53 Republicans Demand Firing Of Safe Schools Czar' Kevin Jennings

Fifty-three House Republicans have written President Barack Obama asking him to remove "safe schools czar" Kevin Jennings from that position.

The lawmakers accused Jennings of "pushing a pro-homosexual agenda" and said that Jennings's past writings exhibit a record that makes him unfit for the position.

"We respectfully request that you remove Kevin Jennings, the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, from your Administration," the Republicans wrote. "It is clear that Mr. Jennings lacks the appropriate qualifications and ethical standards to serve in this capacity."

Jennings has come under scrutiny from conservative personalities like talk show host Sean Hannity for his handling of an alleged incident involving underage sex, as well as Jennings's own reported personal history with drugs and alcohol — charges the GOP members echoed.

The letter was primarily assembled by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), and was joined by 52 Republican colleagues, including two members of leadership: House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (Ind.) and House Republican Conference Vice Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.).

Jennings, who founded the Gay and Lesbian Independent School Teacher Network (GLISTeN), was appointed by Obama to head the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, a position Jennings assumed in July.

"Kevin Jennings cannot gain the approval of parents who want their children safe and their schools drug free," the Republican congressmen said. "You should replace him with someone who has a record of educating children in a safe and moral environment."

The Jennings controversy follows the Sept. 6 resignation of Green Jobs Czar Van Jones and the long-blocked nomination of Cass Sunstein as regulatory czar.

GUNS RECOVERED IN CARROLL COUNTY THEFT

(Westminster, MD) – State troopers have arrested one man, are searching for a second, and have recovered all the firearms stolen in a weekend theft that occurred during a teenager’s party at her home while her parents were away.

The two charged are identified as Matthew D. Olson, 23, of no fixed address, and Victor M. Eshelman, Jr., 20, of the 800-block of Muller Road, Westminster, Md. After consultation with the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office, both were charged with theft: $1,000.00 under $10,000.00.

Eshelman was arrested yesterday morning at his home. He was taken to the Carroll County Detention Center. A warrant has been issued for Olson and police continue to search for him.

The investigation began on the evening of October 11, 2009, when Maryland State Police were called to a home in the 100-block of Sullivan Road, Westminster. The investigation by Maryland State Police patrol troopers and criminal investigators determined that sometime during the night of October 10th and the early morning of October 11th, someone removed eight rifles and two black powder pistols from the home. Also stolen were video games, a gaming console, money, jewelry and knives.

The investigation revealed that during the evening of October 10th, dozens of individuals had attended a party at the home, hosted by a teenager while her parents were away. State Police investigators developed evidence indicating that Olson attended the party and removed the firearms and other items from the house. The firearms were then distributed to Eshelman and another Finksburg subject who are acquaintances of Olson.

Early on the morning of October 14th, Maryland State Police served search warrants at the homes of Eshelman and Olson, with the assistance of the Carroll County Drug Task Force, the State Police Special Tactical Assault Team Element, and the Baltimore Gun Tracing Task Force. Police recovered a stolen black powder pistol at Eshelman’s home.

Further investigation led police to a wooded area in the 1300-block of Woodland Drive, Westminster. There troopers unearthed four of the rifles and a black powder pistol that had been stolen and buried in the ground. They were .50 and .22 caliber rifles.

Information was also developed indicating other weapons had been taken to a home in Finksburg. Police went to the home yesterday and recovered a stolen AK47 assault rifle, an SKS assault rifle a 7.62 caliber rifle and a .444 caliber rifle.

All of the stolen firearms have been recovered by police. Troopers continue to search for the other items stolen from the home.

Additional arrests and charges are possible. The investigation is continuing.

Here's A Credit Card With An 79% Interest Rate

NBC San Diego found a local wine distributor who was issued a credit card with a 79.9 percent APR.

The Premier card from South Dakota's First Premier Bank is responsible for the usurous, loan shark-style rate. The station's Bob Hansen writes:

On its Web site, First Premier says it is the country's 10th largest issuer of Visa and MasterCard credit cards. The site also says it "focuses on individuals who have less than perfect credit but are actually still creditworthy."

"I think they're trying to take advantage of me," said Hageman.

Ya think?

The story says the California Attorney General can't do anything about the card because it comes from an out-of-state bank. Anyone with a Premier card would be wise to check out the fine print on their billing statements.

U.S. Troop Funds Diverted To Pet Projects

Study finds $2.6 billion taken from guns and ammunition

Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.

Among the 778 such projects, known as earmarks, packed into the bill: $25 million for a new World War II museum at the University of New Orleans and $20 million to launch an educational institute named after the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat.

While earmarks are hardly new in Washington, "in 30 years on Capitol Hill, I never saw Congress mangle the defense budget as badly as this year," said Winslow Wheeler, a former Senate staffer who worked on defense funding and oversight for both Republicans and Democrats. He is now a senior fellow at the Center for Defense Information, an independent research organization.

Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, called the transfer of funds from Pentagon operations and maintenance "a disgrace."

"The Senate is putting favorable headlines back home above our men and women fighting on the front lines," he said in a statement.

Mr. Wheeler, who conducted the study, compared the Obama administration's requests for funds with the $636 billion spending bill that the Senate passed. He discovered that senators added $2.6 billion in pet projects while spending $4 billion less than the administration requested for fiscal 2010, which began Oct. 1.

GOP Lawmakers Accuse Muslim Advocacy Group CAIR Of Planting Spies On Capitol Hill

Four congressmen are asking for an investigation into the Council on American Islamic Relations after discovering an internal memo noting the group's strategy.

Four House Republicans on Wednesday accused the nation's largest Muslim advocacy group of trying to "infiltrate" Capitol Hill by placing interns in the offices of lawmakers who handle national security issues.

The four lawmakers, members of the anti-terror caucus, asked for an investigation into the Council on American Islamic Relations after discovering an internal memo noting the group's strategy. They also highlighted a new book by Paul Sperry titled "Muslim Mafia," scheduled for release on Thursday, which claims the group has been actively infiltrating Congress.

Reps. Sue Myrick of North Carolina, Trent Franks of Arizona, Paul Broun of Georgia and John Shadegg of Arizona asked the Internal Revenue Service to determine whether CAIR deserves its nonprofit status. They also are asking their colleagues to review a summary of findings that led the Justice Department to name CAIR as a co-conspirator in a terrorism case.

Remembering Mary Elizabeth Albero

REMEMBERING MARY E. ALBERO

I know you're grieving for me, but now I'm free
I've followed the path that God had planned for me.

My work here on earth was done I suppose,
Don't question God why?
For only he knows.

My body was just a covering, given to me at birth
It was used to house my soul while I lived here on this earth.

I know my life seemed short but I have cherished sooooo!!! much.
Great times, good friends, a loved ones gentle touch.

I know my parting has left such a void
but try to fill it with all the remembered joy.

The friendships shared , a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes! these things I too will miss.

But I took my fathers hand the other day, when I heard him call,
I had to go and I left it all.

I could not stay, not one more day
To laugh to, love to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,
But oh such peace I've found at the close of the day.

Don't grieve long for me, I tell you!
I know! words so easily said.
But think of all the precious times we shared and try to smile instead.

And to my dearest family I'll miss you most of all,
But I'm your guardian angel now,
and I'll catch you if you fall.

I'll be right here beside you, I've been here from the start,
and I'll hear you when you speak to me, with words straight from your heart.

I'm with my heavenly father now, I'm not that far away.
He'll tell me if you ask about me, every time you pray.

Please ! don't grieve long for me for on this train,
We all will take this ride.
All Aboard!! Tickets Please!!
Destination to the other side.

I live in a beautiful mansion now,
Without a worry or a fret.
And if you think you've seen gold on earth,
You ain't seen nothin' yet.

It is so AMAZING!! here , such a glorious sight to behold,
You know it's even more beautiful than the things that I've been told.

I'm amongst the angels, where we live and laugh and play,
Im having such a wonderful time, just walking around heaven all day.

Well I must go for now.
Some angel friends and I, are polishing up our wings.
We're invited to a party tonight, hosted by the king.

(whisper) It's supposed to be a surprise.I'm not supposed to know.
But its a welcoming party just for me and I cant wait to go.

My long white robe is magnificent!
You should see me as I twirl around,
I even found the most comfy shoes (smile) to match my golden crown.

All the angels are excited they're expecting millions to attend, and
"Salvation" is the only pass they'll need to make it in.

So I'll just say so long for now to all of you, my family and my friends,
For some day I know that I will see you all again.

Old Butch - A Must Read

John was in the fertilized egg business.

He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets,'

and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing

went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells

and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance,

which rooster was performing.

Now, he could sit on the porch And fill out an efficiency report

by just listening to the bells.

John's favourite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen,

but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets,

bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, could run for cover.

To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.

He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair

and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize

but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making.

Who else but a politician could figure out

how to win two of the most highly coveted awards

on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace

and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

Vote carefully this year,

the bells are not always audible.

God And Virginia

God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, found him, resting on the seventh day..

He inquired, "Where have you been?"
God smiled deeply and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, and I've put life on it.. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place to test Balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused."

God explained, pointing to different parts of Earth. "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor. Over here I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance in all things."

God continued pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel , impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and said, "What's that one?"

"That's the Commonwealth of Virginia, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests, hills, and plains. The people from the Commonwealth of Virginia are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to travel the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers of peace, and producers of good things."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be balance..."

God smiled, "Right next to Virginia is Washington DC. Wait till you see the idiots I put there."

Joys Of A Muslim Woman

Sharia law is already taking place in England, Spain, France and many other countries.

Once they take over a portion of a city, the regular police of that country are not allowed in the area due to Sahria law. They literally take over an area in a city and claim the area to be owned by them. They have horrible third world lawark ages law , allowing many horrific things to happen inside their new home within the city where they immigrate. How would you like to own property in that area????-you sure would not go inside for fear of death by Sharia law.

Please read this thru--it is happening here in USA

"Joys of Muslim Women"
by Nonie Darwish

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.

The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.
Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.
To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.

Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.

The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.

The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.

In the West World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.

By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.

Ripping the West in Two.

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two. She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.

Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before emigrating to America in 1978, When she was eight years old, her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza.

When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.
But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television..

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.

For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

This is your chance to make a difference...!

THE PARTY OF NO

I hope to find the party and the candidates of NO. and when justified, they can say YES

No- to redistribution of wealth. YES - to people keeping what they worked for.

NO -to high taxes. YES - to less government spending

NO - pork legislation. YES - to spending for defense

NO - to lobbyists YES - to what benefits the taxpayer

No - to laws no one has read YES - to an informed electorate

NO- to ignoring the constitution YES - to strict interpretation of the constitution.

NO - to big government YES - to small efficient government

NO - to corruption in congress YES - to punishing the guilty

In today's political atmosphere, I would proudly support a party or candidate that said NO and meant it. Our current problems are caused by candidates that say NO when campaigning and then vote YES to pay back the donors.

CITY HOLDS THIRD FRIDAY EVENT & COMMEMORATES ANNIVERSARY OF 1886 FIRE

Salisbury Mayor James Ireton, Jr., invites the public to downtown Salisbury this Friday, October 16th, to join in and support Salisbury’s Third Friday Celebration. The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. when businesses, restaurants, and the Art Institute & Gallery will celebrate the fall season by staying open to welcome visitors with music, art displays, light refreshments, special discounts and children’s activities.
To date, participants for the October event include Enza’s, Amber Nicole, Velvet Pearl, Parker Place, CCART, Clay-Ala-Palooza, Uptown Chef, PNC Bank, Market Street Inn, Chesapeake East, Art Institute & Gallery, Season’s Best Antiques, Kuhn’s Jewelers, Body Pro, Downtown Barber, Anthony’s Deli, Beauty in Motion, Yum Restaurant, Flavors Italian Grille, Sushi De Kanpai, EXIT Shore Realty, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

Musical entertainment for the evening will feature a number of talented local and regional performers including Blue Light Special, Alex and Shiloh, Alex Wersen & Friends, the Near East Family, Mt. Organ, and Jake Travis/Alex DeMartin. Musicians will be interspersed along East and West Main Street in a “street fair” atmosphere, along with visual artists showcasing their original art work. A number of downtown restaurants will also feature live entertainment.

Third Friday will include other fun attractions including face painting and bowling with pumpkins at Parker Place, live music at Season’s Best Antiques & Collectibles, and makeup demonstrations at Velvet Pearl. Kuhn’s Jewelers will host a book signing featuring author Mindie Burgoyne and her new publication Haunted Eastern Shore: Ghostly Tales from East of the Chesapeake – an opportunity for attendees to discover the otherworldly occupants of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

This month, a special event will be held in conjunction with Third Friday – FireFest 2009. FireFest 2009 commemorates the 123rd anniversary of the fire in 1886 that destroyed downtown Salisbury. The FireFest 2009 celebration will include a parade of Fire Department vehicles beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th. The parade will begin at Baptist Street, go down East Main Street to N. Division Street, and end in front of the Government Office Building. A commemorative ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Government Office Building. Special thanks to Urban Salisbury, the Salisbury Fire Department, the Nabb Research Center at Salisbury University, the Wicomico County Board of Education, and downtown businesses for making the FireFest 2009 event possible.

Urban Salisbury’s Arts & Entertainment Steering Committee is assisting in this Third Friday initiative as part of the revitalization of Downtown Salisbury. Similar celebrations are held monthly in Arts & Entertainment Districts in Berlin, Cambridge and Snow Hill.

“The work of Urban Salisbury and its spirited group of volunteers is paying off,” said Mayor Ireton. “Watch for my YouTube videos promoting the events. Please join us to celebrate. See you downtown Friday night!”

Amish

An Amish farmer walking through his field notices a man drinking from his pond, with his hand.

The Amish man shouts:

"Trinken Sie nicht das Wasser, die Kuhe und die Schweine haben in ihm geschissen!"

Which means: "Don't drink the water, the cows and the pigs have shit in it!"

The man shouts back: "I'm a Muslim, I don't understand your gibberish. Speak English, infidel!"

The Amish man shouts back in English:

"Use two hands, you'll get more!"
