A Letter From One 'Angry Woman'

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide .

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Ko ran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care!!

  1. I agree!! Can we get this forwarded to Obama's desk, or better yet, send it to every in Congress and the Senate. Maybe then they will realize just how petty some of the things they stew over on national television are.
Where did the anger spawned from 9/11 go. why aren't we still angry?
    ...I just don't understand!

  2. Oh, thank God. Someone is finally making some sense.

  3. Sense? Hate an entire religion because of what an extremist or terrorist did? Do you hate Christianity because of what Eric Roudolph and Timmy McPhay
    did?

  4. GOD Bless America!!!! If you don't like the way we do it, you are more than welcome to LEAVE!!!

  5. ALL That and you don't care, hum.

  6. Spot on, 9:21! Maybe we should also hate Christianity for what the KKK has done too. Or all the Christians in Ireland who terrorized the entire United Kingdom for decades.

The religion is not the problem, it is one extreem faction of its followers.

Same with the Republican Party. Not every Republican is as half-cocked crazed as Limbaugh, Cheney, Gingrich, and Glenn Beck. However, these guys are painting the party as a group of lunatics,a and it becomes easy to paint the entire party as a collection of right-wing zelots who would be happy under the glare of a nuclear explosion that destroys all things Democrat.

Not all Muslims hate America, even fewer are terrorists. Not all Republicans want to scare the crap out of all of us.

The author of the posting needs to open her eyes, mind, and heart a bit. I don't think that the God she listens to would be so happy with her narrow, closed minded views.

  7. Religion is a joke.

  8. Frankly,I could give a damn about offending Muslims.....its funny that when people b*tch about "freedom of religion" they seem to think it applies to every religion BUT Christianity. It is OK for the ACLU and everyone else to erase God from everything, but they are ready to string you up if you slight a Muslim.Get over it and go to Mecca if you don't like how we do it in the US.

  10. Islam is basically a cult, not a religion. If these so called moderate muslims were so concerned about how their religion is viewed they would do whatever it takes to make sure the so called radicals are elimanated, yet very rareley do any of them speak out. The pacifist people on this board think we shoud just turn the other cheek and hope for the best. I say we should warn them what we will do then follow through if they ever attack us again.

  11. 10:00 Anon "I say we should warn them what we will do then follow through if they ever attack us again."

And what would that be? Invade another country which had nothing to do with it and kill more of our soldiers than they killed with their attack? Not to mention the soldiers mamed!

People want to talk tough but when it comes right down to it, this country is just screwed up and it has been for a long time and we're not near as tough as we used to be.

  14. Hooray, good article, I agree. USA forever, if you don't like the ways of the USA go elsewhere, LEAVE, I DON'T CARE!

  15. I hope you hate Bhudism just as much for their extreaminsts and Chrisitianism for their atrocities through the years. I think you are safe with the Quakers. I don;t think they hav an extreme faction.
Thanks for your tolerance and generalizations.

  16. HOORAH! Well said and Ditto!
You don't like it? Then get the hell out

  17. "you dont like America, then get out" - funny statement. Funny because the author is expressing her dislike of the way America is handling certain things regarding the "war". So is it safe to conclude that she and others who are saying "get out", "get out"?

  18. I'm sure there are extreme Quakers out there, they're just not violent. There are extremists in every group. The letter is about the treatment of prisoners, extremists and not the entire religion of Islam, it's a few years old and has been circulating in the form of an email. Get over your "feel good about myself" Lib tendencies to group anyone who agrees with the letter writer being completely irritional Islam blaming rightwing nut job-I feel good about myselft, being about to sum up your entire stereotype of a normal person fed up with the system and expressing in it writing. Of course because the letter writer doesn't share your opinion this must be hate speech, even though there isn't any hate towards anyone in the letter, it's the practices that are PC-feel good towards our enemies she's angry about.

  19. "When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care."
Gee I guess she ( or whatever the gender of the person who wrote it) does not actually say she hates Iraqi prisoners, but that statemnet weems to indecat at lest a passive dislike of them. My point is, you can substitute any religion for Islam and make the same poing...and lay off the Quakers man, they make a great oatmeal.

  20. Here's the thing: if the dems would allow drilling in the largest oil reserve in the world (8X's larger than Saudi Arabia's oil field) which is located under the northern midwest of the US, than we could leave the middle east and not buy their oil, thus bankrupting them, and when the kings and princes that have been funding islamic schools don't have money, they will stop funding the schools, thus stop funding terrorists.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oil is past its prime as a fule. we need to spend money and time on alternate forms of energy. You can blame a lack of that, not on the Iraqis, Saudis, Iranians,or Democrats, but on the US Oil companies, America's Terrorists

    ReplyDelete
  22. I saw a pile pigs feet in a fuzzy photo, in what amounts to a college hazing incident-guess what I don't care.
Does the above statement mean I hate pigs feet. No! I don't care if I see them in a pile. The person who did this may or may not be a crazy person, but I don't hate them either.
Do you see the logic 12:53p? There is no passive dislike, there is a passive non-caring. If that's the best part that you can say is "Hate" speech, you've already lost the argument. I don't agree with Obama or Democrat policies, and I am not a racist-I'm a conservative who agrees that we can't handle prisoners with kid gloves and assure that terrorists or extremists will like us and not try to kill us. Notice I didn't say Muslims...no, we're not talking about an entire group of people, we're talking about the select few we've managed to catch.

  23. If It were Bill Gates instead of Bin Laden america wouldn't hand him over either. Richard Gere is wanted in india for breaking their law and we didn't hand him over. And you wonder why the rest of the world hates us. By the way, i'm moving to amsterdam, they never seem to have a problem with anyone.

  24. Right On! Amen Sister!

And as far as religion goes, Islam is more than a man made religion, it is a system of rule also>

This is one red blooded American who is washed in the Blood of Jesus who will die before Ilive under muslim law. PERIOD

    USA USA USA

  27. Orsonwells, Oh, that Tim Mcphay:)

I though anon 9:21 might be an illiterate, moronic apologist for Muslim terrorists, and that he or she thought "Eric Roudolph & Timmy McPhay" were Eric Rudolph & Timothy McVeigh. Sometimes it's diffficult to determine the intent of morons & illiterates, especially when they are palpably afflicted with both conditions!
Let us say a Christian prayer for the intelligence & education of anon 9:21; Amen!

  28. Hey anon 12:53 Don't you know according to our dictator Obama
we don't need more oil. We are going GREEN. To save the planet and
all that global warming BS. We will start driving electric cars
from China since they own us now. Seeing how they keep buying our debt. By 2016 we will all be driving Obama-mobiles.And to make sure we all go along with it. You will probably see gas go up to seven dollars a gallon. It is all part of the Obama agenda to get everyone thinking the only way out is through government control. And guess what it seems to be working.
So say good-bye to a free USA and hello to Capitalism.
