  1. Actually parents never watched when my husband and I were first married in the 70's we watched ,it was light hearted and our favorites were Guy and Raina.

  2. With Myron Florin on the accordion, and the Lennon Sisters. I admit I had a 8 yr old's crush on the youngest Lennon Sister, seeing her was the high point of the show ... for me.

  5. Yup... I also remember watching 60 minutes, meet the press, ECT.ect.
Dad ruled the roost and we kids were the remote control.
During those times, I believe we could get about 7 channels out of D.C. and 2 OUT of Baltimore. ( maybe 2 or 3 on P.b.s. ) the good old days...

Channel 20 was for kids if you got the chance to watch it. I could't tell you now what was on that channel but it seemed to be set up for kids rather than adults.

  7. Hated having to do that. Loved it when Ed Sullivan started bringing on rock groups. My parents had a fit when he had the Beatles on.

  11. As I remember, it was on Saturday evening. I remember watching it at my Grannys in Western Pa. We were only there for visits on Saturday night as Friday and Sunday were travel days.
