I hope to find the party and the candidates of NO. and when justified, they can say YES
No- to redistribution of wealth. YES - to people keeping what they worked for.
NO -to high taxes. YES - to less government spending
NO - pork legislation. YES - to spending for defense
NO - to lobbyists YES - to what benefits the taxpayer
No - to laws no one has read YES - to an informed electorate
NO- to ignoring the constitution YES - to strict interpretation of the constitution.
NO - to big government YES - to small efficient government
NO - to corruption in congress YES - to punishing the guilty
In today's political atmosphere, I would proudly support a party or candidate that said NO and meant it. Our current problems are caused by candidates that say NO when campaigning and then vote YES to pay back the donors.

Go with Dr. No himself: Ron Paul.
ReplyDeleteYou won't get that by bashing everything Democrat and ignoring the Republ. F-ups. In fact, lets say NO to political parties. Make the politicians work for each and every vote
ReplyDeleteOur two party system has destroyed our ability go govern effectively. Eventually we will be back in an American Revolution. Just sit back and read the anger found in the comments on this blog. It's only a matter of time.
ReplyDelete9:24, take your dumb@$$ american revolution crap and shove it. This is America where it's one man, one vote. Feel free to rail against the current administration or congress in this blog, on t.v., or on the steps of the capital. But to you and all who spout this "revolution" crap, you are all whiners out here trying to sound tough.
ReplyDelete9:24....you are living in a fantasy world. The only revolution is in your twisted head.
ReplyDeleteJoel....I am with you man. I too do not think either major party offers what America needs. We need to be somewhere in the middle of both of them and governed by the Consitution, not by the lobbiest and special needs. I just dont see anyone stepping up who has the name to do it.
ReplyDelete1002 and 1155...let him be. If he wants to have a Revolution he can. Actually that may be what this pansy country needs now. Maybe a Constitutional reset is in order to fix all this crap. Make our government small and it's main function is to provide for our coutry's defense. Let Capitalism work. There will be new companies formed and making money overnight. If you dont start a company, then you need to work for one. If you dont, then you dont eat. Matter of fact....that could be the new health plan. Stop over taxing people adn companies and let them grow the jobs we need. The unemployed could get jobs and then they could have health insurance. Simple. Get the lazy pieces of crap off the umemployment couch and put them to work. No, I am not calling all unemployeed lazy. but you know what I mean. If necessary, give them a broom and let them sweep the streets or rake the leaves and pay them accordingly. Maybe that "hard" work will get them moving to get a better paying and easier job.
But that is just my opinion. I would bet that most people would hate me being the Prez. I would never put up with the crap that is going on now. You dont like America, then get out.

"you don't like America, then get out" applies to the whiners screaming "revolution".
ReplyDeleteAnd yes I agree regarding small government. But get a clue. Unemployment is at 9.8%. Why do you guys continue to demonize people who want to work but can't find employment? There are lazy people out there. But conserves always want to make these people seem like they represent a majority of the people who are unemployed or underemployed.
I just returned a request for a campaign contribution, No check, But a note saying when I see principals return, donations will return. I have no interest in replacing one group of thieves with another. Perhaps when it gets bad enough, people will wake up. I know it wont be those looking for a free lunch. Like it or not, the two party system is here to stay, I just hope one of them starts standing up for the country and I don't care which one it is.
