From the looks of it, everyone seems to be in agreement that a gathering this Monday night, (12-7-09) at the GOB at 5:00 PM would be the best time and place for Citizens of Salisbury to meet and openly discuss Chief Webster's future with the City of Salisbury as Chief of Police.
If everyone is good with that, Monday night it is. Please let every business owner, property owner and all those interested in crime know this meeting will take place at this time and date.
Let's let our Public Officials know how we feel, peacefully.
Where is the GOP office?
ReplyDeleteThanks for organizing Joe. Can we try to get a press release to WBOC, WMDT and Daily Times. We need as many residents, county and city to let them know just how fed up we are with the loser of a Police Chief and their political bull crap. We will be the ones that are peaceful. The question is: Will the council actually hear what we are saying and have been for years or will they illegally dismiss the meeting again? People are fed up, angry and scared.
ReplyDeleteDear 9:12
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I don't know where the GOB is. I'm in a wheel chair and need to take a cab. I haven't been involved or had a chance to get out in years.
Joe:
ReplyDeleteCould you do next weeks TV show from there on Monday -- interview citizens and invite Ireton and Webster to be there to address the audience?
I would like to also see some representation from our other police agencies as well. Mike Lewis, members of the WCSO, WBI, SPD, and MSP. Joe, can you check with Mike Lewis? I know you have friends in high and low places, lol. Other than Webster, this community supports all of local law enforcement and what they do. We need to rally behind these folks and let them know we support their efforts fully. These men and women in uniform have families who are threatened by this type of violence and crime as well.
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't miss it. This is very important, and could be the turning point for this ugly and pervasive situation.
ReplyDeletePEACEFUL RALLY is the key.
Justin way to promote civic involvement
ReplyDeletePathetic
The GOB is at 125 N Division
Thank you so much for the information 10:02.
ReplyDeleteMore specifically, on the corner of Rt. 50 & N. Division (in the downtown area) for the GOB.
ReplyDelete10:02
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!!
Just because someone doesn't spend all of their time at the GOB, doesn't mean you should knock them for trying to attend a meeting that effects the safety of our entire city. Be respectful, especially if you want people to show up!
ReplyDeleteRoll Tide Roll time for webster to go.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be awesome if he resigned before Monday's event? Then we could have a celebration rally instead of a Pay Attention to Us Rally.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the parking lot by the library has two hours free parking.
In order to alert as many folks as possible please cut and paste the web address below into an email and sent to all you can. Simply ask the to read the info and consider attending.

To cut and paste hold the left mouse key down and run the curser (pointer) over the address above. This will highlight the address. Next put the pointer in the highlighted area and click your right mouse key. Now you have cut it. To paste the address in a new email simply put the pointer in the email text area (where you would normally type) and click the left mouse key again.

The Police Chief should resign because he doesn’t or is un-willing to work with Salisbury's elected officials for the good of the community. I have no vendetta. I’m not happy with the police department and the way it’s being run. (Residents) don’t like or respect the chief. They don’t like how he's been performing,” I live in the county but can see Salisbury needs and deserves a more pro-active Police Chief in the community.
ReplyDeleteI can make it. We all need to be there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like most of your supporters dont even know where the gov office building is.
ReplyDeleteI will be there.
Thanks : Batman & Robin and Superman
P.S. Do you by chance know where Spiderman is?
It would also be a great idea for the PIO for the Salisbury Fire Dept. to be there. The fire dept. runs crime related emergencies as well. They do the care and transport of patients that vary from minor assults to the major shootings and stabbings. The problem is the public only hears about a small fraction, the SPD and the SFD know about them all. Get the information to the public by the people who run the calls.
ReplyDeleteRumor has it he is thinking of running for sheriff in Somerset which would explain why he insists on living there.I sure hope not!Somerset has enough problems!
ReplyDeleteMy My My... who to side with on that one Bobby Jones or Webster....????
ReplyDeleteWill our police cheif be there? And if so, in what capacity?
ReplyDeleteJoe: Can you get that hangman guy from the AFP's rally a few months ago at Kratovil's office to be there on Monday with a Webster dummy?
ReplyDeleteIts a shame that the officers on the Salisbury police force have to take the rap of being inefficent when their leader{Webster} is solely responsible !! As for him running for Somerset county sheriff, I certainly hope the residents of that county don't stoop that low to think he will be any asset.
ReplyDelete1:19,
ReplyDeleteNow there's an election with no one to choose from! Dumb and Dumber!
230
ReplyDeletethe hangman was NOT at an AFP rally
BTW
nice seeing you today
2:30. BEST IDEA!
ReplyDeleteMove it to 3PM before the "pre-planned" emergency meeting.
ReplyDeleteHere's something for the folks at the rally to chant in unison:
ReplyDeleteWhere's our Chiefy,
Rah, Rah, Rah!
Out deer huntin'
Hah, Hah, Hah!
Pearl Harbor Day.
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate.
I concur with Anon 8:19PM, I would certainly consider showing up BEFORE the "Special Meeting" on Monday at 4:00.
ReplyDeleteCouncil Schedules Special Meeting
However, if participants really want to be seen by Council Members, I would recommmend moving the gathering to the back entrance of the GOB. All the Council members ALWAYS enter the building from the back entrance and seldom use the Division St entrance. Perhaps having folks gather at both entrances may help as well. I imagine that there will be a rather high turn out. We could even create giant circle of people around the building so that the Council member have to walk through us to get in.
