DHS Set to Welcome Many Indian H-1B Visa Workers Back to U.S.

The Department of Homeland Security revealed Wednesday it will allow many Indian H-1B visa workers to return from vacations in their homeland to regain the Fortune 500 U.S. jobs now needed by U.S. graduates.

The agency’s welcome for the H-1B outsourcing workers comes as 25 million Americans seek jobs amid the wreckage caused by China’s coronavirus epidemic, and after President Donald Trump barred the entry of legal immigrants for 60 days.

Late Wednesday, DHS told Breitbart News: “For non-immigrant H1-B workers who possess valid travel documents and who overcome all grounds of inadmissibility, including travel restrictions implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19, [Customs and Border Protection] will continue to process for admission into the United States.”

DHS refused to say if CBP will ask the Indians if their U.S. or Indian employers have already laid them off, or have violated the terms of their work visa. U.S. graduates expect many U.S. employers have laid off some Indian visa workers — alongside Americans — amid the crash.

Federal law requires the Indians to go home if their hours or pay are cut.

  4. 1:43. Americans have had years and years to vie for these jobs. They are either too lazy or uneducated to get them. These are not farm worker jobs. These are professional scientists, programmers, engineers and professionals. The company I work for needs these folks because there simply aren’t enough qualified Americans to fill all these positions.

  6. It's pretty simple. Americans prefer sports and entertainment at the college and professional levels. Sports (athletics), movies/tv (acting). Lots of money made from college, professional sports and movies/tv - infront of the camera and behinds it. Lots of jobs. Then you have the hospitality industry that directly supports sports and entertainment. Hotels, restaurants, merchandise, supplies. Huge industry with money. That gravitates people. $$$$.

What doesn't is medical, engineering, law, scientists, information technology. Who likes that? Non Americans...foreign countries

Why? Cuz America has that need for those in that profession. We are the great melting pot. Land of the free, home of the brave. We have baseball, NFL, NBA, NHL, College....weekends wooooohooo.

Colleges Universities love foreign students coming in paying out of state tuition...why? Money of course!

Long term...who are our Dr's, lawyers, scientists, engineers, IT folks? Who will be in that professional for 30 years making very good salaries?

How long does that college career (whoops they don't get paid)..professional career last? 5 years? 10 years maybe? Couple of years ago Sports Illustrated did an article showing that 75% of NFL athletes are broke after 5 years being out of football.

Which careers make good pay and longevity? Who has those jobs? Who do we see on the now representing the medical industry and giving their opinions throughout each day on the cable channels?

Which industry is not making any money right now and we are not hearing anything from them? Sports and Entertainment.

We keep feeding the monster....and the monster is us. Who holds alot of America's debt?

Other nations are laughing at us, all the way to their banks!
