Horowitz: Teen accused of killing man in horrific knockout at Frederick Fair gets anger management and ZERO prison time

Unacceptable

John Weed was enjoying the Frederick County, Maryland, Fair last September when a group of teens surrounded him and beat him to death. One of the two brothers involved who later spat on Weed's lifeless body has now been sentenced by the judge. Did he get the death penalty, which is what Weed suffered in front of his own family in broad daylight at a rural county fair? Nope, he was told to report to anger management class. Welcome to justice in America?

It's a trend all over the country where groups of predominantly black teens, often numbering 20 or more, surround a victim – black or white– and beat the individual, sometimes to death, in the ultimate act of group cowardice. There is simply no deterrent against these attacks. These kids usually have long rap sheets and never get prison time. Now, we see that is the case even after they kill.

  1. This is effing disgusting. Those disgusting "juveniles" won't change, they will just do it again. But apparently it's okay to commit crimes now if you're black because trying to lock them up makes you a racist. What the heck is our country coming to? I'm ready for the civil war. Let the white apologists and the criminals have their own space, and let the rest of us live in a country with enforced laws and common decency.

  7. This is so wrong in so many ways, I am lost for words. I don’t always need to protect myself, but when I do I prefer Smith & Wesson. Stay safe my friends

No, the judges do not need to be prosecuted.
What, and then sentence them to class time?

    HANGINGS.

    The only answer for judges.

Regarding the thugs: Who is going to issue justice now?
Who has the stomach to do what is necessary?

    1. Not a correct statement. I am not 4:36, but have studied martial arts. I had to defend my person on one occasion and made out fine in Wicomico County District Court. Did not have to pay medical expenses either. I was told the subject was trying to run the cost up for me to pay. Not proud of what I had to do, but there was a case where I did not want to be the victim. Been a few years ago, could be different today. Only time I had to defend myself thank goodness.

  15. These thugs need to be hunted down and killed like the feral pigs that they are. Justice doesn't appear to reside in the courts anymore.

  16. 436 is a douchebag. Don’t bring your “hands” to a gunfight.

  17. Get a gun if you don't have one yet.

The gestapo in Maryland tell us THEY will protect us. How did THAT work out for THAT man?? (the sheriff admits he was "seconds away", LOL!)

You are too inept and careless to be able to protect yourself.

So....DON'T ask their "permission". The CONSTITUTION gives us permission and there isn't any line specifying which cop or politician gets to decide which one of our rights THEY must approve of before one can actually exercise them.

This stuff isn't getting any better. Animals have been given tacit approval to burn, loot, and kill -- WITH the governments permission! And, you cheerleading fools think they have YOUR best interests in mind??????

They can do as they please. You cheered the politicians who made this a reality.
Just don't bring it around me. BIG mistake.

  18. Weeds family wanted these boys placed in juvenile programs. This was not premeditated murder, nor was the intention murder. This teen was charged with Manslaughter.

Before knee jerk reactions, try checking into the details on the case first.

I bet most of the reactions here come from a place of fear and misunderstanding.

    1. I don’t fear any man, nor do I buy your bull. These punks should be hold up in a tank. They have no business ever seeing another County Fair. The family is not the justice system. They may have their opinion if bleeding heart liberals or hard core bad asses. But it’s not their call. The robe gets the big bucks for deciding.

Yep. It's not their call, but the justice system took their opinions into consideration, and then the justice system handed down the appropriate verdict.

Guess you were too busy trying to be a "hard core bad ass" to pay attention to the fact that you appeal to the justice system, then complain when it doesn't hand down the verdict YOU would prefer. Are YOU the justice system? That's rhetorical... the answer is NO. The court doesn't care about YOUR opinion in this case, why? Because YOUR opinion isn't relevant. However, they DO take into consideration the families perspective, because IT IS relevant.

You go on being a hard core bad ass.
