The Salisbury Zoo Is Still Short A Director
I'm told there were three applicants that met with the Mayor and the Zoo Commission and the end result was, NO. As a matter of fact, I'm told the applicants were told "they were going in a different direction."
Ads are being run again with the AZA in the hopes of finding someone who knows how to build an Arc for all the animals, gearing up for the 100 year flood. Does anyone here know of someone named Noah? I'm told that will be a big added plus.

The Maryland Senate approved a tax package today that will increase the Sales, Tobacco and Corporate income tax rates. This is their way to raise more than $1.4 billion as the General Assembly works to address the state's structural budget deficit.
The Senate plan, (which passed on a 24-23 vote) is expected to change during a conference with the House of Delegates in a special session called by Gov. Martin O'Malley. The House is working on their own tax legislation that is shaping up in significantly different ways and is expected to reach the floor for debate as early as today.
"We seem to be so concerned about, (as the governor calls them) the working poor, and it seems to me they're going to be the people who are going to own cars that are 10 or 12 years old and break down more often," said Del. D. Page Elmore, an Eastern Shore Republican. "This will be a tax on the working poor."

SPD Press Release
November 9, 2007
Peter Reynold Battle, Jr, 22yoa, of Fruitland, Md was arrested for 1st and 2nd degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. Officers responded to a reported fight involving a subject with a knife at the Monkey Barrel Bar in the 1100 block of South Salisbury Boulevard. On arrival officers met with an off duty officer that was detaining Battle in the outside parking lot of the business. It was learned that Battle’s brother was escorted from the business earlier for being disorderly. Once outside, Battle produced a knife from his pants and extended the blade. Battle then made threatening gestures with the knife to employees before he was disarmed by the off duty officer. Battle was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Pucker Up Those Cheeks Because Gas Prices Will Be Over $3.40 Per Gallon
I just received word from a reliable source that gasoline will reach more than $3.40 a gallon by Thanksgiving.
That's right, it's going to get far worse than we ever thought. Between City taxes going up, State taxes going up and now gas prices through the roof, how long will Americans stand for it before someone finally blows their top?
Does everyone realize what this is doing to our local economy? The Salisbury Kennel Club is holding their annual Show at the Civic Center and let me tell you, they lost more than 300 entries this year because people from New York and so forth couldn't afford the gas prices to travel all the way here to be in the Show.
That means less Hotel Room rentals. Less sales at local restaurants. Less gas being sold at the pumps and it trickles down from there. I just don't know how many families out there are even surviving?

So Why Are ALL The Other Local Media Sources Ignoring This Statement?
Dave Winslow is in charge of the Salisbury Waste Water Treatment Plant. When someone in his position tells you they won't drink the City Water because it's contaminated, shouldn't everyone be warned and alarmed?
This is exactly why I created this Blog and it is also why it has proven to be such a huge success. Similar to the threats in the High School recently, the local Press covered up the story, even though I had proof something was going on.
Now the City of Salisbury is paying for bottled water because the water, even at the WWTP is contaminated. Well, I guess the word will continue to spread that even though you may not agree with every story here, sbynews at least delivers you rock solid information you obviously won't get anywhere else and that's what draws so many to this Site.
I personally see NO reason at all why everyone else clammed up about this. It's the City's own document they cannot hide, unless perhaps someone in the City is telling them to shut up?????

Andy Harris Votes NO On Slots!
For those of you who were interested on how Andy Harris voted yesterday on Slots it went as follows.
The first vote was what they call an up or down vote, YES for slots or NO against slots. Andy Harris voted NO.
The vote passed YES so they moved on to the next stage for referendum and again Andy Harris voted NO.
Andy tried to move to remove Slots OFF the Eastern Shore but couldn't get it passed, therefore he voted against slots.
I think this says a lot about who this man is. He has heard what people on the Eastern Shore have to say and even though so many people on the Western Shore are for slots, he stood his ground like a good man should.
The Senate Voted 16-31 On This (To Exempt The Shore From The Additional Sales Tax) Thus, Killed It:

Although Exclusively On A SFD Post, This Isn't A Fire Fighter, Right?
"i guarantee that you have never physically been standing there and heard anyone call LC a nigger. and you by far are the biggest (with the old definition) nigger i have ever seen or met."
It's wonderful to be loved by such a LARGE organization. I'll bet many of your Brothers in the Fire Department would LOVE to know who you are.

Some Idiot Took Me Literally!
Remember the other day when I put up a Post called, "Drive Thru Barber Shops Just Don't Cut It?"
It didn't take but a couple of days before someone pulled in front of the exact same Barber Shop and floored the gas, (by accident) and drove right on in! Sorry Guys! Next time I'll make the title say, Barbers become Multi Millionaires Overnight. Hopefully that comes true instead! Now go out and buy some Lottery Tickets! HURRY!
Star Wars In The Park
Last night the Bar Association put off a unique show featuring the original movie, Star Wars. The turn out was actually fantastic. It was certainly cold out last night but everyone, (smart enough) dressed up warm enough to stick around. Hot Chocolate was served and the picture quality IMO was equal to going to the Theater. If you're throwing off a part for your kids, call Home Media One and let them do all the work while providing a good clean atmosphere for your children. They can be reached at, 302-423-2951.
Bill Reddish, (WICO) Hushed Up
The word on the street is that Bill Reddish, the 1320 AM Announcer has been allegedly hushed up.
The normally outspoken Reddish has calmed down ever since Mayor Barrie Tilghman and Council President Louise Smith went after him through his Bosses up North.
Word is, Bill lost his nerve and now hosts a pampered easy going Show with nothing controversial any more. As many controversial projects in the works, Bill has plenty of material to use but like I said, word has it he's no scared of his own shadow, or his Bosses are.
I listened this morning and all I could think was, YAWN! They should name it the Bill & Billy Show and invite Billy Duvall to join him every morning. Every piece of news comes from everyone else, not from WICO. Bill should do like Billy does and say, go HERE to the Daily Times for this news. Go HERE to get news from WMDT.
All I can tell you is, I would quit my job if I couldn't be me. Bill Reddish is no longer Bill Reddish. They have the show called the Pampered Chef. We've got the Pampered Reddish. Better grow a pair real soon Bill or you're going to flop. Think about it this weekend and hopefully you'll come back on Monday not acting like a scared Pansy.
UPDATE: Yeah, Bill's Show sucks! Hell, John Robinson was more exciting than listening to Reddish interview someone from "The National Christian Choir" singing Oh Holy Night. Wooo Hooooo, Weeee Hooooo! WICO flat out sucks any more. By the way, I'm NOT at all suggesting this Choir isn't fantastic. My point is that the image I'm seeing in my mind any more of Bill Reddish is now more like Richard Simmons instead.

Sbynews Cranks Out The Posts
After a few complaints yesterday referencing Posts, I would hope yesterday made up for lost time? Every so often I'll get one of the Anti Albero Idiots complaining that it must be a slow news day because I didn't put up enough Posts to satisfy them.
Well Barrie, just because I left that Post up about you for the longest time doesn't mean it didn't get the attention I wanted it to get. LOL
I'll repeat, I'm a one man show. I believe I put up some 16 Posts yesterday. I don't think The Daily Times provided 16 local stories yesterday, I could be wrong. However, they have a Staff of over 200 people, I'm just one.
Anyhow, the "Whose More Stupider" Post certainly grabbed every one's attention. I even noticed Old Man Duvall was ragging on me about the title. ROTFLMAO! Message to Bill Duvall, get a life and a sense of humor, Idiot.
When you're raising a 7 year old and he's doing all these words for homework, it's easy to get tips from this little guy as to his version of how things are "spelldidded." LOL
Next time I'll put up, THIS IS A JOKE BILLY!
