that can't be true because I have yet to desire buying a local newspaper to look at the Obituaries, right? I will say this though. I received a Birthday Card in the mail from the state of Delaware. I thought, that's pretty cool. That is, until I opened the envelope and the card inside was a reminder that I should have a colon screening. So, here we go again, I must be getting old, right?
I'm sure that those of you who have been unfortunate to lose one or both of your parents suddenly changes the way you think about life and just how long we'll be on this earth. I did for me. I've never been one to have this desire to watch everything I eat, exercise to stay fit in the hopes of living longer. While that may be the desire of some, I grew up with a Grandmother, (now in her 90's) who fried everything on the stove, loved her Scotch, cigarettes and the nasty polluted air her entire life in New York City.
The way I see it is, we'll live to whenever the good Lord wants us. We have a purpose for being here and it's our job to recognize just what that purpose is. I have been fortunate enough to have children, travel, operate several businesses and ultimately to this date deliver news and information I had hoped the MSM would have done, but they don't.
Yeah, 50 years old is old, I guess. However, I don't feel 50. I'm not limping, gasping for air, heck, my hair isn't even grey yet. However, I am regularly bitching about our government. I do complain a lot about the price of gas. I am forgetting a lot lately, how convenient, right? I am fatter than I would like to be, I'm working on that. Can you tell I have ADD, oh look, a chicken.
Now where was I. Oh yeah, the Blog thing. Or was it, oh, nevermind, it doesn't matter. One of these days I'll learn to write things down so I can remember where I was when, well, you know. I've been trying lately to recall where I put that pad of paper. I wrote some things down on it so I could remember but I can't remember what that was or where I put it. I know I'm good though because I remember that I lost it. Oh look, another chicken.
Getting back to my point, was there a point? So the state wants to probe me on my 50th Birthday. You have to give it to them, they give you a date you can't forget, your Birthday. I can go to my regular doctor and he'll say, have you been taking those pills like I said Joe. Well, yeah, when I remember where I put them. Why don't you write it down Joe. Because I lose that too. Don't you lose things Doc? They make pills for that too.
So am I getting to that age where I'll be popping a pill to get up in the morning, to fall asleep at night, to remember where I put that stupid pad of paper so I can remember when to take one of those damn pills the doctor keeps giving me crap about. Oh look, a chicken!
And what's all this talk about the "blue pill". Is that a morning pill. You know, when its time to get up? It must be awfully popular because they even have it plastered on a NASCAR. Viagra, what kind of name is that. At my age I can think of a lot of names for that pill and it wouldn't be Viagra. I'll come back another day with those names when I can remember them. I know, I'll write them down on that pad I left in the, CRAP, I thought if I said it I'd remember where I put it.
In the mean time, turning 50 sucks. You have a lot less to look forward to and a lot more to be bitchy about, I think? Hey state of Delaware. I'm planning on eating that damn Birthday Card you sent me the night before I come in for that exam. I'll have a present for you too, Biotch!
Oh, and for any of you wanting to wish me a Happy Birthday, you too now know where you can shove it.
Voter ID Efforts Similar To The Old, Segregated South
A Wisconsin judge has halted implementation of that state’s voter identification law before its April primary, responding to an NAACP lawsuit that contends voters without driver’s licenses are “disproportionately elderly, indigent, or members of a racial minority.” Likewise, the Republican proposal in Pennsylvania is nothing more than a new form of a poll tax, similar to those imposed to turn away black voters in the old, segregated South.
So-called voter-ID rules would hit the old, young, poor, and minority voters the hardest — a slice of the electorate least likely to have government-issued identification of the type required under the measure approved Wednesday by the state Senate.
The fact that this group of voters disproportionately leans toward Democratic candidates, particularly in Philadelphia and other urban areas, uncovers the voter-ID proposal for what it is — a blatant bid for a GOP advantage at the polls.

Edit Draft BREAKING NEWS: Obama, Cameron Hold Joint Press Conference
Surprise: American Tyrant Who Enslaves
Cameron has been doing interviews to promote “Monumental,” but CNN’s Piers Morgan turned his March 2 appearance into a trial on “gay marriage” and abortion.
Did Morgan, knowing full-well that Cameron was promoting the movie, allow the filmmaker to discuss his new historical documentary?
Cameron told WND: “No, he didn’t. I even asked him between segments on a commercial break if he would please have the courtesy to let me share a little bit about the film and he did not.”
Cameron answered questions in keeping with Christianity, yet Morgan accused him of inflammatory remarks and bigotry. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation attempted to frame Cameron as an out-of-date former teen idol and “anti-gay extremist.”
