DC making Mask mandatory when leaving the house

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Face coverings will now be mandatory for any D.C. resident leaving their homes, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced during a Wednesday press conference.

Bowser says this means a mask must be worn when ordering food at a restaurant, waiting for a bus, sitting in a cubicle in an open office space, and walking your dog, just to name a few examples.
We know that without a vaccine or a cure for COVID, we have to continue to take precautions. In other parts of the world, they have been able to significantly reduce the transmission and get the virus under control.

There are several exceptions to the rule:
Not required for individuals in an enclosed office
Not required for children under the age of 2
Not required when eating or drinking
Not required if vigorously exercising

"In most cases, if you're outside your house, you should have a mask on," Bowser says.

  1. Readers may want to search for mask information on the internet.
Masks do not prevent the spread of virus, and this has been documented for decades.
Masks pose a danger to those who wear them and tend to make for a weaker immune system.

    Bottom line:

    VIRUS IS MICROSCOPIC

Keep reminding yourself of that fact so you don't lose your mind.
It doesn't feel natural or normal to wear a face mask because it isn't natural or normal.
    It is enslavement.
    A muzzle.

  2. 3:10. I agree. Everyone should do a little research on thiis. Easy to find info all over the internet to support both the for and against mask debate. What we do know is that the areas and countries that have the highest compliance with mask wearing are also the areas having the greatest success at keeping Covid-19 at bay. All these months wasted over people stupidly and selfishly refusing to wear masks. And of course it doesn’t feel natural or normal to wear a mask. But it’s what we have to do until we get control of this virus. That’s the only way we will get our economy back on track and return to some semblance of normal.

  6. No one has the right to make me wear anything I don't want to wear. You have the right to run away from me. 10 supreme court cases back this up, and also back up the Governor's lack of authority to make a law requiring this or fining anyone either.

So, FU, I'm not wearing a mask.

In fact, ALL the mask manufacturers have disclaimer clauses on their packaging saying their product in no way prevents the spread of disease.

    So, FU, NO.
