Citi: 'Only a Matter of Time' Before Gold Hits Record, Tops $2,000

Bullish factors building in the gold market are set to see prices take out the record set in 2011, according to Citigroup Inc.

The metal is benefiting from loose monetary policy, low real yields, record inflows into exchange-traded funds and increased asset allocation, the bank’s analysts including Ed Morse wrote in a report. Gold is expected to climb to an all-time high in the next six-to-nine months, and there’s a 30% probability it’ll top $2,000 an ounce in the next three-to-five months.

“Nominal gold prices have already posted fresh records in every other G-10 and major emerging market currency this year,” the analysts said. “It is only a matter of time for fresh” highs in U.S. dollars, they said, adding that demand for a store of wealth should also lift silver, which touched a three-year high in New York on Monday.

Citigroup is among a long line of market watchers in predicting bullion will either test or top its long-standing record as the resurgence of coronavirus cases in several parts of the world point to a prolonged and uneven global economic recovery. Spot gold has surged 19% this year to the highest since 2011 as the pandemic drove investors to havens, while easier monetary policy and other measures to shore up economies also supported demand.

Suspect Who Killed Son Of Epstein-Linked Judge Identified

Update (1540ET): Citing federal law enforcement sources, the NY Post has just published more details about the deceased suspect in an attack that left the son of a judge overseeing a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank involving the bank's failure to hold Epstein accountable.

Though some reports claim the suspect actually intended to target Judge Salas's husband, it appears initial reports that the suspect was a lawyer who had once argued a case before the judge have been confirmed.

The suspect, whose body was found in the Catskills, has been identified as lawyer and men's rights activist Roy Den Hollander. It's believed that Hollander had a case pending before Salas where he was challenging the "men's only" draft. Hollander also once sued Chuck Todd of NBC’s Meet the Press, the New York Times’ commentator David Brooks, and Major Garrett of CBS. He accused them of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act by allegedly committing “wire fraud” for publishing "fake news" reports about President Trump.

One Wisconsin Democratic Party insider familiar with convention planning told the Milwaukee Business Journal he estimates about 350 official attendees will be in town.

BACKLASH AFTER NYT COLUMNIST SAYS REPUBLICAN VOTERS WOULD RATHER BURN ‘ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD’ THAN RENT ROOM TO NON-WHITES

The journalist argued that such sentiment is quite common among caucasian Republicans.

New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali has faced backlash after he said that, if given a choice between having a non-white tenant or burning their house down, GOP voters would rather set fire to the whole area.

Ali, who is the Times’ contributing op-ed writer and was formerly a CNN commentator, raised quite a few eyebrows when he tweeted the claim on Sunday.

“I hope people realize that there are many white Republican voters in this country if they’re given a choice between renting a room in their house to a person of color or burning down the house, they will elect to burn down the entire neighborhood,” he tweeted.

The journalist argued that such sentiment is quite common among caucasian Republicans, adding: “It’s not just a small fringe.”

Biden, at Muslim voters summit, says ‘I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith’

The country’s largest Muslim American PAC has endorsed Biden

Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden spoke to a summit of Muslim voters Monday, telling them he wished U.S. schools taught more about Islam.

"I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith. I wish we talked about all the great confessional faiths. It's one of the great confessional faiths," Biden said Monday at the “Million Muslim Votes” summit hosted by Emgage Action.

Emgage Action, the country’s largest Muslim American PAC, endorsed Biden in April after endorsing Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary.

Biden told the voters he would end President Trump's travel ban affecting Muslim-majority countries on day one of his presidency and blamed the White House’s current occupant for “an unconscionable rise in Islamophobia.”

FBI knew ‘collusion’ was a nothing-burger, but kept fake scandal alive anyway

‘We have not seen evidence of any individuals affiliated with the Trump team in contact with [Russian intelligence officers].”

How much wasted time on pointless investigations could have been prevented had Peter Strzok, then one of the FBI’s top counterintelligence officials who was spearheading the Bureau’s Trump-Russia investigation, said this publicly one month into President Trump’s term?

But no, it was a private note by Strzok, for consumption within the FBI, to debunk a Feb. 14, 2017, New York Times article. The news story, a compilation by five of the Times’s top reporters, working four unnamed sources (the usual “current and former American officials”), claimed that members of the Trump campaign had “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials” before the 2016 election.

This was false. Just as important, the FBI knew it was false.

But we, the American people, only know that now, in 2020, because Strzok’s notes were finally made public on Friday.

The Times article centrally identified former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort as a key adviser in communication with Kremlin spies. Strzok, however, countered that the Bureau was “unaware of any calls with any Russian government official in which Manafort was a party.”

AT LEAST 65 SHOT, 10 FATALLY, OVER WEEKEND IN MAYOR LORI LIGHTFOOT’S CHICAGO

Mayor Lightfoot’s most recent suggestion for curtailing the violence was to offer up more gun control

At least 65 people were shot, 10 fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

On July 19, 2020, Breitbart News reported 50 had been shot, at least six killed, between Friday evening and Sunday morning alone. Those numbers only rose as the rest of Sunday played out.

NBC 5 reports the shootings began Friday at 5:30 p.m. “in the 8200 block of South Drexel.” Three individuals were standing on the sidewalk when someone opened fired from inside a vehicle. A “14-year-old boy was hit in the face, a 21-year-old man was hit in the arm and a 27-year-old woman was hit in the buttocks.”

What Did Comey Know And When Did He Know It?

On March 20, 2017, then-FBI Director James Comey told Congress that the FBI was formally investigating whether there were contacts between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. We later learned that the alleged basis for this investigation was the Steele Dossier. Since then, we’ve also learned that the information in the Steele Dossier was fake.

The answer, based upon newly released documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee, is that by mid-February 2017 Comey knew or should have known that the Steele Dossier was a hoax perpetrated by the Hillary campaign.

To go back a step, we know from Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s December 2019 report that the FBI relied upon the Steele Dossier both to spy on Carter Page and to investigate the Trump campaign. The same report establishes that the FBI’s investigation revealed that Steele’s information came from a source who, in turn, got his information from yet another source. By March 20, when Comey announced that the FBI was looking into the Trump campaign, FBI agents on the ground had already stated that the primary source had no credibility.

What the Horowitz Report did not address was when Comey personally learned about the credibility problem. Comey refused to cooperate with the IG investigation, so Horowitz glossed over Comey’s knowledge or lack thereof. One of the problems (see pp. 370-371 of the report) was that the FBI agents who interviewed the sub-source wrote documents falsely implying that he was reliable, even as their notes said otherwise.

That confusion held Horowitz back from imputing knowledge to Comey. The two newly declassified documents, however, practically cry out that, when Comey announced the Trump investigation, he knew or should have known that it had no basis.

The first document, which is heavily redacted, establishes that the primary source was not (as many speculated) a highly placed Russian. Contacts with the Kremlin would have militated in favor of believing him or her. But when the FBI identified Steele’s primary source, they found that he was not a Russian official, nor was he even based in Russia. That should have been a huge red flag that there was a problem.

The second document poses an even bigger problem for Comey. On February 14, 2017, the New York Times published an article entitled, “Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contact With Russian Intelligence.” Peter Strzok, who headed the Trump investigation (aka Operation Crossfire Hurricane), read the article and made notes establishing that the FBI had no basis for investigating Trump. “This is Already Getting Very Ugly – We Are Very, Very Few Steps Away from Violence” – Former US Attorney Joe diGenova on Today’s Democrats

Former US Attorney Joe diGenova says the Democrat Party has gone full communist.

Former US Attorney Joe diGenova was on the radio earlier today with Mornings with the Mall as part of his weekly interview. At the beginning of interview diGenova discussed the John Durham investigation and how the Durham team is working on guilty pleas with members of the Deep State involved in the failed coup attempt of President Trump.

After this the subject changed to Democrat Represenative Adam Schiff. Lying Schiff did an interview on a podcast this past week that was shared and discussed. Schiff was calling AG Bill Barr a criminal for upholding the letter of the law and bringing individuals involved in the attempted coup of President Trump to justice.

Schiff has lied about everything over these past few years. He lied about the Steele dossier and the Ukraine sham. We know about his lies related to the Mueller investigation but we still haven’t seen the interview from the impeachment hearing from the former IG of the Intel Community. It’s expected that that interview will expose the entire Ukraine impeachment was another hoax.

Ilhan Omar, prominent Muslims endorse Biden: 'A lot is at stake'

Several prominent Muslim American elected officials endorsed Joe Biden for president in a letter organized by Emgage Action ahead of an online summit that starts Monday and features the presumptive Democratic nominee.

Among those signing the letter, obtained by The Associated Press, are Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Indiana Rep. Andre Carson, all Democrats. Omar, one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, served as a high-profile surrogate for Bernie Sanders before he exited the presidential race in April - making her support for Biden potentially helpful as the former vice president seeks to mobilize Muslim voters this fall.

The letter coincides with an online summit that Emgage Action has titled “Million Muslim Votes,” underscoring its emphasis on boosting Muslim turnout in November. Biden is set to address the gathering on Monday.

Joe Biden’s presence serves not only to galvanize Muslim Americans to cast their ballots, but to usher in an era of engaging with Muslim American communities under a Biden administration,” Wa’el Alzayat, CEO of Emgage Action, said by email.

“We anticipate that a Biden administration would provide Muslim American communities platforms to speak on issues affecting us, represent us within the administration and in policymaking discourses.”

BREAKING: Armed St. Louis Couple Has Been Charged For Defending Their Lives and Property

Mark and Patricia McCloskey have been charged by a politically motivated prosecutor in St. Louis for defending their lives and their property against a mob that trespassed onto their home after breaking through a private gate. They face a felony and misdemeanor charge for "unlawful use of a weapon."

"Today my office filed charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey following an incident involving peaceful, unarmed protestors on June 28th. It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening manner at those participating in nonviolent protest, and while we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis. The decision to issue charges was made after a thorough investigation with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department," St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner released in a statement. "I am open to recommending the McCloskey's participate in one of my office's diversion programs that are designed to reduce unnecessary involvement with the courts. I believe this would be a fair resolution to this matter."

Nowhere in the statement does Gardner acknowledge the violent trespassing. The mob was asked to leave and refused. According to Mark McCloskey, a man in the crowd clicked two loaded gun magazines together and said "you're next."

Governor Hogan Statement on COVID-19 Priorities for Nation’s Governors

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan, chair of the National Governors Association, issued the following statement today:

“At this critical juncture in our ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are five urgent priorities the nation’s governors need the Trump Administration to address:

“First, we continue to call on the administration to extend the public health emergency, which is set to expire this Saturday, July 25.

“Second, more than half of governors have already requested an extension of Title 32 authorization past the current expiration date of August 21. The National Guard remains a critical part of our public health response.

“Third, we are pressing for a 30-day delay of any changes to new hospital reporting requirements, which impose an undue burden on hospitals and state health departments. To demand these changes be made in a matter of 48 hours is unreasonable, and threatening to jeopardize life-saving supplies of remdesivir for not complying is unconscionable.

“Fourth, the nation’s governors and education leaders have appealed to Congress for education funding that prioritizes both learning and safety. We are specifically calling on Congress to prohibit any conditions being placed on relief funding that would mandate specific models of K-12 or higher education reopenings.

“Lastly, and most importantly, we continue to stress the need for Congress to pass a coronavirus relief package that provides the funding desperately needed by state and local governments. Millions of state and local government jobs depend on this aid.

“The president, vice president, and Secretary Mnuchin have all previously committed to support this funding, but there are growing indications that it is no longer a priority. It is crunch time now, and we are ready to work with leaders in both parties to get this done.”

Complying With Mask Mandate: As Seen On Facebok

Since I have thought about it overnight I have decided to comply with the mask mandates. After all, I want to be a great Patriot and American and definitely don’t want to be selfish. So if it saves lives I’ll do it. But I need guidance from the experts on here since I am obviously clueless. Please help.

QUESTION(s):

1) After shopping at the local grocery store, do we leave the masks on once we leave or does the virus just stay in the stores?
- If we leave it on, then for how long?
- How many miles can I drive before it is safe to remove the mask?
2) What about my fingers, arms, legs, head, neck, and toes? Should I disinfect them BEFORE or AFTER I remove my mask? After all, they were exposed at the store.
2.1) if I touch my mask do I have to sanitize my hands
2.2) now I contaminated my hand sanitizer bottle. What do I do?
3) When we arrive home from the grocery store do we disinfect the goods and bags BEFORE we bring them inside or AFTER?
- Do I put the mask back on?
4) Once we have the goods inside do we disinfect the entire car or just the trunk?
5) Do we need to disinfect our countertops, pantries, refrigerator, entire kitchen, the dogs (they always sniff the bags) doors we touched, the garage, driveway, and street?
6) What should we do about the food and goods purchased? Do we need to disinfect all these items as well? After all, they were in the grocery store exposed to all these nasty liberal viruses.
7) What should I do with my homemade fancy cloth mask? Do I burn it? It was also exposed to the nasty liberal virus at the store?
😎 What about the clothes I wore to the store? Is disinfecting them ok? Do I disinfect them in the grocery store parking lot or in my garage?
9) What about my eyes? Are there special eye drops I need to take? Where do I get those?
10) After consuming the goods from the store do I need a biohazard bag for the waste? (Both trash and poop)
11) Is the juice and milk I bought safe to drink or should I disinfect it first?
12) Is there a specific shampoo to use if I get a hair cut to disinfect my hair?
13) My meds...what about my meds? Are they safe to orally consume or should I disinfect them too?
14) If I shop at a hardware store should I disinfect each screw, nut, and bolt BEFORE or AFTER I put them in my project?
15) I want to paint my room but I am not sure if I should disinfect the paint BEFORE or AFTER I apply it to the walls.
16) What if I forgot to follow any of the above do I call the fire department, CDC, or psychiatrist?

Coronavirus can live on some masks for up to seven days, researcher says

TUCSON, AZ — New city and countywide mandates require many of us to wear masks in public, but researchers said it's important to treat them like a biohazard.

Professor and Department Chair of Community, Environment and Policy at the University of Arizona Public Health College Kelly Reynolds said, while in public, the virus can get on the front of the mask and live on it for several days.

"By design, the mask could really be contaminated, so we recommend that people think of their masks as a biohazard," Reynolds said.

The virus can live on surgical and N95 masks for up to seven days. Normally, they would be thrown out after one use, but a shortage in Personal Protective Equipment prevents that.

"You can’t just throw them in the washer machine -- that would destroy their fibers," Reynolds said. "For those (N95 and surgical), the best recommendation is to let the natural course of the virus dying off to run its course, so the recommendation is to take those masks and put them in a paper bag and wait seven days before you use them again."

Half of CDC Coronavirus Test Kits Are Inaccurate, Study Finds

Coronavirus testing has been a hot-button issue since the beginning of the pandemic. First, there weren't enough coronavirus tests to go around. Now, a new issue has emerged—just how accurate the tests people are getting actually are. According to a July 17 study published in the International Journal of Geriatrics and Rehabilitation, 50 percent of nucleic acid coronavirus tests distributed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)provided inaccurate results.

The study's lead author, Sin Hang Lee, MD, director of Milford Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, found that the testing kits gave a 30 percent false-positive rate and a 20 percent false-negative rate.

To determine these false-positive and false-negative rates, the Connecticut State Department of Public Health Microbiology Laboratory provided Lee 20 tests, which were then re-tested using his own methodology, which examines samples on a cellular level, rather than just testing fluid with no cellular matter from potentially infected oral and nasal secretions.

Really?

61 Years ago they said it will never happen.  Those that said it never met a millennial!

Khrushchev's Message 61 years ago

Khrushchev also said "We [Communism} will bury you!”  A quick read but a lasting thought.  Pretty scary now.

Khrushchev's Message 61 years ago:

THIS WAS HIS ENTIRE QUOTE:  A sobering reminder.  Almost exactly sixty-one years ago since Russia’s Khrushchev delivered his Do you rememberSeptember 29, 1959?  THIS WAS HIS ENTIRE QUOTE:

"Your children's children will live under communism, You Americans are so gullible.  No, you won't accept communism outright; but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have Communism.  We will not have to fight you; We will so weaken your economy, until you will fall like overripe
fruit into our hands."  "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

Do you remember what Russia's Khrushchev said in 1959?
Remember, socialism leads to Communism. So,how do you create a Socialistic State?

There are 8 levels of control; read the following recipe:

1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.

2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.

3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.

6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people.

8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor.  Eliminate the middle class This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor

perfect parallel to the Democrat agenda!!!!!

UConn Student Government Leaders Resign Because They Are White

The president and vice president of the UConn student government resigned this month on the basis of their skin color. Vice President Alex Ose said that she stepped down to make room for “black, indigenous, and people of color” to step into leadership roles.

According to a report by the College Fix, two leaders of the UConn student government resigned so that their positions could be filled by minority students.

“I feel that it is my duty to step down from my position to make space for BIPOC (black, indigineous and people of color) voices to truly rise and be heard. It is my responsibility to make space, not to create an echo,” student VP Alex Ose said.

Ose even encouraged her peers to follow her lead. She suggested that every white member of the student government should step down so that their position could be filled by a minority student.

“I am asking all members of USG to truly consider their intent in holding their positions, and to urge everyone to truly think if they are making space for the voices that need to be heard right now,” Ose added. “I call upon the senators and executive board to consider also stepping down to make space for BIPOC voices.”

Democrats Fume As DHS Tackles Portland Anarchy While Trump Plans To Send Feds To Major Cities

As Portland slips further into chaos amid the seventh week of nightly protests, local and state officials have slammed the Trump administration for sending Homeland Security agents to perform crowd control and arrest what DHS Secretary Chad Wolf described last week as "lawless anarchists."

In response to the DHS presence, Oregon's Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum sued DHS and the Marshals Service in federal courtover unidentified federal agents grabbing people off the streets of Portland "without warning or explanation, without a warrant, and without providing any way to determine who is directing this action."

The state seeks a temporary restraining order to "immediately stop federal authorities from unlawfully detaining Oregonians."

"The current escalation of fear and violence in downtown Portland is being driven by federal law enforcement tactics that are entirely unnecessary," said Rosenblum in a statement.

NYC Landlords slash Prices on Third of Rentals as Newyorkers Flee

More than one-third of New York rentals were discounted during the second quarter as demand continues to slump thanks to the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic - including the flood of workers telecommuting instead of vying for limited rental space downtown.

According to Fox Business, rent prices were discounted an average of 6.7% ($221 per month) across 34.7% of New York properties in Q2 - with rents at higher-end apartments experiencing the highest cuts "as wealthy buyers have flocked to the suburbs since March."

"Demand will remain low as new hires, interns and students begin jobs and school remotely, and as many New Yorkers escape the city temporarily or permanently," said StreetEasy economist Nancy Wu. "As inventory piles up due to this lack in demand, even more landlords will need to make rent cuts, and rents will likely drop even further."

The second quarter of 2020 marked the first time since the Great Recession that there was a year-over-year rent price drop in the metro.

Meanwhile, StreetEasy saw an uptick in interest in Manhattan’s outer boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn.

Wu said remote work makes commuting an insignificant factor in choosing an apartment location, which helps explain an increase in interest in Queens and Brooklyn. That’s a trend that will continue as long as social distancing orders are in place, she predicted.

Rent prices rose in both areas during the second quarter – although at a modest and slower pace. -Fox Business

According to Miller Samuel Inc. and Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Manhattan leases dropped 35.6% in June vs. the prior year, which followed declines of 37.7% in March, a record 70.9% in April and a 62.2% drop in May. This comes as Manhattan apartment sales dropped by 54% in the second quarter, the largest percentage decline in 30 years, according to Elliman. Median sales price fell 18% to $1 million, the largest price decline in a decade.

In April, we reported that New York City lease agreements had plunged 38% in March y/y, the second largest drop in 11 years.

Joe Biden signed the death warrant for his campaign last week, even if he doesn’t know it. The joint manifesto he released with Bernie Sanders is 110 pages of radical far-left policies — from a job-killing $2 trillion climate agenda to eliminating cash bail and dismantling border protection.

It betrays the working-class voters Biden claims to represent and destroys any pretense that he is a “moderate.”

The family that owns The New York Times were slaveholders: Goodwin

It’s far worse than I thought. In addition to the many links between the family that owns the New York Times and the Civil War’s Confederacy, new evidence shows that members of the extended family were slaveholders.

Last Sunday, I recounted that Bertha Levy Ochs, the mother of Times patriarch Adolph S. Ochs, supported the South and slavery. She was caught smuggling medicine to Confederates in a baby carriage and her brother Oscar joined the rebel army.

I have since learned that, according to a family history, Oscar Levy fought alongside two Mississippi cousins, meaning at least three members of Bertha’s family fought for secession.

Adolph Ochs’ own “Southern sympathies” were reflected in the content of the Chattanooga Times, the first newspaper he owned, and then the New York Times. The latter published an editorial in 1900 saying the Democratic Party, which Ochs supported, “may justly insist that the evils of negro suffrage were wantonly inflicted on them.”

Six years later, the Times published a glowing profile of Confederate President Jefferson Davis on the 100th anniversary of his birth, calling him “the great Southern leader.”
