1% Tax On All Bank Transactions

YOU HAD BETTER WATCH THIS GUY AND CONGRESS, THEY ARE GOING TO HURT US SOME MORE AND THIS ONE WILL HAVE A MAJOR IMPACT THOUGH IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE MUCH. GET THESE GUYS OUT OF OFFICE!!

1% tax on all bank transactions

Heard about this one? These people are unbelievable. Watch for phrases like "share the wealth" and "for all to share in the prosperity"

One percent transaction tax is proposed President Obama's finance team is recommending a
transaction tax. His plan is to sneak it in after the November election to keep it under the radar.

This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution i. e. Banks, Credit Unions, etc.. Any deposit you make, or move around within your account, i. e. transfer to, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social Security or whatever is direct deposit, 1% tax charged.

If you hand carry a check in to deposit, 1% tax charged, If you take cash in to deposit, 1% tax charged. This is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000 per year, you
will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn.

Some will say aw it's just 1%... remember once the tax is there they can raise it at will. Check these two links and google transaction tax.

Resume: Delaware State Police robbery detectives are asking the publics help in identifying a subject who cashed a check that was stolen in a robbery in Bear.

The pictured female subject entered the TD Bank located on Christiana Road in New Castle and proceeded to cash a bank check that had been stolen in a strong arm robbery that had occurred at the Wawa Store located at 1605 Pulaski Highway, Bear, DE on Monday, April 12, 2010 at approximately 1:55 p.m. In the incident a male suspect had entered an unlocked vehicle belonging to a 47 year old Newark woman and removed her purse from inside. The victim observed the suspect in her car as she exited the Wawa, screamed, and then ran towards her vehicle. The suspect then got into a maroon older model Chevrolet Blazer and began to flee from the parking lot. The victim was able to run after and catch up to the vehicle. She then attempted to grab her purse from the suspect, however, he punched the victim causing her to let go of the purse. The suspect then fled the parking lot onto northbound Salem Church Road. The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years of age, pale complexion, dark hair, with a thin beard. The victim was not injured. On Tuesday, April 13, 2010, bank surveillance cameras captured the pictured female cashing a check that had been in the victim’s purse that was stolen from the Wawa the previous day.

Detectives are asking anyone who may know the identity of the female subject to contact Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 214 or 6 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.

DE Primary – US Senate

The Tea Party is in revolt because the First State GOP is supporting former governor and incumbent Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE) to take the seat previously held by VP Joe Biden.  They should be in revolt.  They deserve a better candidate than Tea Party favorite Christine O’Donnell.  We reluctantly support Mike Castle because he is the best alternative in a race that has degenerated into something uncommon in Delaware politics – a sticky, stinking bog.

It is true that Castle’s record is too liberal for out tastes.  However, Mike Castle would serve Delaware, and our nation, far better than New Castle County Executive Chris Coons (the presumptive Democrat nominee).  It is also true that Castle’s record is not as bad as O’Donnell and her minions would have you believe.  The Tea Party Express wants Delawareans to support O’Donnell, in part, because of Castle’s vote for TARP.  Fair enough.  We opposed it as well.  Are these same groups arguing for the defeat of Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) or Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) for the same reasons?  NO!

O’Donnell and her backers want us to believe that she is a candidate in the same vein as Marco Rubio, Sharon Angle, or Joe Miller.  O’Donnell is not.  These candidates ran clear, issues based campaigns based on conservative ideas and a consistent philosophy.  O’Donnell has decided that saying anything, no matter how untrue, is acceptable as long as she wins the nomination.

O’Donnell has proven herself unworthy to hold a seat in the US Senate.  When her issues based campaign was unable to gain traction against the “establishment backed” Castle, O’Donnell and surrogates mounted a scurrilous campaign of rumor mongering which culminated in a former O’Donnell campaign aide claiming that Castle was carrying on a clandestine affair … with a man.

In the last couple of weeks Castle has gone negative, in a pretty vicious way.  O’Donnell is whining that she is being “smeared by the GOP establishment”.  She is.  There is just one difference; the claims being put forward about O’Donnell are not only true – they are easily verifiable.

Brew River Boat Docking Contest

Talk about the best form of entertainment around! The Boat Docking Contest at Brew River was yet another blast. Everyone was a winner and no one was a loser, that's for sure.

Flea entertained the crowd in many different ways but what drove the crowd nuts was the free giveaways. Salisbury News provided a dozen "YOU'VE BEEN BLOGGED" tee shirts and the hands went up everywhere.

In the photos below this post, a couple of boats had some mishaps by either hitting a dock or piling, snapping one in half and boards flying on the pier as the pressure from the impact sent them airborne.

It was jammed packed again this year and no one can claim they didn't get their money's worth. We want to thank Frank Hannah and Brew River for providing their location for this event. We'll see you again next year!

Primary Will Decide Almost Half Of State Senate, Much Of House, And Shakeup Larger Counties

Although the general election is still two months away, the results of Tuesday’s primary will decide many of Maryland’s next set of leaders.

Almost half the members of the Maryland Senate will be decided by the end of the primary Tuesday evening, as a small percentage of voters in 13 legislative districts dominated by one party choose their senators. Another 10 members in the 47-member Senate have no opposition at all.

The same is true for scores of members of the 141-seat House of Delegates, as Democrats choose nominees in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties and Baltimore City. These nominees will have little or no opposition in the general election. Six other districts dominated by Republicans will also select representatives who will likely take seats in the House.

Voters will also begin a complete shake-up of local government in two of Maryland’s largest counties – Prince George’s and Baltimore – choosing new county executives and much of their county councils. The Democratic winners in Prince George’s will be in charge; no Republicans have been elected to office there in eight years.

Pakistani Plea: Make Obama Supreme Leader Of Muslims

Prez urged to offer Eid prayers at WTC site on 9/11 anniversary

A Pakistani newspaper is quoting one of the country's ministers as stating he wants President Obama to offer Muslim prayers at Ground Zero and become the "Caliph," or ruler, of the Islamic nation.

"The coming Eid would expectedly be observed on 9/11; this a golden opportunity for President Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero and become Amir-ul-Momineen or Caliph of Muslims. In this way, all the problems of Muslim World would be solved," stated Minister of State for Industries and Productions Ayatullah Durrani, according to Pakistan's The Nation newspaper.

The newspaper reported Durrani called its offices and argued the Muslim world was in "dire need" of a supreme leader and that the position would earn Obama the exemplary titles of what Durrani termed "Mullah Barrack Hussain (sic) Obama," or "Allama Obama."

"The time is approaching fast. Barrack Hussain Obama must act now. This is a golden opportunity, Muslims badly need it," added Durrani, according to the newspaper.

Duranni reportedly stated that Obama becoming supreme Islamic leader would be the "key to success."

Aggressive Dog Shot During Adams Morgan Day Festival

A dog was shot and killed by a D.C. Police officer during the busy Adams Morgan Day Festival. According to eyewitnesses, the dog was shot after getting into a fight with a smaller dog and then biting two men. It happened in the 2300 block of 18 Street N.W.

Noah Siegel knew one of the men bitten by the dog. "I heard some dogs barking and some people screaming," Siegel said. "I love dogs but you can’t have dogs attacking people out in a crowd like this."

The dog, named Parrot, was listed on Petfinder.com as a Pit Bull Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. He had an adoption pending through Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. "By all accounts, Parrot was a sweet dog who had an adoption pending at the time he was killed," John Valentine of Lucky Dog Rescue wrote in an e-mail to NBC Washington.

A former metropolitan police officer witnessed the shooting. Tony De Passe described what happened:

“We were no more than 20 feet away when two dogs got into it," De Passe said. "The officers ran over to try to restrain one of the dogs. By now one dog came loose and bit a man. He fell to the ground. The officer then put his hand on the dog’s throat and tried to restrain the dog. The dog spun around and bit the officer on his hand. The officer picked up the dog and threw him over a banister. The dog fell down and ran back up the steps and lunged at the officer. By then he pulled out his gun and shot the dog dead.”

De Passe said said that the officers did everything they could to to quiet the dog, but that the animal was a danger to the crowd.

The 10 Deadliest Cancers And Why There's No Cure

Cancer is the No. 2 cause of death in Americans, second only to heart disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Even when diagnosed early and attacked with the latest treatments, it still has the power to kill.

The dread and fear that can come with a cancer diagnosis have their roots in its killer nature: It's the No. 2 cause of death in Americans, second only to heart disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Even when diagnosed early and attacked with the latest treatments, it still has the power to kill.

To help raise money to find cures and treatments for cancer patients, the "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon will air on ABC, NBC and CBS and other networks and cable stations starting at 8 p.m. ET Friday. The telethon will feature a host of celebrity guests, including George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Renee Zellweger and Will Smith.

"'Stand Up To Cancer' represents collaborative efforts" to provide funding for cancer research, Dr. Len Lichtenfeld, deputy chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society, told MyHealthNewsDaily.

"We would not be where we are if basic and clinical science wasn't funded," Lichtenfeld said. "Basic science teaches us about mechanisms, about how drugs may be effective, and we take that info and put it into a clinic to find out whether or not those new ideas work in cancer treatment."

While there are many successful treatments today that didn't exist just a couple decades ago, a wholesale " cure for cancer " remains elusive for many reasons. There are more than 100 types of cancer, characterized by abnormal cell growth. There are many different causes, ranging from radiation to chemicals to viruses; an individual has varying degrees of control over exposure to cancer-causing agents.

Cancer cells, and how they grow, remain unpredictable and in some cases mysterious. Even after seemingly effective treatments, crafty cancer cells are able to hide out in some patients and resurface.

About $200 billion has been spent on cancer research since the early 1970s, and the five-year survival rate for all people diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. has risen from about 50 percent in the 1970s to 65 percent today.

McNabb Wins In Redskins Debut, 13-7 Over Cowboys

Donovan McNabb put on a different uniform, and finally found a way to beat the Dallas Cowboys.

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) - Donovan McNabb put on a different uniform, and finally found a way to beat the Dallas Cowboys.

OK, it helped that his defense scored a huge momentum touchdown at the end of the first half _ and then hung on to withstand a final, furious threat at the end of the second half, surviving only when Dallas' 12th penalty of the game negated what appeared to be the winning score
.
DeAngelo Hall returned a fumble 32 yards for Washington's only touchdown, and McNabb completed 15 of 32 passes for 171 yards in his Redskins debut Sunday night in a season-opening, when-do-we-exhale 13-7 win over the Cowboys.

Administration Changes Approach To Deportation Of Undocumented Immigrants

As the Obama administration tries to increase the number of criminals it deports, it's lowering the risk of deportation for millions of undocumented immigrants who've lived in the country for long periods without committing crimes.

The Obama administration has changed the nation's immigration enforcement strategy in ways that will reduce the threat of deportation for millions of undocumented immigrants and will likely blunt the impact of any state laws designed to deport vast numbers of people.

The changes are the little-discussed byproducts of the administration's well-publicized decision to focus its deportation efforts on immigrants who have committed serious crimes.

To remove the "worst of the worst," the administration reasons, it can't allow the nation's immigration courts and detention centers to remain clogged with generally law-abiding immigrants who have lived in the country for a long time and probably would be legalized under comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

The administration's strategy has been revealed in recent months through internal memos, testimony and new guidelines that direct deportation officers to generally refrain from deporting certain groups of immigrants.

The First Newspaper To Call For President Obama To Be Impeached

President Obama has engaged in numerous high crimes and misdemeanors. The Democratic majority in Congress is in peril as Americans reject his agenda. Yet more must be done: Mr. Obama should be impeached.

He is slowly - piece by painful piece - erecting a socialist dictatorship. We are not there - yet. But he is putting America on that dangerous path. He is undermining our constitutional system of checks and balances; subverting democratic procedures and the rule of law; presiding over a corrupt, gangster regime; and assaulting the very pillars of traditional capitalism.

Like Venezuela's leftist strongman, Hugo Chavez, Mr. Obama is bent on imposing a revolution from above - one that is polarizing America along racial, political and ideological lines. Mr. Obama is the most divisive president since Richard Nixon. His policies are Balkanizing the country. It's time for him to go.

He has abused his office and violated his oath to uphold the Constitution. His health care overhaul was rammed through Congress. It was - and remains - opposed by a majority of the people. It could only be passed through bribery and political intimidation.

The Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, the $5 billion Medicaid set-aside for Florida Sen. Bill Nelson - taxpayer money was used as a virtual slush fund to buy swing votes. Moreover, the law is blatantly unconstitutional; the federal government does not have the right to coerce every citizen to purchase a good or service. This is not in the Constitution, and it represents an unprecedented expansion of power. Yet Obamacare's most pernicious aspect is its federal funding of abortion.

Pro-lifers are now compelled to have their tax dollars used to subsidize insurance plans that allow for the murder of unborn children. This is more than state-sanctioned infanticide. It violates the conscience rights of religious citizens. Traditionalists - evangelicals, Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, Orthodox Jews - have been made complicit in an abomination that goes against their deepest religious values. As the law is implemented (as in Pennsylvania) the consequences of the abortion provisions will become increasingly apparent. The result will be a cultural civil war. Pro-lifers will become deeply alienated from society; among many, a secession of the heart is taking place.

Mr. Obama is waging a frontal assault on property rights. The BP oil spill is a case in point. BP clearly is responsible for the spill and its massive economic and environmental damage to the Gulf. There is a legal process for claims to be adjudicated, but Mr. Obama has behaved more like Mr. Chavez or Russia's Vladimir Putin: He has bullied BP into setting up a $20 billion compensation fund administered by an Obama appointee.

In other words, the assets of a private company are to be raided to serve a political agenda. Billions will be dispensed arbitrarily in compensation to oil-spill victims - much of it to Democratic constituents. This is cronyism and creeping authoritarianism.

Mr. Obama's multicultural socialism seeks to eradicate traditional America. He has created a command-and-control health care system. He has essentially nationalized the big banks, the financial sector, the automakers and the student loan industry. He next wants to pass "cap-and-trade," which would bring industry and manufacturing under the heel of big government. The state is intervening in every aspect of American life - beyond its constitutionally delegated bounds. Under Mr. Obama, the Constitution has become a meaningless scrap of paper.

To provide the shock troops for his socialist takeover, Mr. Obama calls for "comprehensive immigration reform" - granting amnesty to 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens. This would forge a permanent Democratic electoral majority. It would sound the death knell for our national sovereignty. Amnesty rewards lawlessness and criminal behavior; it signifies the surrender of our porous southern border to a massive illegal invasion. It means the death of American nationhood. We will no longer be a country, but the colony of a global socialist empire.

Rather than defending our homeland, Mr. Obama's Justice Department has sued Arizona for its immigration law. He is siding with criminals against his fellow Americans. His actions desecrate his constitutional oath to protect U.S. citizens from enemies foreign and domestic. He is thus encouraging more illegal immigration as Washington refuses to protect our borders. Mr. Obama's decision on this case is treasonous.

As president, he is supposed to respect the rule of law. Instead, his administration has dropped charges of voter intimidation against members of the New Black Panther Party. This was done even though their menacing behavior was caught on tape: men in military garb brandishing clubs and threatening whites at a polling site. A Justice Department lawyer intimately involved in the case, J. Christian Adams, resigned in protest. Mr. Adams says that under Mr. Obama, there is a new policy: Cases involving black defendants and white victims - no matter how much they cry for justice - are not to be prosecuted. This is more than institutionalized racism. It is an abrogation of civil rights laws. The Justice Department's behavior is illegal. It poses a direct threat to the integrity of our democracy and the sanctity of our electoral process.

Corruption in the administration is rampant. Washington no longer has a government; rather, it has a gangster regime. The Chicago way has become the Washington way. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a political hit man. He is an amoral, ruthless operator. It was Mr. Emanuel who reached out to Rep. Joe Sestak, Pennsylvania Democrat, offering a high-ranking job in the hopes of persuading Mr. Sestak to pull out of the primary against Sen. Arlen Specter. It was Mr. Emanuel who offered another government position to Andrew Romanoff to do the same in the Colorado Democratic Senate primary.

And it was Mr. Emanuel - as the trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has revealed - who acted as the go-between to try to have Valerie Jarrett parachuted into Mr. Obama's former Senate seat. The only question was: What did Mr. Blagojevich want in exchange?
This is not simply sleazy Chicago machine politics. It is the systematic breaking of the law - bribery, attempt to interfere (and manipulate) elections using taxpayer-funded jobs, influence peddling and abuse of power.

The common misperception on the right is that Mr. Obama is another Jimmy Carter: an incompetent liberal whose presidency is being reduced to rubble under the onslaught of repeated failures. The very opposite, however, is true. He is the most consequential president in our lifetime, transforming America into something our Founding Fathers would find not only unrecognizable, but repugnant. Like all radical revolutionaries, he is consumed by the pursuit of power - attaining it, wielding it and maximizing it. Mr. Obama's fledgling thug state must be stopped.

If Republicans win back Congress in November, they should - and likely will - launch formal investigations into this criminal, scandal-ridden administration. Rep. Darrell Issa, California Republican and ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has promised as much. Mr. Obama has betrayed the American people.

Impeachment is the only answer.
This usurper must fall.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday

Today you would have been 66 years old had you lived. Although it's been sixteen and a half years, we still remember you. We remember you and what tragically happened to you.

Personally, I never met you, but that doesn't matter. On May 12th 1994, I was wrapped up in my own life over a hundred miles away and my whole world would have very little chance of intersecting yours.I only know of you the tragedy of what happened, and very little of that. Indeed, that really doesn't matter, either, because we are all brothers and sisters in the greater sense, and we all have an obligation to each other. It's an obligation protect the weak, guard the young, and remember those who perish.

We have an obligation to ourselves to set limits as to what we will tolerate as a society, and to do our best to see that those who cross the line are dealt with in a manner that is acceptable to our society.
It's not our place to judge others for their actions, but it is our responsibility to make sure that people are held accountable for their actions. Without this basic principle, society itself begins to erode and ultimately disintegrate.

It was quite by accident that I came to know about you. I'd heard numerous people decry the awful place known as Salisbury, I'd heard people go on and on about how unsafe it was and how the police were ineffective, and so on and so forth.

I didn't find Salisbury to be so offensive, in fact, i thought it was quite nice, so I decided to do a little statistical research. And, that's how I came to know about you.

Let me say, I was flabbergasted and quite saddened that there is so little information about who you were readily available. In the age of the Information Superhighway, there should be more. People need to know that someones mom or sister or wife or best friend was taken, and that it doesn't fly here. People need to know that even seventeen years later that justice has to be meted out.

I'm not talking about gory details here. For me, getting killed at work is gory enough. I don't need the images of that to know that it was wrong.

There was a case in the 90's in Michigan involving an unsolved murder of a street walker if I remember correctly. Anyway, a person who was a child in the worst part of Detroit's ghetto at the time of the murder grew up hearing the details of what happened from the perpetrators. That child grew up to overcome the ghetto and wound up in college, U of M if my memory serves me, where he read the account of that murder, but this time, the victim had a name and a face and a bio from her family. The guilt this person felt caused him to seek out the authorities, and his recollections of what he grew up hearing ultimately led to the arrest of the person responsible.

They say that they found your murderer, but during court, the only witness was threatened harm to their family, so they withdrew testimony. Can you imagine the guilt that person must carry? They also say that the security video of what happened was stolen, and copies were sold. How brutal, but, if true, someone has that tape today.

You know, maybe I'm losing my mind. After all, I don't know you or your family or really have any connection to Salisbury, but I can't get the thought of you and what happened out of my head. I think that your community, no, strike that, the community of mankind has an obligation to itself to not forget you, and to not let your name be forgotten until justice is brought to the persons who did this. And, even though I'm not a member of the Salisbury community, I am aware of what happened in 1994, so that makes me accountable too.

I find it disheartening to hear people say 'It's the plouice' or 'It's the librals' or 'I'ts the conservatives' or whatever when they have done nothing to curb the flow of violence themselves. Not even something simple, like paying tribute to someone who was gunned down by ruthless killers while she was doing her job. Putting the message out that 'No matter if it IS the fault of someone else, we won't stand for it here'

Terrible things happen to people all the time. Ultimately, we can't choose how we die, we can only choose how we live. They say your death was meaningless, but I would rather think the meaning of your death is now just being realized. Hopefully, your death and the hole it tore in your community can serve to start mending the community. Maybe your tragic death in May of 1994 can be a catalyst to bring abut a change in attitudes in Salisbury, and stave off the negativism that feeds this monster of urban blight.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Jane Smith, and maybe my remembering you here will cause others to put together a fitting remembrance that might help to catch whomever did this.

from the Salisbury Police Department's Cold Case page on the 'net:
Irma Jane Smith

On May 12, 1994 at approximately 1:54 A.M. the Salisbury Police responded to the Shore Stop convenience store located on Rt. 13 and Cherry St. in reference to a homicide. The investigation revealed that the store clerk a white female,(Irma Jane Smith) had been stabbed numerous times. It appears that Smith had been robbed prior to the homicide. A witness told police they saw a man inside the store at approximately 1:30 A.M. When the witness attempted to entered the business a black male told the witness that the store was closed. A second witness advised police that he observed a black male putting items into a bag. This witness was also told by the subject that the store was closed. The man inside the store was described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 230 pounds with a light mustache, wearing a baseball type hat, brown work pants and a work jacket. The police are also looking for a man that was seen outside the store on the pay phone who may either be a witness or possible lookout for the suspect. This man is described as a black male, approximately 28 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds, very clean appearance with a mustache.

How Many Have Died From Salmonella?

While the FDA was ordering a massive recall of more than 500 million eggs last month, many citizens were wondering just how dangerous the 'threat' from salmonella was. In fact, a review of the Center for Disease Control's website offered no information that anyone has died from the batch of suspected eggs, despite assurances by the FDA in July of this year that the new, more stringent controls would prevent 79,000 illnesses and 30 deaths. So far the highest estimate of total possible illnesses is in the 'hundreds'.

This shocking revelation has led many to conclude the government's aggressive actions are part of a deliberate strategy to exercise even greater control over the nation's food supply, while others have gone so far as to suggest the Egg Recall of 2010 is nothing more than a 'False Flag' event designed to create panic and mistrust.

James Gormley, a writer based in New York City, writes that, "Products not grown according to designated standards will be considered adulterated and your business records will be subject to warrantless searches by inspectors from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), all this without any evidence that you have violated any law".

This would mean that survival garden in your backyard could trigger an unannounced visit from federal inspectors-and seizure and/or fines of your 'unauthorized' foods.

Mr. Gormley notes that the House version of the Senate Bill is even worse. "The Secretary of Health and Human Services will have the power to prohibit all movement of all food within a geographic area, whether the food is in your grandmother's grocery bag in her Toyota Hybrid or on a flatbed. No court order will be needed, just a phone call to the appropriate state official and a public announcement will be sufficient."

Bill Heid, the founder of Solutions From Science, explained in an interview today that this development, while appalling, isn't a surprise. "Those with knowledge of history and an understanding of who the enemy is aren't surprised at these events. The government needs a crisis to implement its plan for total control, and while the economic crisis they engineered has America on its knees, we've not given up, so the next stage of their plans must involve a direct threat to the food supply. History has shown that when a population begins to starve, they're willing to accept the kind of totalitarian rule the elite have in mind".

It is this very concern that has led hundreds of thousands-perhaps millions-of consumers to seek food independence through survival gardens, a twist on the freedom gardens started in the 1940s. But for an immediate, short-term solution while the garden reaches production maturity, increasing numbers of families are starting their emergency preparations with bulk storage of dehydrated food items, and one of the leading products for preppers and survivalists is the "Grab 'n' Go Emergency Food Supply" from Solutions From Science.

The Grab 'n' Go Emergency Food Supply contains 84 servings of food, including breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees in an air-tight, nitrogen packed Mylar pouch. Mr. Heid, the founder of Solutions From Science, says the pouches are also waterproof and that 98% of the oxygen has been removed from the inside, resulting in a longer shelf life and better taste.

"We've designed this emergency food supply to be easy to prepare-just add water-and to be nutritionally dense so you get the calories you need to sustain you through difficult times. Every meal is 100% vegetarian so it will last longer, in fact, one bucket of food can be stored for up to 25 years."

Of course, one of the common complaints about freeze-dried foods is the taste, so I asked Mr. Heid whether anyone had bothered to taste the food.

"I'm glad you asked, because last month we took samples of some of the meals, including Stroganoff, Cheesy Lasagna, Basil Soup and my personal favorite, Beef Teriyaki and Rice, to a county fair in our area and the feedback was incredible. In fact, I've got a letter from Stefan Mamula who ordered the Grab 'n' Go Emergency Meals and says, 'We went four days straight eating nothing but [the meals], and our kids loved it...they didn't get tired of it'. We all know how picky kids can be, so if they'll eat it, we know most adults will be thrilled. Having a full stomach in a crisis can make the difference between a bearable situation and one that is miserable."

Experts agree that the food supply is threatened, both by natural disasters, a booming population in Asia and increasing government regulation that may threaten normal food deliveries. Popular prepper and survivalist websites agree that food supplies are the most important preparation for any family, and that before any survival garden is undertaken a family should establish 90 days of food storage.

Ban Drilling, Then Loan Mexico $1 Billion To Drill

From Fox News: “Despite President Obama’s moratorium on U.S. deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Export-Import Bank intends to guarantee $1 billion in loans to PEMEX, the Mexican state oil company, to bolster the company’s oil drilling in the region… The latest request comes during a drilling moratorium that was first imposed by Obama in May to find out what was the cause behind the April 20 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion killed 11 workers and led to 206 million gallons of oil spewing from BP’s undersea well.”

This must not stand.

We have another elitist organization that is beholden to no one taking taxpayer dollars to throw away at projects that are not in the national interest.

Its spokeswoman would not even go on camera to defend this. She sent an e-mail. She said this doesn’t involve deep drilling.

Naturally. Mexico is not stupid. It drills close to the beach where if something goes wrong it is easily fixed.

Why finance Mexico?

What, allowing Mexicans to run roughshod over the border is not enough?
That’s it.
Shut the bank down.
Revoke its charter.
Let the people in it go without pensions either.
And investigate its executives.
This decision is too stupid even for liberals. It is what happens when the bureaucracy takes over the ship of state.

Things Are Not Good In Canada

From The Manitoba Herald

The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration. The recent actions of the Tea Party are prompting an exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, animal-rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield , whose acreage borders North Dakota . The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields. "Not real effective," he said. "The liberals still got through and Rush annoyed the cows so much that they wouldn't give any milk."

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons and drive them across the border where they are simply left to fend for themselves.

"A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a single bottle of imported drinking water They did have a nice little Napa Valley cabernet, though."

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer and watch NASCAR races.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half- dozen young vegans in powdered wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior-citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the '50s. "If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age," an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage and are renting all the Michael Moore movies. "I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "How many art-history majors does one country need?"

In an effort to ease tensions between the United States and Canada , Vice President Biden met with the Canadian ambassador and pledged that the administration would take steps to reassure liberals. A source close to President Obama said, "We're going to have some Paul McCartney and Peter, Paul & Mary concerts. And we might even put some endangered species on postage stamps. The President is determined to reach out," he said.
