Back Up On Rockawalkin Rd/Hebron

Joe,

Could you advise readers not to use Rockawalkin Rd this morning? There are about
10 cars stuck and nobody's getting through right now.

  1. The county plow got stuck on there yesterday afternoon and had to get a Gradall to pull it out and since then no equipment has been back on it to plow but now it is a bumpy mess of ice. There were two or three stuck when I went to work this morning in the section between levin dashiell and rt.50...that is the problem area, the plows cleared the other end of rockawalkin rd as far as I know.

  2. This road is impassable from approx. 7460 Rockawalkin to US RT #50 causing traffic to turn around and go back, intersection of Levin Dashiell is not flagged!!!

  3. Does anyone know if Levin Dashiell is open or the Nanticoke end of Rockawalkin is open?
    Thanks

  4. It's now 9:25 and on my scanner they are advising everyone to find ways around this area due to how bad it is.

  5. levin dashiell is open and fairly driveable, some spots are narrowed down to one lane though, I heard the nanticoke end of rockawalkin was alittle rough and people were getting stuck there...

  6. The county dropped the ball what a bunch of idiots ! I saw that crap yesterday and had to back all the way out of rockawalkin ! These guys didn't plow at all until yesterday that's why it's mess now !

  7. I live in this area, the problem is NOT the County Crews. So many cars stranded in the traveled portion of the roadway caused the plows to not have access. These vehicles were traveling during very bad conditions and did not heed the warnings. Happens all the time, folks think that just because they have 4x4 its OK!

  8. Rockawalkin Rd is clear from Nanticoke Rd to Pemberton Dr

  9. It wasn't the cars stuck it was the depth of the snow and not knowing where the road was because they were late in getting started . The cars probably wouldn't have even gotten stuck if they had plowed like they state did ! Early and often !
