If there's anyone to blame, (should he be found sleeping) it's all John Cannon's fault. The man can't seem to keep County Council Meetings exciting and is the reason for so many people taking a snooze.

ReplyDeleteShea has been sleeping on the job for years. That is just one of the reasons why Mr. Pollitt should have rid the county of him. How much do these naps cost the county when he is paid over $100,000?

ReplyDeleteThe elected executive form of government is inherently more expensive that simply hiring a good city or county manager -- who can be canned in a heartbeat if they don't perform.
We have a City of Salisbury budget with $500,000 for the mayor's office -- that's more than road replacement. And now the County is playing "catch-up".
The Executive form of government is apparently still on hold in Wicomico County. No leadership has been demonstrated at all to this point in time. Sad.

ReplyDeleteOle Sleepy Shea has been asleep at the wheel for many years now. Mike Thompson the Assistant County Administrator used to do the same thing. I remember walking in the County Office once and saw Mike Thompson at his desk with his feet propped up and sleeping. Sleepy was out of town so he took advantage of his authority. Typical government employees.
ReplyDeleteTed Shea has more knowledge in his arm pit than most of those who are bashing him. Lay off Ted is a good honest man who has done alot for this county. Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes. And most of you all don't have enough education to fill one of them
