Parsonsburg Farmers To The Rescue - Once Again

Joe,

Once again, the farmers in Parsonsburg beat the county snowplows to the local roads. And once again, someone cleared our drive and sped away before I could thank them.

I don't own a business and am far from wealthy (who isn't these days?), so thank you, Joe, for giving me an opportunity to give the farmers a little recognition for their gifts to their communities.

My family and I are extremely grateful.

Shannon

  1. Can some of those good Parsonsburg farmers help their neighbors out by moving the snow at the East Wicomico Little League parking lot.

  3. Same out our way, farmers from all around the area were traveling with their tractors and loaders clearing drives and roads. A neighbor dug me out twice from 4 foot drifts across the driveway and would not take a dime for it. Now that is is the spirit of AMERICA! No government haggling or intervention, no political bickering, just neighbor helping neighbor.

  4. I live out in the Fruitland area in a high end neighborhood. They ONLY offers I got to clear snow included a price tag. I GET trying to make a buck clearing snow---honest and hard work. I was insulted by the HIGH price that was being tooted by these door to door guys.

  5. The story goes on and on about the farmers all over Wicomico County that have helped save the day. Fuel, wear and tear, insurance, etc. is expensive to these good willed people but let's try to defray some of their costs by a goodwill offering. Without them digging you out, you could be hit with $50 to $500 dollars per driveway depending on the size. Let them know you appreciate them with a donation. We did and the farmer was very appreciative.

Thank you soo much to our local Parsonsburg Farmers! I have lived here for 32 years, and it has always been this way in our town! You can't depend on the county to help us out or dig us out, but the locals always help each! It makes me very proud to live in such a great community!
