  2. drug use. just as good as you title loan style people... preying on the weak.

  3. It encourages an extreme urge to bear the car to the right and forget how to use the brake :)

  4. It encourages a bad guy to break into my house while I'm at work and take my gold, then go sell it for CASH.
    That's what it encourages.

I've been tempted to put a sign up, instead of NO TRESPASSING, saying "I have nothing left worth anything, so don't bother breaking into this house".

  5. I'm thinking of putting a sign up out here in the country that says "100 acres + backhoe + chicken pit + lime. Owner not responsible for trespassers"

  6. They're encouraging theft.

  7. Are gold prices that high that we have to stand out on the road with a homemade sign? Oh and by the way we have watch batteries for $3.00. Our state of the art advertising program is costing us a fortune.

  8. People will do anything for a 12 pack of Colt 45.

  9. It is a great incentive for the "hoodie patrol" to mug people.

  10. It encourages daytime break-ins in the county. As well as armed robberies of people in the city, especially college students. I bet they have a nice selection of cell phones for sale in there that have been stolen.

  11. It encourages John Robinson to sell the stolen jewlery he buys to these guys.

  12. In Salisbury...StillJune 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM

I know it is a form of advertising and for car washes it seems to work but a giant congratulations goes to the photographer, I have never seen both sign face up at the same time. Good work

  13. Click on the picture and read the business sign in the background. "The World's Most Dangerous Jewler." Two "Available" space signs in the background along with the closed up Boater's World. Who would want to open a store here with this place next door and the Baysinger Trailer Park behind. The police know that trailer park very well.

  14. It encourages racist comments.

  15. How much you want to bet that the owner is here on a work visa.

  16. Looks like it encourages the selling of gold and weak minded theories.

  17. They havent been robbed and they tell everyone they have the cash, uuummmmmm.

  18. Don't the sign ordinances prohibit this stuff along with those little signs on stakes that are all over town now? Bill Holland?

  19. 10:38 What is racist about the comments. The only one that is close is the colt 45 comment. But then what your saying is no one esle can enjoy colt 45.

  20. I agree with most of the comments. It is indeed incentive to mug people for their jewelry and to break into homes. Haven't you noticed the daily muggings and burgleries in Salisbury.

  21. 10:38 AM and 11:18 AM. Are you that much of a Liberal and narrow minded moron to see what it encourages. Where are the racist comments? You people are very ignorant and that is what is wrong with this country today.

By the way I bet you voted for Obama.

    ReplyDelete
  22. And he pays them under the table, takes stolen gold and gets away with it all.

    ReplyDelete
  23. He is also advertising the universal symbol for Touch Down!! Clam down 10:38 this is not a racist remark.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Am I missing something? How exactly are ANY of these comments racist?

    ReplyDelete
  25. 12:41p mentioned Obama, that makes all these comments racist Totmom...(this is sarcasm, duh! to all you who are gonna jump on this) But really, they aren't exactly racist comments, but more stereotypical than anything. You people should watch Dave Chappelle Show re-runs, then you'll know what's racist-really. He's funny and entertaining and at the same time you're learning how people would like to be treated by other races.

  29. This is sad, very sad. Not the guys standing out on Rt. 13 for $8.00 dollars an hour, but that people are that stupid or broke to sell their gold for less then it's worth. If you have any gold, keep it because it's only going to be worth more in years to come.

  30. Joe,
I would like to explain to you exactly what these pieces of scum are doing.

First of all, state law regulates that any pawn/buy on loan company document all actions and loan/purchases. It states that you must have ID and ID must be a legal document.

These guys were investigated by Wicomico Co sheriffs office and Ocean City Police Dept. What they are doing is they are buying any type of gold you take in. They are basically beating the system by not getting any id or documenting anything. If they feel the merchandise is stolen, they buy the merchandise and ship that particular merchandise to their shop in Arizona. There is no way for local agencys to keep up with what they are sending out to their other shops in the west. This is why they get away with the crap.

  31. It encourages me to think well of two young men, who are willing to stand in the hot sun and work to try to earn a living.
My hat is off to them and the others, with similar jobs, around town.

  32. This is what that picture reminds me of!!

    ------------

Police: Residents to guard against burglaries

SALISBURY -- Recently Wicomico County has experienced a rise in daytime burglary and Wicomico Bureau of Investigation, Maryland State Police and the Wicomico Sheriff's Office would like to ask for the public's assistance.

Many citizens have left their homes for the day only to return to find their home broken into, police said.

Police ask residents of Wicomico County to learn the vehicles and identity of the people that live in and around the neighborhood. Remember to note as many things as you can about a suspicious person or vehicle to include tag numbers.

Call Maryland State Police at 410-749-3101 or the Wicomico Sheriff's Office at 410-548-4891.
