Beginning today July 18th, we will be closing as an employee has tested positive for covid-19.
We are taking all necessary preventative measures to make sure our staff and customers remain safe. We are having our whole building professionally disinfected and all employees will be tested. We hope to be open late next week, after we receive test results back from all of our employees.
Please know that everyone's safety is our main concern and we will keep up with all cleaning procedures and safety measures as we always have.
Thank you for your understanding and kindness as we navigate through these times.

I Haven't seen anyone with even a cold since January. People who have 3 underlying issues are targeted. I have been out every day since the virus locked down states. Going to Target and Wal-Mart, supporting restaurants and fast food businesses that really appreciated the business. Never got sick.

Delete@10:49 Heard immunity? That's 60 to 70 percent of the population. We're not even close to heard immunity. These are young workers in Ocean City getting tested after becoming symptomatic. There are many more asymptomatic cases and one could assume they are spreading the virus too. Ocean City will get their money grab and limp into fall. I'm all for places being open and for our economy to be open. I've however seen many places in Ocean City acting reckless.

I'm from Jersey and work in the healthcare field as well. If your healthy and take the risk it should be your choice... I am grateful that OC MD was open enough to do stuff. It is in all reality the flu and kills less then 1/1000 of 1% of the population amongst 320million legals and 30 million illegals statistically. It preys on elderly with underlying symptoms and randomly some young die... that's the reality... are we suppose to shut down society and go broke for this reason??? Let's think logically...
DeleteSo do we close each and every time someone gets it? And what if someone pulls a positive a month later? It seems as if we only develop immunity for 2 months or so. That means we can get it again. What happens then? Are we planning to shut down Walmart and Lowes (insert other corporations here) every time they have a positive? Lowe’s Home Depot and the big box stores never shut down during the peak they won’t need to shut down in the future...thank goodness you haven’t contracted, and hopefully you never will, or anyone you care about....

ReplyDeleteThat's not true. I know 2 people who got tested for covid-19 and both were negative. One of them even had pneumonia and it wasn't covid related.

My daughter is a nurse and believe me it is real . And I haven't seen, met , spoken to, or come in contact with ANYONE who shows even the minute symptoms of this virus.... Coincidence?? I think not.

DeleteThere have been less than 1,000,000 cases in the U.S. (300,000 confirmed according to JHU and maybe twice as many not reported). There are 330,000,000 in the U.S. How long are we going to wait. At this rate it will take over 100 years to work it's way through half of the population. Unfortunately some will die if they get it, but sooner or later someone will realize that this shutdown will cause a lack of food and goods that will cause starvation and conflict a lot worse than the virus.
