Chick-Fil-A Creates Major Traffic Jam
The people continue to speak out by showing up at Chick-Fil-A. You have to wait at the front door just to get into the restaurant.
I'm thinking I may have to get out there around 6 PM tonight. Maybe I'll bring some Albero for Mayor tee shirts to let people know this candidate supports their cause. What do you think?
From a follower: Joe,
When I got to CFA today at 12:10, the drive through line started at M&T Bank and at the turn behind WaWa from the other direction. The line was twice around the building. I counted 90 cars on Kohl's parking lot alone. I bravely got in the pedestrian line which was out the doors, and waited. By the time I got my food and sat down to eat, (Yes, there was still plenty of seats available!) it was only 40 minutes from when I had first parked!
EVERYONE there was smiling, laughing, and generally having a great time.
When I left at 1:00, I counted cars again in Kohl's lot...140! The drive up lines were just as long, and everyone was still smiling away! It is fantastic to see this kind of support for this cause.
How on earth are they keeping up with the demand? They must have trucks making deliveries 2 or 3 times a day to each location.Amazing.
ReplyDeleteBe a good time for Mountaire or Perdue to step up and take a trailer full of chicken over there! lol I would sincerely love to see other companies in area to show support!!!
ReplyDeleteThat mayor gave the best advertisement one could give.
ReplyDeleteThe U.S. is full of idiots , you go Chick-Fil-A.
The crowd makes me so happy , or should I say so gay.
Hey Joe! NOT ONE WORD about this great movement on Delmarva.com!! Case is closed on why huh??? Support the Mayor gone down on the .....uh I mean go down with the mayor! oops What a waste of paper! Perhaps those at CFA today could boycott the Daily Times eh??
ReplyDeletePerdue and Mountaire already sell to them.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great day in the neighborhood...hehehe...take that you lefties.
ReplyDeleteI'll be glad when this story is over!
ReplyDeleteWhat cause? Support the cause of disrimination? Not me.
ReplyDelete4:34 What discrimination?
ReplyDelete4:34 Gotta agree - every body needs to discriminate against those who stand up for their beliefs.
ReplyDeleteHope this tide carries through to kill the MD ballot initiative and replace that useless excuse we have for a President.
The City of Salisbury is to far gone to worry about pretty boy, though it would be wonderful to give Joe A a try at recouping what had been a fine City.
How is expressing one's opinion an act of discrimination? This isn't China or Cuba where one needs to carefully monitor one's words or face imprisonment!
ReplyDeleteMost of us females are married to pigs. And that's legal. Maybe the president of Chick Fil A can do something about that.
ReplyDeleteIf you think you married a pig, why are you still married to the pig? Nobody can fix that except you.
DeleteIn mary land it's the law! You will think correctly. Your not living in the dark ages now. Get over it.
ReplyDeleteThe only "cause" here is free speech and the right of someone to hold a belief. I'm a supporter of same-sex marriage but I supported Chick-fil-a today because they have a right to hold any belief they want as long as they obey the laws like everyone else. We don't need thought police.
ReplyDeleteGay people, stay away from Chick-fil-A! Go to your own restaurants!
ReplyDelete"Most of us females are married to pigs."
ReplyDeleteWell gee, that was your choice! Or are you from India and have to suffer though an arranged marriage.
Quit bitching about the choices YOU made!
Everyone at that store was under so much pressure and was just working SO HARD and making it look EASY! Smiling and asking, "May I help the next Guest?", meals were going off the counter inside @ about one a minute on a 40 minute backup delay between order to serve. Everyone keeping their noses to the grindstone and keeping up at task. One glitch or backup, you would hear from another employee,"I got this!" and the machine rolled on! It was just plain and simple a beautiful sight! The customers from inside to drive up to parking lot were all giving each other a lot of "thumbs ups" and smiles and handshakes were being traded everywhere, and I do include those overworked souls behind the counter! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR OUR FIRST AMENDMENT! Thank you, Mr. Cathy, for your honesty and beliefs! I can honestly say for the welfare of your employees, even with double and triple deliveries, that there will be enough of us visitors to run your ass out of food today! If we cna do that, I'll go over there and take the employees out to a fellow restaraunt for a sit down meal with drinks! YOU GUYS ROCK!
ReplyDelete5:24 and where are those gay restaurants. For real?
ReplyDeleteChick-Fil-A is a company, not a person. I don't know how this whole story started, but honestly why do we care what the owner's stance is on gays? I say if you like their food, go there if you don't like their food, don't go there.

Speak for yourself not for "most of us females." Myself and all my friends are married to highly successful accomplished gentlemen. If you made a poor decision on what should be one of the most important choices of your life, than that's your problem for being a stupid female.
I think its great that this much support still exists for a person who stood for the values in which they believe in. I personally hate the fact that traditional norms are constantly challenged by those who don't agree. Plainly put, if you don't agree or believe in something, then don't support it. But don't try to force your beliefs and demand change. This country was created with a foundation of religion, and that foundation is consistently damaged by those who don't share those same beliefs. I'm not saying you have to agree, but people need to realize that with the deterioration of faith in our society comes crime and chaos. Way to go Chick fil a!!!! You have my support.....Maybe the leftist media will see that the general population still has a few moral beliefs left in thier lives....
ReplyDeleteThank God people are showing support for what is right!
ReplyDelete5:41 you are the one who picked the "pig" so don't complain to us females who had more brains than to pick guys who wallow in mud.
ReplyDeleteI Love It!
ReplyDeleteThe bottom line is the pro homosexual politicians like omalley and the pro homosexual organizations such as GLAAD have done more to cause anti homosexual sentiment and homophobia than any anti gay/Christian organization could ever hope to create.
ReplyDeletePoliticians such as omalley and obama have done nothing more than use the gay community for their votes knowing full well referedum would overturn same sex marriage as in CA the most liberal state in the country. They don't care about your "rights." They care about your vote and you all are falling for it as the anti gay sentiment is building by leaps and bounds.
I believe the majority has spoken. I would love to hear the nationwide gross sales for today.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great everyone stood together on something they all agreed upon.
ReplyDeleteI would also think it would be great if these same people show some compassion and understanding for the gays that work at chick-fil-a.
Even if we disagree with their lifestyle they are still human beings.
Let's take the high road on this. We can make a stand and still show love. Isn't that what Jesus would want us to do?
I hope what I'm saying makes sense to all of you and I'm saying it in such a way that you can understand it.
