A flatbed 18-wheeler truck was reportedly carrying veterans, wives and their girlfriends for the "Hunt for Heroes" parade in Midland when it was hit by a train.
At least four deaths have been reported and at least 16 people have been taken to nearby hospitals, according to MyFoxDFW.com.
I don't want to place blame on anyone but just how the hell could this happen? truck driver didn't see train? It's easy to armchair quarterback but geesh, come on. You're hauling people on a flat bed and you don't look at a rr crossing?

ReplyDeleteHunt for Heroes is part of Wounded Warrior. They may have not had the option to "jump".
Wheel chairs could've easily been pushed right off.and you can't tell me they were all up there alone without anybody that wasn't handicapped. If they were good enough to load on a trailer they're good enought to move around some.not like they loaded up soldiers in the iron lung and paraded them around. And most of the wounded warriors project is soldiers who have overcome there handicaps and functioning in society. It's why they showboat them.to raise money.to show the country with our support the soldiers can recover like them.
