Seaford Walmart Closed
Joe,
My friend just got home from Seaford & she told me that Seaford Walmart is closed…..says that it appears something is wrong with the roof. There is a crane-looking thing up there. I just called them & the phone was answered by “Walmart Security”. She said that they were Closed. I asked her if they would be open tomorrow & she said, “I don’t know”, I asked her if they were having “roof problems” and she said, “We are just closed for safety precautions right now”. Anyone heading out for supplies tomorrow should call first before making a trip for nothing.
Be Safe Everyone.
Does anyone know if the Crown Sport Center will be having their youth soccer games tomorrow night, Friday February 11, 2010?
ReplyDeleteanonymous 8:54, yes. The Crown will also open normal hours. Laser Tag etc, 10 am to 11 pm tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI just got off the phone with the owner, Bill Hearne. He said the soccer games WILL go as scheduled tomorrow. Enjoy.
joe,
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the whole "state of emergency" thing. Does it mean everyone except emergency vehicles are to stay off the road?
I heard yesterday that The Seaford walmart had a roof collapse. Hadn't said anything about it because I didn't know if it was true. I am guessing now that it is true.
ReplyDeleteThe Salisbury Walmart has a huge crack in the wall between the McDonalds doorway and the deli section. Huge. It wasn't there the other day. I hope somebody's looked into that.
ReplyDeleteAnon 9:10: www.delaware.gov has the info for Delaware.
ReplyDeleteThere is a section on the right hand side of their site detailing the driving restrictions when they are in effect, there are currently none--they were lifted for Kent & Sussex Counties at 6pm.
There is also a Yellow Strip containing important information at the top of the webpage if there is anything that they need to post.
Thanks Joe
ReplyDeleteWalmart closes any store with a roof load issue due to extreme snow as a precaution. Remember they had a collapsed roof out of state and they learn from experience I guess. I think Milford Walmart was closed with the same issue a couple days ago.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the city of salisbury is going to do trash pick up on friday morning?
ReplyDeleteThe Public Works Division has determined that there will be no trash collection in the city until Saturday, February 13. This collection will be the collection previously scheduled for Tuesday, February 9. The City requests that residents shovel and clear the areas needed for access to the trash containers.
ReplyDeleteThe fruitland Walmart is in the roughest shape of them all. Go in and count the trash cans catching the roof leaks and all the puddles throughout the store. I'm not shopping there anymore until it's fixed!
ReplyDeleteIf everyone would recycle there won't be much trash.

ReplyDeleteI hope we are the only people you have told about your observation at Walmart! That sound serious.
Maybe you should let the folks at Walmart know about it.?
4:32 There would be the same amount of trash just more containers ! Now if everyone had a compost heap that would be a different story !
ReplyDeleteThank you 7:04 AM. Some people are just narrow minded.
