On August 28, 2008 at approximately 11:45 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by suspect # 1 in the area of Snow Hill Rd. and Vine St. During the traffic stop, the officers observed suspicious behavior from both subjects which led to a K-9 check of the vehicle. The K-9 responded from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office. Following the positive indication from the K-9, the vehicle was checked and officers located a quantity of suspected crack/cocaine and two (2) smoking devices within the vehicle.
ARRESTED #1: Edward Gunnar Johnson, 40 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
ARRESTED #2: Guy William Broadhurst, 36 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES (Both):
Possession of cocaine
Possession of cds/paraphernalia
DISPOSITION: Both suspects released to Central Booking CC # 200800032068
On August 28, 2008 at approximately 4:07 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Sears Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers were advised that employees of the business had observed the below listed suspect take clothing from the store without making any attempts at payment. When stopped, the suspect was also found to have stolen property from the Deb Store. The property was recovered.
ARRESTED: Maria Flores Chavez, 32 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100) (2 counts)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800032103
On August 28, 2008 at approximately 4:43 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department arrested the below listed suspect as a result of a prostitution investigation on August 23. On that date, the suspect was found to have been involved in an act of prostitution.
ARRESTED: Brandie Leann Parker, 28 years of Eden, Maryland
CHARGES: Prostitution - General
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800031255
Hey Joe, did the SPD notify the WCSD they got Broadhurst? Back in May you posted that he was wanted for theft from the county. I'd be curious to see if SPD is checking warrants etc....
